Hi allI was wondering if any other users have experienced issues since the new Play:1\Play:3 firmware was introduced?I was recently able to access my music and update the libraries without problem. Since updating the firmware on my 2xPlay:1 and Play:3 system, I have been unable to update my music library which is held on a very old NAS drive (WD My Book Live). Nothing has changed in terms of the NAS drive settings, and it is so old that there has not been a firmware update for several years. The only thing that has changed is the firmware update to the Sonos speakers. From a cause and effect perspective, the only change has been the Sonos firmware (SoftwareVersion 67.1-27100, SoftwareDate 2022-03-10 17:01:21.399337).The drive is viewable as normal via Windows Explorer and iTunes. Sonos support suggested it is an SMB issue, but it wouldn’t follow as it has worked before this firmware update. They have asked me to contract Western Digital to see if there is any way to change the SMB se
Hi, my play 5 gen2, keeps loosing its connection. I can´t reconnect to it without resetting it (power off).I have tryed turning off automatic update, as i thought it might crash/dump the connection somehow. I use the app, to set it up, but often it cant find the play5, even after “power off”, io have to retry the setup process several times. When reconnected, it keeps up the connection for 1-3 months, then it looses connection again. It´s placed under the seeling, 2,7m above the floor. Any tips?
Hello All,New to Sonos and the community.I purchased two Sonos 5 Speakers. I have them setup (via wireless) with the app and was able to successfully put them into a “Stereo Pair”. This works perfectly when playing Spotify, Pandora, etc. The issue I am having is with the Line-In from my Turntable. I have the new AT-LP120XBT-USB and have it connected directly to the Line-In of the Left Sonos 5. I only ever get sound out of that speaker. If I move the Line-In to the right speaker - I don’t ever get sound out of the right speaker. Is this by design?I also notice in the app, that it does correctly show the Line-In connected to the respective speaker, but for the life of me, I can’t get it to play in stereo which is very disappointing. Can anyone offer any assistance? Thanks!
Dear Community,I have two Sonos 5 connected via Airplay to my Apple TV 4k. Initially everything worked. But now I noticed a very annoying Problem.Everytime I stream music via Apple Music or Spotify and stop it for some time (a few minutes or after Apple TV goes to sleep) and then press play again there is no music coming from the speakers. It seems like the Airplay connection goes to sleep and won’t wake up again. I have to reconnect the speakers.is this Problem known? And is there any solution for it?
I recently added a Beam 2 to my system and ever since my Play 5 disappeared from my system. My system consistes of S2 App1 - Beam (Gen 2)2 - Play:11 - Sonos 1 w/Alexa1 - Play 5 (Gen1) Following is what I’ve tried so far:Factory reset the Play 5 and go through the setup process again on wireless Factory reset the Play 5 and go through the setup process again hard wired Reset Wireless AP’s, Switch, Firewall, Modem Powered down ALL Sonos devices; Then factory reset the Play 5 and go through the setup process again hard wired. Powered down ALL Sonos devices except Beam which is hard wired; Then factory reset the Play 5 and go through the setup process again hard wired. Powered down ALL Wireless devices including ALL Sonos; Flushed ALL DHCP leases and rebooted the Wireless AP’s, then Factory reset the Play 5 and go through the setup process again hard wired. This one took me about 90 min. :-(None of this has resulted in the Play 5 showing up in the app. I’ve confirmed the Play 5 is defia
After a Eero Pro firmware update my machine won’t connect. I’ve tried everything including full reset, and hardwire set up - it won’t find and connect my WiFi network. The setup reaches the very last step (connect to my network) and errors out and says no connection is possible. This is driving me NUTS
I have dropped a play 5 and it is rattling. I have removed the front grille and the 8 screws but it won’t come apart. How do I get it apart? Thanks
Surround sound speakers, both play 1s, one of which does not stay connected. Same distance from beam. Left side goes in and out of connection. What gives? Wear and tear of product? Tried everything, talked to customer service, diagnostic reports. Nothing worth noting. Sonos app displays “?” for LS. Any suggestions/ guidance? Ty

Dear community members I’m new to this forum, please excuse me if I posted this in the wrong place. I’m using a Play 3 on a Windows desktop with a S1 Controller. My question is: .Can a Sonos Play 3 with a S1 controller play FLAC and album-files? If you need any additional information, let me know and I’ll try to provide it. Yours sincerely
A few months ago, I was able to purchase a (new to me) Play 1 for rather cheap off of Craigslist. I paired it with an existing Play 1 in my kitchen and thought all was well. After a few weeks of use, I've noticed that trying to play music across my entire house (Spotify and Plex audio only) is now rather slow to initially connect and I have sporadic dropouts of individual speakers. Even if I reduce the playback to a few rooms, I still notice individual speaker drops but to a slightly lesser degree I have multiple Sonos devices in 4 rooms in the house and a Sonos Boost as well. The Boost is on a LAN connection while all other device are on Wi-Fi. In all other rooms I have newer Sonos devices (Beam, Sub, Sonos Ones, etc.). Is it possible that the Play 1s are now too underpowered to be part of "whole house" playback and may be impeding overall performance?A few supporting notes / topics:I am on a mesh network but given that this configuration has been working without issues for many month
How do I know if my 2016 sonos play 1 is gen 1 or gen 2
Hello, my wifi setup of two Play 1 and one Play5 gen:1 has been working fine until recently. My Play 5 is not detected anymore. I've read a lot about similar issues and unseccessfully tried to troubleshoot (restart, ethernet connections). Note that I'm stil using the S1 app because I am limited by my devices (none of them support S2). Therefore I cannot add a new Sonos element from scratch. If anyone faced similar issue or has any thoughts, I'd be grateful. Thanks!
