So I’ve had a Sonos One for years, but have recently moved to a new house and with that comes a new router. Now obviously I want to change the wi-fi network on my Sonos One, but I’m stuck in a catch-22 here: Sonos tells me it can’t find wifi I press “Add Network” or whatever it’s called in the app App can’t find Sonos because it’s not on the network (duh) I also can’t access any of the settings in the app because the Sonos doesn’t have wifi access. I’ve done a factory reset but to no avail. So no way to fix this from my end I think. Any help?
Does anyone know if there’s a black power cord for the Symphonix picture frame?
I have a Sonos Arc and Play 1 connected to S2. I also have a Play 5 Gen 1 connected to S1. Both are connected to the same network When I connect to S2, it keeps suggesting that I connect connect the Play5 or open S1. This simply prevents me from listening to the Arc. How can I prevent this message from showing and thus blocking my listening. Disconnecting the Play 5 does work, but is not really practical.Sonos report number 1415913151 Moderator edit: combined posts

We’ve moved office, one of our speakers connects fine - serial ************* but I’m struggling to get the other speaker working - serial ***************. Both speakers are Play:1I’ve tried a factory reset on the speaker, then made it discoverable by pressing the play/pause and volume button simultaneously. This didn’t work as my phone couldn’t find the device. I also tried forgetting the wifi network and resetting it up. Unfortunately, only the speaker that already connected fine was discoverable and could connect to the wifi. When I tried to add the other device, it still wasn’t discoverable. Not really sure what to do next, would be great if someone knew what to do? Moderator edit: removed serial numbers
I was repainting a room in my house and decided to move my Sonos One SL that has been sitting there for about 8 months, never really moved it before. As I lift it up, ants come swarming out from under the bottom of the speaker. I’m completely shocked and have no clue what to do. Do I put it in the freezer in a bag? Do I spray insecticide on it? I don’t know what to do that doesn’t destroy the speaker. I looked this issue up and it seems like a common problem as well.
Hello. I’m lost… I have Several Sonos products with zero issues. Except one Play 5 stopped connecting to Wi-Fi after about 4 years of use (2017 purchase) issues. Except one play 5. After two years one of my play 5 surrounds stopped connecting to wifi. I’ve tried re-adding this speaker, deleting and re-adding etc. Multiple calls to tech support haven’t been helpful. When I connected via LAN it works perfect and I can connect it as a surround speaker. The minute I try and set up wifi or disconnect LAN I lose audio. Diagnostics as of 2/7/2023 @ 819pm CDT. Diagnostic # 1717621083wifi: 1g Metro Net Fiber running two Ubiquiti AP’s with one being about 6-10 feet away. Minimal packet loss and stable speeds of 300mb+ on heavy load days. Sonos app and local routers and AP’s are up to date. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. cheers
Hi all,I have just purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2, but I’m an Android User. Is it worth it to borrow an iPhone so I can set it up using TruePlay? Will I be able to return the iPhone once it is setup?TIA
Sonos sent me a replacement for my sub and I’m returning the defective one. I’ve removed the old sub from the system and then reset it. I then added the new one. However the old one is showing as not connected in the app and it’s prompting me to connect. How can I make sure the old sub disappears from my system? When I access my account on the Sonos website I can still see in the system page.
Hi everyone I finally bought a one sl and tbh am not happy with it. It sounds great. BUT: the connection seems a nightmare. It doesn’t connect automatically when I walk into the house. That i can live with. But when I stream music straight from the Spotify app it cut off the first few seconds of every new song i select. It is better if i go through the Sonos app to access Spotify but then I can’t use the volume toggles on my phone to change volume. Meaning: fish phone out of pocket, unlock, find sonos app, open app and THEN change volume. by far the worst though: when I go from listening to Spotify to sth else, say youtube or insta and then back to Spotify THERE IS NO SOUND. The track is running (time count running) but silent. So: get back in menu, disconnect, reconnect and then it works again. First world problems, for sure. But my old JBL blu tooth speaker was MUCH easier to live with. Didn’t sound as good, to be fair. as always with these things, the problem is probably me. Bu
Hello. We bought a house recently. The previous owner gave us a good discount on her Sonos system [not that we really wanted it, but we really did not want holes and useless cables in the walls].The sound bar under the TV connects to the TV via the optical cable and works well. The two ceiling speakers are silent. There is a Connect:Amp in the basement.I am looking for guidance on what to do now, please. I am clueless. Do I call Sonos? What’s the number?I have WiFi but, obviously, it’s not the same as the previous owner had. Please treat me as a complete newbie, because I am. What do I do?Thank you very much!!!
The model where Sonos pushes updates, and then all their customers get to then not pay for the speakers and amps, WE also GET TO WORK FOR FREE FOR SONOS got to stop. We get to endlessly restart and spend hours trying to send enough feedback to Sonos so they can eventually fix their product. It HAS got TO STOP. i deeply regret being a loyal customer.
