Connecting old Play:1

Hello there,

My parents gave me their Sonos Play:1, I am currently struggling to connect them on my phone as I have the following error : “Your mobile device couldn’t connect to your Play:1..”, My phone is right to the side of the Sonos and is Sonos is powered on. I try resetting the Sonos and reinstalling the app still not working.

Any suggestions ?

Have you tried plugging in the play 1 to the router to get things going?

The PLAY:1 should be Factory Reset prior to adding it to your system. As Traveller suggests, some potential issues can be avoided if you wire PLAY:1 to your router while you add it to your system.
