I had a look at the thread you linked and what was raised there has since been resolved. If all of your speakers are Airplay compatible, then they should not ungroup when you Airplay to them. If you have any non-compatible Airplay speakers, you’ll need to enable ‘Group Non-AirPlay Products’ in the Sonos app under the Settings icon → General Settings → Airplay.
I asked some colleagues to check, and they were able to confirm that groups shouldn’t split, as well as groups with non-compatible Airplay speakers with the above setting enabled.
If you are having grouping issues with that setting enabled, make sure you’re on the latest version of the Sonos app and that your speakers are fully updated. Otherwise, I’d suggest following the steps I listed above and contact support.
