Hi everyone, I just wanted to be completely sure about this, otherwise I will likely return my speakers. I have 2 era 100's and a Beam Gen 2 in a bedroom. I bought these speakers so I could group them together and play the same audio from my TV through all speakers. I don't want to use them as surround sound. The era 100s have been cutting in and out when using the TV, but not if I play music through my phone via the Sonos app. The nice gentleman in Sonos chat said I'm unable to group with TV audio. Something about the beam having to sync and relay tv audio to the era's causes the drop outs. Is this correct? I've seen others here say they put speakers in separate rooms that play TV audio, so I'm just a bit confused. Thanks!

Unless something changed with recent updates they should Group without problems. For Streaming they will be in sync with all Grouped Sonos, for TV grouping all rooms will have a 75 millisecond delay from the home-theater Room.

I have zero faith in the Sonos chat, your response from it just adds to that opinion.

Group them, play TV audio until you get a drop, submit a diagnostic and note the number (don't post it here) and CALL Sonos support to have it looked at?

One thing that has impacted me is having devices too close together, under 3 feet, which can confuse the radios.

Thank you, yes it appears they were knowledgeable over the phone. All it needed was to change my audio output to Stereo on my TV. It was set to "auto", which was causing the drop outs. I appreciate your help!
