The One is not a Bluetooth device so the music is shared via wifi. Is there a delay or data compression setting on the Roam? Try a longer delay or greater compression level.
Hi nik9669a
I realise the ones aren't bluetooth.
I've looked into settings on roam and there's no option to delay or compress or anything similar.
If I try the same on my era 100 there aren't any issues. (Playing bluetooth on roam to era over wifi.)
Beginning to think the ones aren't fully compatible.
Thanks

They should work, AIUI. Maybe a call to Sonos support is in order?
Thanks
I've been in touch with sales (in case it was a well known problem)
They've provided me support details.
Thanks again
Hello nik 9669a
Interesting one here?
I haven't been in touch with tech yet, but I've found if I switch my wifi extender off it works perfectly ? Bluetoothing from roam to ones.
I don't understand how the extender interferes with bluetooth mode but doesn't when I'm on wifi with ones or roam or all together.
Had the extender for years ( use mainly for other items ) and its never caused a problem with sonos until I recently tried streaming bluetooth..
Might be a well known problem ????
I'll still try tech for workaround as I need extender for other things
???
Hi @Barnsy
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
Sorry to hear of this issue you are having sharing your Bluetooth connection to other speakers.
As I read your description of the issue, I thought “this sounds like they have multiple wireless Access Points”. So, I was not surprised to scroll down and see your mention of a WiFi Extender.
You have basically just discovered why we don’t support Extenders - they are half-duplex, so half your available bandwidth, and they often block the very types of network packets that Sonos device use to share audio. The problem will arise when the Roam is connected to one wireless Access Point, and the other speakers are connected to another. It may or may not make any difference which way round they are.
If your router is not located in the centre of your home, moving it (ethernet cables are nice and cheap, even when long) may mean you no longer need the extender at all, but if it’s not as easy as that, then we’d recommend you use a “mesh” WiFi system rather than a extender - they are just better (which is why they are a little more expensive). Many are available.
I hope this helps.
Thanks Corry P
I agree with everything you've said without fully getting into the tech reasons
My sonos speakers are having a new lease of life with bluetooth
got tons of music on memory card, left any new investments until the recent app glitsch troubles sorted (which they mainly have with me)
Extender now switched off
Thanks again
The extender gives you trouble because you are not bluetoothing to the One. The Roam translates the Bluetooth signal it receives to a WiFi signal it shares with the One.