I upgraded two Series 5 speakers, that were both suitable for Sonos App 2.0. Thinking I now have 4 speakers that can all work on the new operating system. However, the two older series 5 speakers cannot be added to the same network anymore? Tried factory resets (after which they are visible to the app, but warning appears: 'they may not show up in your system, just unplug and plug back in', but never actually show up in my system. Sonos upgrade program states you can continue to use the upgraded speakers, but can they be used in the same network as the new speakers? I have not be able to add them to the system… What am I doing wrong?
My Sonos is working perfectly with other speakers, but one speaker is not working. It is plugged in and shows when pressing the on off button flashes red. In the system itself it shows I have all speakers working and also it shows music sound is going to that speak.
Please help me restore sanity and a working system oh wise ones!I’ve been using this set up for 3 years and @ratty and @John B double checked my thinking, and set up, which was correct and not complicated.Draytek 2760n router, Google hub, Sonos bridge into hub and various S1 speakers dotted about. It’s worked like a dream until now.All that’s changed is I’ve switched to VM and have a Hub 4 in modem mode, into the Draytek and Google hub / bridge connected as before. I did have to disconnect everything but it’s all gone back exactly as was. The Google hub says the bridge is wired, but the Sonos app keeps dropping, and when it does connect it seems to be on WiFi as the ability to change channels is greyed out, indicating SonosNet isn’t in operation. If I cycle the bridge power it seems to reconnect but only temporarily.I don’t know what I’ve done but I’ve broken it somehow and don’t know how to fix it. It’s been a struggle to get the Draytek and VM hub to talk but that’s sorted (albeit
My system has stopped connecting to AirPlay. It worked perfectly for years but then stopped sometime around the end of 2021. I’ve tried various resets and other methods mentioned in this forum but nothing has helped. I can see my Sonos products listed in the airplay options. I’d appreciate any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to correct it.My system:2 Play 5s (airplay compatable) 2 Play 3s (not airplay compatable but grouped with the 5s) One Play 5 is wired to the network, the rest are on wifi I’ve already tried:Rebooting router after waiting 30 seconds Reconfiguring network settings via sonos app Rebooting Sonos products Ensured Sonos products are showing up correctly in the home app
HelloI've set up my two play:5 gen2 in a stereo pair with line-in to my TV. I've had this setup for several years without issues. I later added a sub for niceness. Since I moved into my new two-story house I've experienced drop outs from the speaker that does not have the line-in cable (Left), at an increasing rate. It's now at the point where the left speaker is more off than on.At one point in time I lost connection to both speakers and wired the speaker with the line-in cable (Right), which got the connection back, but the drop outs kept appearing. In the network matrix I notice that the Right speaker does not contain the left one, but the left one does include the right. I have two more speakers, but I've disconnected these when I tried to identify if they caused an issue. It didn't change anything to power off all other speakers than the stereo group. I'm my network at home is set up by my isp with two mesh "boxes". One on each floor. I've had to wire my speaker to the top one, even

After I updated my Sonos Play 5 at Xmas the sound quality has significantly deteriorated, in particular the vocals are suppressed. This seems to be a common issue. Can anybody advise me how to resolve this please
I have 4 speakers in separate rooms. All four show that they are playing, but there is no sound. The speakers are all checked as playing and volume is on/turned up, no sound. No sound bars or extra added units. They are all play 1 speakers.
Could some from Sonos Support please tell what the solution was to the problem mentioned here? I have exactly the same problem and the only solution is to pull the plug on the Sonos 5 and restart it. There has to be a better way.
I live in rented accomodation with housemates. I recently purchased a Sonos Roam and tried to set it up before realising that one of my housemates has their own system on the wifi already, which blocks me from setting up my own system. He is currently away so I can’t access his speaker. I don’t want my housemate to have to share their account details with me for obvious reasons, so is there another solution here? How have other people living with housemates dealt with this?
Good Afternoon,I have a fairly good turntable going into a Sonos Five which is paired with another for stereo. Mounted on the wall above each five is a Sonos One, again is stereo. When I listen to the turntable I run it through all 4 speakers so I have a Five & One for the left channel and exactly the same positioning for the right.I recently ‘tuned’ the stereo fives as per the recommendation of the App and now I have lost all my bottom end. I have done this a few times with the same result. If I temporarily turn off the tuning in the app my bass response comes back in, and yet drops when I flick it back.Just wondering if anyone has any experience, ideas or thoughts that may guide me. I have considered a sub on the floor in the middle so I can position myself in the room to get the best I can out of the stereo fives, ones and a sub - again - if anyone has any thoughts on my comments I would value it.Thanks everyone - Robin
