I just bought 2 Sonos play:5 gen:1 and I wanna use it as stereo for my tv setup. but i don’t know how ….😅
Hi question: My living room size is 10'6"x8'10". It opens up in a kitchen (8'8"x9'8") and dining (7'3"x7'1") area. There are no walls between the living, dining and kitchen. Which set-up I should go for? 1) Ultimate Immersive Set with Arc or 2) Immersive Set with Beam? Or anything else? I will use it to watch TV (movies/sports) and music. Thanks in advance.
what is the function of TV Autoplay and why would i want to choose it or not?
I am planning to install Sonos system in our basement. I have a media room which is 325 sqft (18’x18’) and open basement which is roughly 1300 sqft. my questions- should I put an Arc, 2-Era 300 and 1 sub (gen3) in media room. Is that a lot or less? Media room will have 85” tv and we usually don’t watch movies too loud.and for the main open area is Arc, 2-Era 300 and 1 sub (gen3) enough or do I need more. And say I want to play just plain music in both media room and open basement. Can I connect both to play same music?is there better option for me than stated above. All suggestions welcome.Sorry for so many questions. A newbie here!
My two Era 100 speakers are suddenly not pairing up...each plays some different and trying to group them isn’t working...please help!
This is the the worst Sonos product out there, and we have 15 total products. the connection almost never works; it won’t charge, and the music cuts in and out almost every attempt. don’t buy this piece of crap
With the rumours building of an upcoming Video Streaming Set Top Box or Stick, I'm really excited about the potential this device could bring. My feature request is, if Sonos do launch a Set Top Box or Stick, that it enables Wireless connection to Sonos devices (no need to connect Soundbar by HDMI). I also really hope it opens up the option to not have to use a Soundbar at all for Home Cinema and be able to wirelessly connect Sonos Speakers instead.egFront Left One/100/300, Front Right One/100/300Rear Left One/100/300, Rear Right One/100/300 I use Sonos for Music so prefer the stereo separation of 2 Sonos Speakers over a Sonos Soundbar. But would like the option to use the Speakers for my TV Audio aswell. Currently not an option. Please Sonos, utilise your introduction of video hardware to its full potential and provide us with the above functionality.
existe-t-il un microphone pour un chanteur que je pourrais installer sur système Sonos merci
I have Frontier Fiber internet w/Youtube TV being installed next week. I currently have my Boost wired to my TP Link router which is connected to a very old router/modem. Once they change out the router to the new Eeros router I will connect my Boost to the new Eeros router or do I connect my TP Link router to Eeros so that I can connect my Boost to the TP Link router? Thus creating Sonosnet for the rest of my Sonos speakers. I’m hoping for a smooth transition to Frontiers new Fiber internet for my Sonos system.
Hi,I ordered an immersive set (arc / sub / oneSLs) on 06/04 with an estimated shipping date of 06/13. As of today (06/24) the order still shows preparing to ship but there has been no shipment. On repeated conversations with customer support I am being given the same parroted responses about system updates and with no clarity on when or how long will it take for them to ship. Has anyone received their orders recently (socially those who placed the orders in June itself). It is extremely disappointing and frustrating. My two cents: Sonos should stop taking back orders since clearly it’s unable to fulfill them in time, at the least till it gets back enough inventory. I ordered PS5 day before and it arrived today despite known supply shortages around the world.
There appears to be no setting to disable sound effects for touch controls on the Move so when adjusting the volume of the output, you get a disturbing beep for each tap. The volume of the beep is tied to the volume of the device so the louder the volume, the louder the beep which is distracting given that it plays over the intended audio. There are a couple of closed posts on this topic from >1y ago (indicating that this also affects other products than the Move) with an answer that says Sonos will refer it to their engineers. Sonos, can something be done about this seemingly pointless (to me) function to at least handover control of it to the user?
Hi,We want to gather some details from people experiencing issues with playback of 7.1 LPCM audio streams on a Sonos Arc or Beam (Generation 2), via an LG television set. Specifically, when channels are playing from the wrong speakers - for example, but not limited to, if you hear dialogue only coming from the rear speakers, consistently. If you have experienced this channel mis-mapping, please provide, in this thread, the following details:Your LG TV model numberYour media source device name and model number or TV app that the issue was noticed on, and the name of the movie/show that was affectedModels of any other HDMI devices connected to the TV (if applicable)The confirmation number of a Sonos system diagnostic submitted while the affected media was playing and 7.1 LPCM was reported in the Sonos app.Thank you for your assistance.
I couldn’t find new updates to this topic within about the last year so I am throwing this out there again for an update. What music streaming services stream/play in lossless through Sonos? If not answered in the first question, does Apple Music stream/play in lossless through Sonos? Thank you.
