Recently got the Arc Ultra with 2 Era 300s for surrounds and a Sub Mini and just couldn't get the sound right, it was just off no matter how much I fiddled around.
Not so much an issue for TV where there's hardly any Atmos stuff on offer anyway really, but a major issue for music as I listen to heaps of Atmos music via the Apple Music app.
So I ran a Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 calibration track and wow, both the height and surround levels were *way* too loud with the volume sliders set to zero in the app. Like, quite ridiculously so. Sound from the height speakers was 2-3 times as loud as from the front with Height Volume set to zero.
When I turned the sliders all the way to the *minimum* possible (minus 10 for height, minus 15 for surround) everything became much more balanced although the front surrounds are still a bit too loud.
Listening to Atmos source material sounded so much better after that.
Is this a known issue or is my Arc Ultra faulty? Wondering if I need to contact CS.
