Can anyone help me understand why my Sonos Play 3 won’t let me play music that I own? The message says that I need to renew my Apple Music subscription. I don’t want Apple Music, just to play the music I purchased on iTunes astoundingly frustrating
I have a corner sectional in my living room and currently have two Sonos Ones behind the portion directly facing the TV. If I moved one of those to the other end would the ERA 300 sound ok in the corner?
I have replaced a couple of P1’s with a single ERA. I now want to give the P1’s to a family member, in a different house/network. The P1’s where running on S2, and have been factory reset. The new home is currently running S1, as they are using a bridge and 3 existing P1’s, and the bridge is only ethernet connected device. My plan was to disconnect the existing bridge, replace with an existing S1 P1, check all OK, then upgrade whole system to S2.I can then add the 2 P1’s that have been reset. Once all OK, I can move the P1’s to their new rooms in the new home.Is that the correct process?
I just moved my Sonos system to a VLAN, which is not the VLAN my main network (including my phone) is on. Now, of course, none of my Sonos apps, phone or PS sees my system. Is there any way to get them all working together (short of putting my speakers back on my main VLAN? Don't really want to do that, as that'll lessen the security of my network.
Hi there!Does anyone have any advice on how to connect a Firestick Lite (connected to a video projector) to my Sonos One SL? The Firestick doesn't see the Sonos speaker when searching in discovery mode?Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks
The Sonos app won’t open on IPhone all of a sudden. The sonos screen app reads, freezes then closes. Any thoughts on this? The system is unusable now
I just purchased a Ray sounds bar and 1 Sonos One SL. I connected by Ray to my TV. Can I have the One SL play the same audio that is going through the Ray from the TV? I have the Ray connected via the cord not bluetooth.
Hello, I have an open layout Living/Dining room/kitchen area about 33ft X 18 ft (on the kitchen side) and then the room narrows towards the living side (see room image). The ceiling height is about 10 ft. Trying to make a plan for how to best equip it for music listening only (no TV in this room). Thinking between various combinations of Era 300s with Sub Gen 3, or a couple of Fives? Would 2 Fives or 2 Era 300s be enough for a room this size? Also, thoughts about speaker placement would be great.(I am about to setup a recently purchased Arc/Sub Gen3/2 Era 100s in a smaller TV room). Will appreciate any thoughts. Thanks
I have two Sonos Arc’s each with Subs in two rooms. Each time I launch the app and try to play music say from Iheart or anyone it says system disconnected. It says let’s find your products and then says it “we couldn’t find any products on” the wifi network. I keep having to restart the router, turn off the sonos products for it to reconnect. Once I get all four functioning and turn it off the next tie I open the app to play music again it says disconnected and won’t connect or play the speakers. I have to repeat the turning off and on of everything. Any suggestions?
So I think I’ve encountered a bug, and wanted to share in case anyone else sees this (or hopefully someone from Sonos engineering sees it).If I play Apple Music in Atmos on my Home Theater (ARC+Amp+Sub) I get a nice little Atmos icon in the app showing me I’m listening to spatial music. If I try to play the same Apple Music track on my Era 300’s (Era 300 Stereo Pair + Sub Mini) I don’t get the same icon. To troubleshoot I tried to drop the sub, and also unpair the stereo pair, and I still don't get the little icon. So the next thing I tried was comparing the same track played from another music service (Pandora in this case) to see if there is a noticeable difference. There seemingly was.So I believe this is a UI bug where the Atmos icon isn’t showing up for the Era 300s versus it being an issue of Atmos not working.
I have tried to gather my old Sonos units in our second home with the aim of using the S1 app for those units when we are here.the Sonos units involved:• play:5• play:1• BridgeI have the S1 app on my iPhone at version 11.8 which should be the latest.Status:Play:5:Success, this one is working as expected on the S1 app.Play:1 was previously in an S2 network, but I have followed the steps to downgrade it to S1 and now it’s blinking green and is ready to connect.Issue seems to be the app… when click add add product, there’s a pop up saying that the app needs to update and when I accept I only get an error message. After clicking more info I get the error code 1101.I have tried all the hints related to 1101 but still the same result: can’t add more products.Bridge: this one doesn’t show at all, but given that the play:5 works it feels as it’s a bit redundant (even if it would feel better to connect since I anyway have it…). I I have also tried to connect the play:1 without having the Bridge
I have a Beam gen2 with a sub and two era 100s for surrounds. I cannot get any sound when trying to play a game console (Nintendo Switch or Xbox 1) Any solutions to this?
I’m trying to balance the tv sound bar and LandR speakers but it says one of my speakers is lost? All plugged, switched on and working.
