I need to cut and re-splice my Sonos power cord to correctly mount my speakers. If the power cord is like any other cord -- say for a lamp or appliance -- this shouldn’t be a problem. But is there something unique about the Sonos cord that would make this operation a bad idea?
Hello, the Era 300s have arrived. I put the Era 100s in double Stereo in another room and as before connected in surround. I was amazed by a first test without trueplay of how they go. Audio track right for example everywhere by Flettewood Mac in Atmos is something incredible. A nice leap compared to the Era 100s. Then configured in stereo and to tell the truth they disappointed me. Lower sound less undivided. Re-set in surround with the beam 2 and the mini sub. Indeed the mini sub has gained strength with the Era 300s. Satisfied at the time of purchase.Remain the mistake Sorround vero best vs Stereo.Andrea.

How do I know if my 2024 Sonos products are eligible for the extended 1 year warranty?
I have a Play:1 below in the Kitchen where I can listen to the news, which is coming from the Roku Ultra to the Beam. I had the Play 1 on wifi - it is setting near the Orbis extender. It drops out now and then for a few seconds while the Beam continues to play. (I’m close enought to hear that Beam is still working.)The Orbis extender is connect via wifi to the router.I’m testing connecting the Play 1 to the extender with an ethernet cable. Is that going to cause issues? I have a Sonos Gen 1 system with the S1 controller. I want to add a subwoofer.or two. Can I add 2 subwoofers or more? Does the subwoofer need to be Gen 2 or Gen 1?
After a factory reset of 4 speakers, an update, and connection successful I get an error message " Unable to connect Try again later” for those 4 speakers but speakers I did not do a factory reset or software update are playing. I cannot add the other 4 speakers
I see there's a new CEO, but after once again getting the "No products found" screen even WHILE music is streaming on my Sonos Five through the mobile app, I'm giving up. I'm going to give the Sonos Five to my teenaged son to connect to his turntable, and I'm going to stream music through my Roku Streambar. That's right, I'm going to listen through a Roku device rather than the $500+ Sonos Five, because I cannot stand reconnecting my phone and the Five several times a week. The Sonos Ace look amazing, and I'm sure I'd potentially get a lot of use out of them on the commuter train I take to/from work, but there's no way I'm going to chance not being able to connect to the headphones. Life's too short for "no products found."
Hi, Can anyone help with authentication of a 2nd hand product please? Thanks
Hi, I have 2 Sonos speakers and a sound bar. Just had a new Internet provider and have managed to install one of the speakers to the internet. However can’t see from the App how to reinstall the other two as a Group. I’m sure it’s straightforward if you know!Cheers Roger
I have a Sonos Beam in my lounge, and a Play:3 in my kitchen. The two rooms are remote from the router (and there are thick walls between them all, so I have cabled into the two rooms from the router, and fed both cables into switches. From the switches I have then cabled into a TV and a Sky Q box in each room, and also cabled into the Sonos Products in each room. They are therefore all on the same SSID by hard wire.To allow me to have wifi in the lounge and kitchen, I have a TPlink access point in each room, which have been”cloned” with the same SSID.I have no problem walking between the three rooms with my I-phone, and wifi is automatically picked up in each room, with only one network showing available in each room (same SSID)However, when I run the Sonos app, and move from room to room, the total system is not shown; only each product in that room. I spent a long time on the phone with support, deleting and setting up a whole new system, but it doesn't seem to have cured the problem.
I received a dused Zoneplayer S5 and can’t get it to work. I got the S1 app but the player is not seen by the app. The power seems to be intermittent, the light comes on and then disappears. Should I try to reset it? But how?
I am looking into buying the Era 300 to put on my book shelf and in the past I received complaints about the bass vibrating to much for neighbors.I was wondering if I can flip it upside down and use the mounting holes on the bottom to hang the speaker from the bottom of the shelf using a cord to avoid the vibration on the counter. Will it sound the same if I flip it upside down?
After todays iOS update suddenly one of my SONOS Play 1 are unable to update. I tried multiple times, same error. Disconnecting my entire SONOS system and resetting my home network, that didn’t help. tried to downgrade the speaker to S1, but also here an error occurred. Troels hardwiring it to the router, same issue. Any good advice? I’m starting to think there is something wrong with the speaker, but I’m 99% sure it worked this morning before I updated the App. I know for a fact it worked last night.
