I own 2 Sonos Fives placed beneath my TV on either side of my record player and 3 Sonos One SL's placed in other nearby areas. I was previously running a 3.5mm audio cord from my TV to my Sonos Five and switching between TV and record player in the app. I recently upgraded my TV to a 4k tv that supports Dolby Atmos and does not have a 3.5mm output (only HDMI)
I’m wondering if there is a way I can keep my current speaker system to both listen to music and watch movies or do I need to purchase a sound bar? I have looked at the Amp but that seems to be for someone with existing speakers that are not Sonos brand. Any help is appreciated - thanks!

If you want the full ATMOS experience you’ll need an ARC ULTRA and ERA 300’s. You can still use the FIVE’s for the turntable, but I don’t recommend attempting to use a pair of FIVE’s in the same room to play along with TV programs. Playing music with FIVE’s and ARC is OK. Also note that you can use the FIVE’s as surrounds, but this would not be ATMOS and Line-In is disabled when a speaker is used as a surround.

Thanks for the response. It does seem like my $ would be better spent on an ARC soundbar rather than an Amp. I have limited space so I’m also considering swapping my 5’s for 300’s.

That would leave you open to the question how you would connect your system to the record player. Maybe an extra Era 100 with Sonos adapter?