I have a arc with 2 ones and a sub for surround set up with trueplay.if I turn off ones and sub does the arc play as a stand alone product, or as it would as part of the group?
With the latest software update it is difficult and frequently impossible to group my speakers when I try to play Deezer (maybe some other audio services). My diagnostic code is 830627147. Best regards
On my E300s there is a 13 second delay when listening via airplay. This is from both my Mac and my iPhone. The same devices have a 2 second lag when airplaying to other devices including my Sonos 5s, Ones, Arc, and Apple HomePods. Thirteen seconds seems pretty excessive. Is there some setting I'm not seeing that can fix this?Normal wifi play is instantaneous. I
Hi I’m just moving from an old squeezebox system and the lack of this feature (or my inability to find it) is driving me nuts. If I physically change the volume on one speaker in a group, I want all the other speakers in the group to adjust their volume as well. I sort of can’t believe this option doesn’t exist… I had the ability to fine tune the experience on my squeezebox system for as long as I can remember, and I think I started buying them over twenty years ago. Sonos- please add this (very basic) feature.
My sub was paired to a Beam gen 1 but recently I had my doubts if it actually supported the Beam. Today I paired it with a new Arc and I come to the conclusion that it doesnt give any sound. In the Sonos-app it states the roomname + sub. I tried to remove it from my sytem and add it back, which did not help. There are no new updates. Anyone have an idea on how to solve this?
How can i hear in Sonos One my audio files that I have stored in my iphone??? Is here any way to connect my iphone to Sonos like any other speaker device through Bluetooth??
I predominantly listen to music on Sonos and have an existing 2x Sonos One (Gen2). Considering that Sonos Sub Mini and Era300 are priced similar. Should I rather add the Sonos Sub Mini to my existing setup or get Era 300. It is for my small to mid sized lounge. Which should give me the best music experience? Thanks
Hey everyone, I’m flustered with how the Sonos system keeps cutting out at my new place. This was a much more tolerable issue before (when I also didn’t have Boost in place). At my new place, I’ve installed 8 speakers (individually for now) and everytime I start to play a song from Spotify, half of the speakers cut in and out for the first 20 seconds and eventually come on. This isn’t an issue for the subsequent songs if the queue remains uninterrupted. But, if I try to play another song, well, we’re back to square one!I just installed Boost and the situation improved mildly. But, I still have the same frustrating thing as before. While I love these speakers, this really seems unacceptable to me at this point and I’m now thinking if I should just get rid of the entire system and find a better alternative. My place is a 1,000 square foot flat and Boost, distance and location wise, isn’t too far from the speakers (30ft max from the farthest). Anyone had a better luck with this?
Good evening Just bought two Era 100’s as my main music source. They are excellent, however, I have a problem. All my other speakers and my sound bar are on Sonosnet, while the Era 100’s obviously are on my Wi-Fi. The problem I have is when I group the Era100’s with any of my other Sonos one’s they keep losing connection. Yet play the Era 100’s on their own or likewise the other speakers on Sonosnet on their own they work fine. They just will not work when grouped properly.
I have a Beam, Sub and Pair of Ones along with a pair of Fives that all connect to Sonos Net via the Sonos Boost plugged directly into my router.I also have a pair of ERA 300s that are not compatible with Sonos Net. Up until yesterday I've had no problem playing music to any two pairs or all speakers at once. Ever since the most recent app update (today or yesterday), I can combine the groups of speakers or "rooms" that are on the Sonos net and play them together, but the ERA 300s cannot play the same song at the same time all of the sudden.I can also play just the ERA 300s, but if I attempt to add in either of the other rooms, the app shows them playing but no audio comes out.Anybody else experiencing this?
HI.Bought an ERA 100 for a friend’s new home. They have a Samsung smart tv and want to play the sound through the ERA. Can you let us know how to do that? The tv connects through wifi. At this point the Sonos is paired by bluetooth to a phone. The Sonos app is installed. Thanks for any help and info.
For about the last month, my Sonos Playbar and a pair of Play 1 speakers temporarily stop playing together after grouping. The Playbar is also used as a TV speaker, which causes it to ungroup from Play 1 speakers when the TV is on. That’s the way we prefer it for TV watching. When listening to music, we prefer a whole room effect, so we group them together. For about the last month, especially when listening to SiriusXM, the grouping works great for about the first 10 minutes, then the Playbar drops off for about 3 minutes, so only the Play 1s are working. Then the Playbar returns to the group by itself, although the overall sound quality is degraded.I have tried powering down all components, then rebooting, to no avail.I live in a high rise building amidst many other WiFi systems. The components all work off a Wifi extender on a Google Fiber network. All the components are 12 feet or closer to the extender.Grateful for any help. I have submitted diagnostics Confirmation #515872033.
