I have had issues for as long as can remember with music, specifically Spotify, cutting out when switching songs or starting music. The sound would come on one speaker and take around 20 seconds to reach all of my other speakers. Very annoying. Well, I wired a single Sonos One directly to my router and turned the wifi off on that speaker. That solved the entire issue. No music ever cuts out or lags now. I think the key was turning off the WiFi on that speaker because I’ve had speakers wired before but always had that issue. Hope this helps anyone else out there with a similar issue.
5 play ones all show in system, none connect to sonos1 anymore, on any device and 2 phones. Immediately goes to play store for update app. Can not get them to connect to Sonos s1 and can not find s2 help. I have 5 expensive bricks right now. Not happy. Was on phone with Sonos tech about an hour yesterday. They told me a new Sonos 1 app will be out in a few days, the one on my phone was released in July of this year. I just want them connected.
I'm a long time owner of Playbar and two play one speakers. They have been a very good surround system. I finally decided to complete the system with a base sub. Wanting the best hardware I bought the newest version, the sub 4.I set it up with the app and found out it was not compatible with my old hardware. All these products are connected via Wi-Fi and Sonos has decided that they don't want us to use the sub 4 with my old hardware. I'm sure this is a way to get us to buy new hardware where it is not needed. Backward compatibility is a good business model for the uses. They have decided they don't care about that, they want more money. DON'T BUY SONOS.Yes, I contacted tech support, their answer is send the sub 4 back and get the older sub.
Unable to reconnect Sonos. Only if Ethernet cable is used. Otherwise app doesn't find device.
My Sub Gen 2 wont turn on, no lights, nothing. I’d like to replace it but it doesnt seem the Gen 4 is compatible with the rest of my system (Playbar and 2 Play 1s for theatre, Play 3 for living room, and other play 1s around the house)Is there a solution or am I best just getting out of the ecosystem now, as it’ll cost me a whole new theatre setup?
unable finishing Trueplay procedure with 2 Play 5 Gen 2 in a large room
Can you still use Trueplay, for room Acoustics on a playbar please, keeps coming up not compatible, I have lates app, iPad up to date etc
I have external speakers by Sonos and Sonance connected to a Bluesound Powernode 2i. The first set of speakers blew after 2 years and this set have lasted 1 year and the bass has gone but they still both work with a tinny sound
All music in all streaming apps that includes apple music, amazon music , Spotify, work fine on my old sonos play 1's in its own sonos room. However, my new arc ultra, 2 era 300's, and sub 4, all using wireless connectivity to the router drop songs in all streaming apps intermittenly and consistently (Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify). My new Hisense 65 inch TV audio which is also connected via wifi works absolutely fine via Surround, HD, UHD, and Atmos fornats. Should I hard wire my arc ultra to my router and try? From AI OverviewYes, you should absolutely hardwire your Arc, Era 300s, and Sub to your router to improve their wireless performance and resolve intermittent music drops. Your old Sonos Play:1s likely work fine because they aren't part of the same wireless network as your newer devices, which may be experiencing interference or a weak connection. Wiring the new components will provide a more stable and reliable network connection, which is often the solution to this type o
Since the Sonos ecosystem has (or should I say had - read on...), for me, calmed down a lot recently I took the plunge to replace some of my older speakers with new. This ended up as a full Ultra/Era300/Sub4 surround setup and and Era100 pair. However on successfully introducing these to my system, which went very smoothly, I can not access my local music (NAS sourced) on any of the new speakers. All pre-existing speakers are fine. I have tried:Resetting a few of the new speakers and re-introducing Creating a new music folder in an existing share Creating a new music share Re-adding a removed & reset Play:1 to my system Splitting the surround system into component speakers Multiple reboots of speakers and all network componentsThe speakers have all had last weeks firmware update and this did not address the problem. All speakers are on the same (unchanged) network. All are in the same positions the speakers they are replacing were and now some, for testing, are next to pre-existin
Is it possible to have 2 systems in two different rooms each with a Sonos Sub Mini working autonomously
Hi all,I'm Kamal Hinduja, based in Geneva, Switzerland(Swiss) . can anyone explain how to fix Switching speakers disrupts TV playback? Thanks, RegardsKamal Hinduja Geneva, Switzerland
Following a network change in my house, my entire Sonos system disconnected, and it is impossible for me to reconnect it.I tried everything, delete the system, recreate a new one, disconnect and even return to the old network but impossible. Each time, the application can no longer detect my system or at least connect. Because I have a message telling me that it has found a system on this network, but as soon as I click to connect the application tells me that it is connected to the system, but it never appears in the application. As if it had never happened?Could you help me please
Recently my Sonos system started having major issues (suspect from an EERO update) where the speakers were slow to start, then would cut out and music volume would go up and down. EERO says to connect all wireless which was my setup, but I went ahead and turned on SonosNet, and all issues stopped. So I’m not setup opposite contrary to EERO recommendations. Does anyone have insight into this? I tried questioning on the EERO site and only get the recommendation to turn off SonosNet.
