Thanks in advance for any help here. I’ve never had a problem setting up any Sonos products before but for some reason, when I try and set up 4 in my house (there are no others) it will only connect to one of them, and on all the others I get the message saying “Sonos has been added but may not appear in the systems tab”. I’ve reset the router 3 times and all the Sonos products multiple times too but the problem persists. Any ideas please? Thanks again!
Soooo.... I just placed my order for two Era 300's, and although I was aware of the lack of an Ethernet port on the speakers, I'm a little peeved that Sonos didn't include an adapter with the speakers - and that they are asking $40/ea for them. Yes, I should probably have expected this from Sonos, but it annoys me just the same. Now I have to shell out another $80+ for the ability to hardwire the speakers. We all pay a premium for Sonos hardware, and I'm not complaining about that - throw in the dang adapter guys, or let us buy it at cost.Grrr....
I have a iPhone 8 and my husband has an iPod. We both want to play music from our devices on the Sonos One can we do this?it seems that we have a subscription to a service (Spotify etc) which we don’t want..so my q is can we play from our device or not?( have to say I thought this would be easy and simple via Bluetooth but maybe not).many thanks
I have a Sonos system with speakers and a Roamer and would like to take the Roamer and a speaker to my caravan which is on a permanent site. Is this possible? I’m not very technical
Every time I add to my Sonos system other speakers disappear. It’s so time consuming and frustrating to have to reset several speakers just because I spent more money with Sonos. You all should be paying me since I have to spend time reconnecting everything just to add more! It’s NOT the network!
I have 6 devices set up. One bar, two Ones and three play:3Bar is hard wired in.Once a week or so, atleast one of the :3s and the Ones will disappear. I can find them in missing products. I solved for wireless interference. Wi-Fi on channel 7 and Sonos on 11. Worked for a few days.I’ve done system reboots on individual devices and all the system updates. What else can I try?
Ever since I got an upgraded router via BT a few weeks ago I have to delete the Sonos app and then reinstall it to find my 3 speakers. It’s driving me nuts. Does anyone please have a solution. Thank you
I know this has been covered before but it is still a problem, though it is hit and miss. I have a couple of very large playlists in Apple. Sometimes they will load and other times no luck. Have never had a problem with smaller (less than 500 songs) playlist. This really should not be a problem for Sonos.
How can one turn the media server my SONOS Beams apparently has? It’s turned off in SONOS settings. Thoughts? Thanks!
I can connect to the Wifi, both sonos 1 and 3, however, next time I want to play music, the app tells me, that the phone is not on the same Wifi.(When I just tried to look for the error message, the system is connected) In other words - sometimes there is a connection, sometimes there is not, and I have to reconnect using the reconnect to new Wifi procedure. But if I wait for a couple of days, the connection is just back.Whats the issue here….something with changing IPs?I have no issues connecting any other device to the Wifi
I bought a Play 5 with serious big expectations of audio premium quality. But what I have begun to notice that the songs played on Play 5 actually have a sort of audio distortion that causes ear fatigue. It feels better to turn off the music. In fact a low end JBL speaker produces a sweeter sound. The songs played on Sonos Play 5 are shrill, have echo in voices… sort of experience when you play a low bit rate music.NoteI have tried True Play tuning multiple times I play highest bit rate songs in Spotify / Amazon / Jio SaavnFeeling bad about having invested ₹40,000 in Sonos Play 5, when my ₹5,000 JBL sounds deeper and sweeterWhat could be wrong with my Play 5 set up / circuit / factory turning??
I am thinking about replacing my 2 One SL surround speakers with 2 Era 300 wall mounts. I have an Arc, Sub (gen3) and the 2 One SL surrounds currently. However the 2 One SLs are mounted 1 foot under the ceiling and angled down behind my seating to point at my seat, which may be too close for the Atmos of the Era 300 to work correctly. Any suggestions on how much space from the ceiling I should have? I am planning to use the wall mounts sold as accessories.
Dear All,How I wanted to use my home setup to play music from my laptop.I do love to use Virtual DJ to mix a little so it’s not a music from my library only form line out. How to play my mixes on SONOS? Please help. Bieverhousen
I have a wireless network with a Netgear rbr50 and 1 satellite. Also have a Sonos Boost connected to the RBR50 via Ethernet. There are 2 Play 1s in one room and 2 Symfonisks in another. The Sonos app shows all players connected to Boost (WM0).When I check connected devices in the Netgear app it shows the Symfonisks and Boost as wired connections, but the Play 1s show as connected wirelessly, albeit with no signal.I have tried rebooting the Play 1s but nothing changed.Does anyone have any thoughts and should I be concerned?