I have multiple Sonos amps all connected to router via ethernet (and 1gb fiber internet service), and all music services I use work more or less flawlessly except Amazon Prime Unlimited HD which drops out/pauses/stutters frequently IF I START AN AMAZON PLAYLIST FROM WITHIN THE SONOS APP. However, Amazon music plays perfectly on Sonos IF AND ONLY IF I either start Amazon on Sonos via alexa oir by aircasting from the Amazon music app from my phone. But if I try to play anything from Amazon Music Unlimited via the Sonos app, it will not work. Any suggestions?
The Sonos app indicated that I'm reaching the limit of albums I can add to "My Sonos". Where did this limit come from, what is it, and how can I save more albums? It's not like I have many saved as it is - maybe 20 or so.
We are doing a full remodel and going to be adding Sonos. We plan on having in wall speakers in living room, kitchen, den, and outside. Wall speakers (or ceiling) require the “sonos amp” correct? Other speakers, like sound bars, subs, etc., only require the “sonos port” correct? Using sonos amp and port, we don’t need to also have a separate receiver do we? (yahama as example)? Thank you.
Can I use something like This to connect a turntable to my Beam (Gen 1), and then be able to use it in my Sonos System? If not, why not?
I have a beam set up in a living area. While it is fine for TV watching I want to improve my hi fi audio experience. Would it be better to add a single Five or two Era 100s....I'm thinking that the two Era 100s might give better stereo definition...I don't have the space (or Money for 2 FIVES
Hello, I'm a noob (ie.clueless) when it comes to audio.Sonos have 30% off upgrade offer and I'm tempted to get a Beam 2 to replace my Beam gen 1. The arc is out of my price range :(So, I have a LG TV with eARC, but I watch all my movies via streaming with Apple tv. Streaming means there would be no eArc difference on that front, right?I also have PS5 and Xbox Series X and I'm wondering would the Beam 2 give me much improved audio over the og beam for the consoles? Would eARC make any difference there? What, if any others advantages would the Beam 2 give me?I have two rear Sonos ones for surround in my setup, as well. If that makes any difference. Thanks for any advice!
Hi everyone. I have two Sons Play:1 speakers and a Sonos Beam. I want to connect these to my Samsung Smart TV and use them as a surround sound system. I have been able to set them up as surrounds on the Sonos app but can only get the Beam to connect to the TV. Is it possible to get all three of my Sonos speakers to connect to my Samsung TV?
I pay for Soundtrack Your Brand and when I complained to them about how their Scheduling service doesn’t work with Sonos, and I have to use Sonos Alarms instead, I was told that they have problems with features on Sonos because Sonos doesn't support volume normalization for playlists. Sonos Alarms are not ideal, as they immediately cut off any song that is playing and then slowly start the new station listed per the alarm with the sound slowly moving to the designated volume. This is pretty jarring in the middle of service. The Alarms are made necessary because Sonos doesn't allow Soundtrack to play without using the Shuffle option, and when shuffling Soundtrack itself uses an algorithm for the shuffle so you end up hearing the same song multiple times, not matter how long the playlist is. It feels like all the features of Soundtrack are being limited because Sonos has its own commercial music competitor now, which is a real shame.
When I move my speaker from 1 room to another, unplugging and plugging back in, it disappears from my system, I then reconnect it by holding the connect button whilst I plug in. I follow the connection instruction and all works until I move it again. is there anything I can do to stop this from happening every time I move the speaker??
I have a small room with a wall mounted, head level Beam 2 and 2 x Play:1s on floor stands at head level on each side of the sofa, slightly behind my sitting position. The Play:1s add a lot of bass in sa mall room, I tried a Sub Mini but the room size doesn’t need it.I've ordered a pair of Era 100s using the 30% upgrade code and thinking of keeping the Play 1s purely as surround speakers and using the Eras as a stereo pair, facing the sofa, just for music playback.I've been listening to music using the Play 1s and Beam but thinking it's probably not the best way to hear music, with the ones behind me.Am I right in thinking that a dedicated speaker group pair of Era 100s facing me is the best approach?
Can I connect Sonos Era 300 and Sub Mini on Apple TV 4K?
Ok so I have the Arc, the Sub, the Amp and two in ceiling speakers and I use Apple TV for my streaming video and music. I have just added 2 speakers (pre wired) in the ceiling of my patio. What is the best way to stream music to my patio speakers? I’d like to have a separate music tuner from my tv so I can still watch TV while playing music on the patio. I’d like to keep everything Sonos if that’s an option. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA, Todd-Orlando,Fl