I have two Play 3’s and a Play 1 grouped together. In order to use Airplay I just added a Roam SL to the system. When NOT using airplay, just using the app the way I always have, it works perfectly. But when I try to play music via Airplay from my phone, I have a big problem; The whole system works fine, but then the other speakers suddenly drop out leaving only the Roam is playing. Then it suddenly all kicks back in again. Back and forth. What the heck is going on??
Hi Have 3 Sonos 0ne model Play 1 .. can connect t0 two of the speakers but not the third which was possible 2 weeks ago .. Help
Hi! Wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue, which has only just cropped up for me.By way of background, we have a total of 14 x Sonos speakers in our home, which for the past 18+ months have been running just fine. They are a mix of Gen 1 and Gen 2, and include 1 x Sub-Mini and 1 x Sub (Gen 3).Connection is via 3 x hardwired Ubiquiti U6-Mesh access points running off a UDM Pro / 24 port Switch Pro. Speakers are all on the 2.4GHz network, locked to their nearest access point. The broadcast channels are auto-optimised nightly by the network to avoid interference, and all speakers have excellent signal strength. Speakers are paired in most rooms, except two rooms which have a single Sonos One. We mostly stream music wirelessly from our iPhones / iPads, using Airplay, and everything has been working without a hitch … until within the last week or so. I note that very recently there has been both a Sonos system update, plus at least one iOS update. The Problem ...Suddenly
I’ve got 2 Sonos Play 1’s (early models) and have recently added a Roam. I’ve also changed my wifi recently. My Play 1s used to be pretty stable but now the whole system keeps losing connection. Have tried changing wifi channels and that dIdn’t really help. Is a Boost/Bridge likely to resolve this? TIA
I’ve changed my router and my Sonos One speaker won’t connect to the new network. My Play 1 speakers and Amp have all connected fine. I had a similar issue previously and was advised to turn off my old routers 5ghz channel and that allowed the Sonos One speaker to connect. My new Eero mesh system only allows turning off the 5ghz channel for 10 minutes, not permanently. I’ve tried this and the speaker still won’t connect when the 5ghz channel is temporarily disabled. The speaker is location and the power supply means I can’t plug it into the router with Ethernet. Can any one help please?
Hi allAfter the latest App update 15.1.1 and problems with the boost continually updating, I turned off automatic updates, however, it’s now telling me there’s another update - what’s this for and should I do it ? Many Thanks Andy
Can I connect my output from a sky mini to a Sonos move (or Sonos one). the sky box has optical out - can this connect to the Sonos move USB C port ?
Sonos system: Beam x1, One x1, Play 1x1. Previously working well on standard WiFi. Have ‘upgraded’ wifi with TP-link Deco M5 mesh system. This system is now running 2.4GHz only, in “Access Mode’ and security to WPA/WPA2. Have tried to link both Boom and One numerous times. Manage to get as far as linking to temporary Sonos Network then get a final message “Your mobile device couldn’t connect to your Beam (or Sonos One). Move closer and make sure its powered on.”I’m right next to the speakers and (of course) it’s turned on.Speakers connect fine when connected by ethernet. Any help please?
Hi, since changing my internet service provider my sonos 2 app has been behaving very strangely.I have pretty much tried everything to get it working (going through all the processes) and still failing. some times it would show one room, sometimes another, sometimes (like now) it would fail to load altogether.where I am at now, is the windows desktop controller is absolutely fine and the app is failing to load completely. Weirdly, my wife’s app randomly worked fine yesterday for the first time in weeks and now won’t load today at all.
Hi - anyone else with the Sonos app update 15.1.1 find the app no longer connects to their Sonos products?
I’ve had 2 of the Roam speakers for a while now and I’m really disappointed in the way they interact with the Sonos App. They were working in their initial configuration - as a stereo pair to drag around and use with bluetooth/airplay - for some months, and then I split my Sonos system between two houses.Nothing worked in the new house until I factory reset all devices, including the 2 Roam speakers.Everything else worked in the new house (Play:1 stereo pair, Beam, Connect amp with old speakers and a RCA input) but the Roams never quite worked right. When setting them up initially, both speakers said they might not show up in the app until being power cycled.I set them up separately, one first all the way through the process of setting it up, following the prompt to power cycle it so it would show up in the app, until it showed in the app in a Room, changed the Room name to Portable, then started the other. The second Roam went through the process until power cycling, then when it came
HI, I currently have the Arc, sub and 2 Ones in my living room, I'm wondering if I can create another room ‘living room 2’ that uses the ones and the sub only?
I have a Sonos surround system - Playbar, Sub and two Play:1 as rears.I was considering swapping a Play:1 for a One (Gen 2) to get Alexa functionality. I have done several searches and have only found the answer to one of my two my concerns.I understand that I would not be able to use AirPlay2 with it spliced into the surround system, which is acceptable. What I can not find stated is whether Alexa would work and control the grouped speakers. With e.g. the iPlayer skill, I’d want to say “Computer, Radio 4” or other skills, “Computer, Planet Rock” or Apple Music... and so on.If anyone can reassure me on that functionality, I’d be grateful.Thanks.