I’m a college student living in a one-room dorm right now. I had one Sonos Play 1 and decided to get two more Sonos Play 1s because I was trying to get my room much louder for having people over. When I added the two more Play 1s into my system, it did not get much louder. I will admit that the surround sound is incredible but that’s not what I was going for. What can I do to increase the loudness and bass? I was thinking of buying two Sonos Play 5s along with an old sub. I don’t know the best way to get a loud party setup though.
I inherited a SONOS sound system when I bought my house. All was working until I swapped Internet Provider. I downloaded the latest Sonos app from Apple Store but cannot connect multiple speakers wirelessly. Would my Play 1 model speakers be incompatible with the app? I have been able to connect one speaker via an ethernet cable,
Hello, if there is a thread that would help feel free to just direct me there..unless you want to read on and specifically hear about what I am hoping to do ☺️.We recently bought an LG 27LQ600S-W for our kitchen and the sound is UNBEARABLY bad. So...I thought I would get either a SONOS One or Era 100 to send the audio to via BT. I was unsure if the BT connection would remain after turning the TV off. Good news is that it does but asks via a dialog if you want to connect to the Era when you power the TV back on. I would LOVE to have a direct “hardwire” connection to remove this extra step. TO BE 100% TRANSPARENT...I am trying to remove this extra step for my wife who doesn’t CARE about tech like I do and any extra step is ONE TOO MANY.So, I am wondering what the best way to “hardwire” the Era 100 to my TV’s TOSLINK or HDMI Arc output is.Would an HDMI to USB-C cable (https://www.amazon.com/Satechi-Aluminum-Type-C-HDMI-Cable/dp/B06XS788CK/ref=asc_df_B06XS788CK?mcid=a3f7709fc5ba3a5796a8f6
I acquired a great pair of Sonos Play: 3 speakers with the Bridge when my office decided to eliminate them from our network setup. I have them playing in my bedroom on the house network and can access them with both S1/S2 apps and with the Spotify app itself, as well as controlling the volume seamlessly using Google Assistant (volume to xx%). I would like to be able to run my computer gaming sounds through them, and movies from my smart TV as well without having to add additional hardware to my network. Will I need to run it all through the Bridge unit, or can I keep them connected wirelessly? Or is that not going to work at all?
Dear Team,I hope you are doing well. I want to purchase some products in bulk. Can you give us discount on them? Waiting for your reply,Best regsrds,Jack
recently moved into a new home and have been struggling to connect two Play:1 Sonos speakers to a Google Mesh network, which I do not have administrative access to. Initially, I tried using the Sonos S2 app, but I couldn’t connect the speakers, even when directly hardwired to the network. After numerous failed attempts, I downgraded both speakers to the S1 system, which allowed me to connect each speaker individually to the network. However, I’ve encountered a persistent problem: I cannot get both speakers on the same Sonos system. When one speaker is set up, any attempt to “Add” the second speaker fails and forces me to reset it. The only consistent method to add the second speaker is by using the “search for missing device” option after resetting it, but after successfully add the system, Sonos prompts me to log in to configure the speaker. This process always results in the creation of a separate Sonos system for the second speaker. As a result, both speakers are connected to the s
I put a lot of info in my question.
Many thanks for any help. Era 100 which has been functioning well has suddenly started with an error which I can’t find described in the help pages. The speaker actually still works, but whenever it is plugged in has random runs of rapid chimes/noises associated with rapid flashing green and orange (and sometimes red) lights. There is no pattern to when the runs happen but it is every couple of minutes at most. There is no pattern to the length of the runs of chimes/lights and this varies quite wildly. The flashes and sounds are rapid, several per second. Have had to unplug the speaker rather than listen to it 24/7! It has not responded to resetting the router, several power cycles including one lasting a couple of days, a full factory reset and update of the speaker, and the advice on how to bring a device out of diagnostic mode. Has anyone had a similar error or come across this error described anywhere?
I have handed over my 10 year old Beam and two play 1 speakers to my son in law but when he got it home and plugged it in it did not display on his freshly downloaded app. Is there some thing I should have doen before handing it over as the items in question no longer appear on my app, just my new ones bought last week
I am getting this error when I try to play. I am constantly plagued by “Sonos-issues” and reading the various forums, I understand that is what is to expect from Sonos. This is a new one and all troubleshooting is in vain. Is it already bricked?