Can I pair the new Era 100 with my existing Play 1 so I can play music in stereo. ’ If yes, are there any downsides/discernible sound differences to affect the stereo quality ?
I have a gen 1 beam with two play 1’s as surrounds in one room, two play 1’s as stereo pair in another room and a roam. The beam is wired and therefore the “master” speaker. For the past few weeks I’ve been facing issues with this setup that I’ve previously never seen whereby I will regularly open the app and my “Kitchen” setup of two play 1’s is not visible.Sometimes it was visible on my iPad app but not on my android phone and sometimes not on either. Similarly the roam would “disappear”.Most of the time the speakers would be visible in “my system” but the room was not visible.Having been through numerous speaker resets I thought I had solved the problem when I turned off the Wi-Fi on the beam because it was Ethernet cabled. Of course I lost the surround speakers but the kitchen speakers seemed more stable. This weekend I set the Wi-Fi back on the beam, got my surround back and then…Sonos update day and all my problems are back.“Kitchen” speakers have disappeared. Tried unplugging and
For a small bedroom, which do you think would give better sound quality: two Era 100s, or one Era 300?
I have a sonos play 5 gen 1. It connects to wifi great and works but has a loud humming sound. It is too old and i won’t be able to trade it in. is there any advice on what to replace? could it be a grounding issue? would it be the capacitors? if so which should i try to replace? I would rather try and salvage it since it does work well otherwise.
Hello everyone. I am new to Sonos, so forgive my inexperienced question.I have at home one Amp with Sub Mini, together with Sonance Ceiling Speakers in my living room. It was working great with no problem.Today, I decided to install in my TV room an Sonos Arc with a Sub.When I configured in the Sonos App the new equipment, the Amp+Sub Mini disappears and I can’t find a way to have both configurations on the same app.I want to stream music on my living room (Amp+Sub Miini) while for example my watches a movie in the TV Room (Arc+Sub). Or in occasions, stream the same music to both configurations simultaneously.I tried resetting all of them, but it seems as if is either of the systems, not both together.
Hi, I have x2 Amps and x8 speakers across 2 rooms. On a few occasions the volume reduces down by itself. When you increase it, the volume automatically turns itself down again.it is occasional and not that common but always seems to happen when we are entertaining. For the price of the system you wouldn’t expect this type of issue.Diagnostics reference: 1276846024. Any guidance gratefully received!
Recently one of my Sonos One speakers went dead. Simply won’t power on. Product is about 4 years old. Seems like a rather common problem. And as others have experienced the resolution is a 30% discount on a new product. And I was basically told it’s not worth fixing…likely will cost almost as much as a discounted new product. I’ve generally been happy with Sonos but this was definitely a bump in the road.
Hello community, I have a Sonos amp connecting sonance cab cinema speakers for my left and right an a i12 sonance sub. My question is it never triggers the subwoofer on. My use is just a 2.1 system for the garage. Suggestions and thought are appreciated. I usually have to adjust or disconnect the sub to get it on
I get my Sonos system programed to work with my WIFI router/modem but the next day my Sonos app informs me that the connection to the router/modem has to be reprogrammed. The reason I am told is because my router/modem switches between 2,4 GHz & 5.0 GHz. It has been recommended to buy a new router/modem that is 5.0 GHz only. Do I really need to get a dedicated 5.0 GHz router/modem? If so what 5.0 GHZ router/modem is recommended?
My One SL is the left speaker in my surround sound system. The other speakers are a beam and One SL. The left rear One SL has be showing updating in the app for days. I have unplugged it and now it will not turn back on.
Hi there.I may have been a little stupid/naieve.I bought a second-hand pair of Play 1 (S2 compatible) speakers to use on my S1 system. I downgraded them to S1 and they work very well.I intended to use the pair with my television headphone jack and a connect but the delay in the system puts the lip sync out by several seconds.I would like to return the speakers to S2 in order to resell them. Is this possible and, if so, how might I do it?Many thanks,Derek P