I have a Play:1 small Sonos speaker which I listen to constantly with the radio on.Several times a day at the moment, it goes suddenly silent and when I go into the Sonos app on my phone, it says Sonos cannot connect to the speaker. Typically aftrer a few seconds or minutes, it reappears in the app and I can press Play to get it to start playing again. This speaker is unusual on my network because it’s a newer bluetooth-enabled one. My other Sonos speakers are older (10+ years, I think). It’s extremely annoying that it keeps disconnecting. How can I troubleshoot this problem? I’m no kind of wifi or router expert so I’ll need things explained in simple language please. My WiFi system is an Aginet TP-Link mesh router that I can see via an Aginet app on my phone. In this app I can see the speaker listed, but it keeps appearing and disappearing. It actually disappears in the app far more often than it goes silent. For instance just now it was happily playing the radio, but it wasn’t listed in
I have a Cambridge Audio AX C25 which I have connected to an Era 100. I am connecting via an official Sonos line-in converter and a brand new rca cable. When I play a brand new disc, the sound is all distorted. i have also tried using a passive volume control and also a preamp but the distortion remains. Also I have adjusted the line-in levels and this makes no difference. Im out of ideas on what to try next.
Hi everyone,I needed to change my network router as we have a new TP Link Deco mesh system. This required me to set up my Sonos network again.I set up my Playbar, Play 1 and Synfonisk speaker on the same Sonos system using the S1 app.So far so good.I then wanted to set up my Roam speaker. So I used the new Sonos app for this, and set up a new system as the S1 isn’t compatible with this speaker.I then (foolishly) decided that I wanted to add my Play 1 speaker to the same system as the Roam, as the Play 1 is compatible with the S1 and new Sonos apps. So I went through the upgrade process for the Play 1 and added it to the system associated with the new Sonos app. Then I realised this actually wasn’t what I really wanted after all.I therefore followed the ‘downgrade’ process in the new Sonos app, and downgraded the Play 1 to be compatible with the S1 app again. However, I can’t now add it into the S1 app as I keep getting the same ‘Sonos app needs updating’ message that other people have men
Not sure about others, but this mass “upgrade” did a doosey on my system. Beam randomly stopped working, so I investigated and ended up updating most of my devices and the app. Some of it had to be done twice and the Beam would not show up at all. I power cycled and updated again. Then I got Beam system showing up multiple times but marked disconnected. After a while it seemed to solve itself. now the system operates again (this took about 30 minutes- and I’ve not tried the TV, which is another story...). Now, when I use the system the beam system volume often does not show up if I stream locally, The slow start to restoring the previous local NAS streaming shuffle is broken and only plays one song. Also, you now have to go down and additional level to do so- and yes, when I try some functions, I get “something went wrong. Try again.”. Are others experiencing similar problems?
Where do I start if I moved into a house that has everything left from the previous owner?
I’m trying to reconnect (2) Play Five speakers 1st gen
Good morning everyone, Yesterday afternoon I was listening to music with my SymfoniskSuddenly one of the two speakers disconnected from Wi-Fi and stayed with the red light on without resuming connection. After about an hour the light was still red and I unplugged it to restart it. Once I plugged it back in, the Symfonisk did nothing. No status LEDs and no signs of life The case does nothing. I tried changing outlets and changing cables but nothing changed. What can I do? It seems strange to me that it died just like that out of nowhere
I have similar issues with my Play:3s dropping out that have been discussed numerous times here. I only have two Play:3s and put these in a tight location above the kitchen cabinets (play:1s wont fit). I've read countless trails on network interference, IP addresses, memory issues, and so on.…. I have a significantly large sonos array upstairs (18 individual components in various rooms) and regularly link all these together. My Play:3s predictably drop in and out of the music stream. I would usually start streaming music through the living room TV (arc ultra + Sub + Era 300 surrounds), then add additional rooms/components to join that living room group. This is when I hear the Play:3s dropping in and out.Today I started streaming straight into the kitchen (Play:3s). By themselves with no other components in the group there is no skipping or dropping in and out as seen before when starting in the living room. I then added the new living room TV components and things fell apart wi
Hi, is anyone else having problems running Trueplay with a Sonos Arc Ultra together with a Sub (Gen 4)? When I run the Arc Ultra on its own, there’s no problem at all. But when I run them together, nothing works. I just get the message that there’s too much background noise — but the room is completely silent. (I’ve tested with several different devices.) Sometimes I get past that, but then it says “Trueplay can’t start”. Does anyone have a solution, or is this an issue with the latest version of the app?
I've followed posts here, there was no solution. And no support from Sonos.I've found out that it happens when streaming from Spotify or another service. However If you play via Sonos app S1, downloaded songs that are on your device, it does not happen, and the intermittent one speaker cut out, is not happening at all What does this mean?Service streaming issues?Any thoughts appreciated 👍
I got a new era 100 to add to my system. Cannot seem to group together my current Play 1 and new era 100. I can group my five Gen 2 with the era 100, but it does not want to group with the Play 1.My Play 1 and five group fine.
