When I connect my Roli keyboard through the NOISE app on my iPad to the Era100 via Bluetooth, there is a latency about 300 ms, which disturbs me. In order to reduce the latency, I bought a C-USB cable which I can connect the iPad to the Era100 loudspeaker. How do I make sure the signal runs over the cable and will this reduce the latency?
I have many blu ray 5.1 audio disks. Can I connect the blu-ray player directly to an era 300 with an hdmi to usb-c adapter for the line in and have the 5.1 sound transferred to the era 300 speaker?
I’m just putting this out there…Sometimes I need to reboot my speakers when an update didn’t install or something like that. I’ve even noticed rebooting speakers helps if they sometimes are cutting in and out due to interference. Regardless of the reason (aside from speakers not being found in the app) I would love it if I could reboot speakers from the app instead of having to walk to each of my 12 Sonos speakers to unplug and plug back in. I’m no programming genius or anything but seems like a reasonable option to have in the app.
When are we going to finally be able to have a stereo pair plus dual subs ? , I'm delaying Sonos purchases until then. Please get this done.
Hello!I don’t understand why Sonos Arc and the two Era 300 (which I decided, for now, intentionally not to pair as a surround) which are located under the same Apple Home app room called ‘Living room’, appear on the Sonos app as being placed in two different rooms called each ‘Era 300’ (the name I gave to each speaker via the Home app). I basically want all the products to appear under the same room (Living Room) on the Sonos app.Does anyone know how to fix this naming issue? Thank you!
Hi, I have just bought a pair of era 300’s and a beam gen2. I have connected my beam with my tv via hdmi earc and then added the pair of era300’s as surround speakers. My problem is that I can now barely hear anything coming from my era300’s when playing Dolby atmos content on Netflix. When playing music directly from Apple Music it does not come up with the Dolby atmos badge and the era300’s keeping fading and coming back for a few seconds. I am on the latest version 15.5 and have all my products connected via wifi. Can someone please point me in the right direction as to what might be causing the issue or is there something wrong that I would have some during the setup. Thanks in advance
I am considering purchasing a Sonos amp to use as the amplifier for my turntable. The main reason I have chosen the Sonos Amp is because I want to be able to use my existing passive speakers in my record room, and also be able to send the turntable output to all of my other Sonos products throughout the house. My existing passive speakers are 8om 150/600W. The Sonos Amp is rated at 125W. Will there be an issue using the 125 W amp with my 150/600W speakers?
Is the Mounting Hole / Screw - Strong enough to hold the unit upside-down?I’m looking to create a DIY bracket and this M5 14mm screw would be the unique mounting point, holding the unit upside-down giving uses access to the touch panel from below.Any longevity impacts of using them in this orientation.I read that the 300’s have accelerometers to detect the orientation, so that unit would seemingly not have any but I’ve not read anything on the 100’s.NB.I’m disregarding any acoustic or tuning limitations (ie: Software) as my basic testing seems to not overly affect performance.
When starting a new session on our Sonos system, the first 30 seconds are a chaotic experience of frantically trying to turn down the volume across all speakers. If a song is selected and started on a normal level, the volume quickly climbs to extremely high levels across all speakers. Using the app to try to turn them down, I can watch the volume crank back up as if it’s possessed. This circus continues for about half a minute until it finally settles down and accepts the volume selected in the app.Is there anything I can do to stop my system from doing this?We are using two Play:3 and two Play:1 speakers.
I want to mount 1 Era 300 in the center of big open area as a main speaker for back ground listening. I have angled vaulted ceilings. In other words, the wall I'm mounting it on is about 12ft high and the wall directly across the room is 8ft tall. I plan on mounting it around 9ft off thew floor… its my best option. My question is do I mount it right side up or upside down. I know Sonos says that you need at least 2ft clearance above the speaker. I will have 3 to 3.5 ft clearance above the speaker mounting it right side up. Which is best?
Hello, Just bought the arc and sub3. I come from a standalone reciever where when using the microphone the bass level, speaker level where adjusted along with how many meters there were from listening position to the sub and to the speakers. It also adjusted how low (hz) the speakers should play and when the sub were to take over (hz). is this also what trueplay does? is it normal that after running trueplay the EQ settings is set to “0” as before running Trueplay? if I turn of my sub and leave trueplay on, will my arc then play a lower bass as it “thinks” the sub is playing? If i turn off my sub do I then need to turn off Trueplay so that the arc will play more bass?I can’t seem to understand that people are satisfied with the bass level on the arc alone. I think it is almost non-existing. With the sub however the system kicks ass.Thanks.
Hi, i currently have a Beam Gen 2, and i am planing to expand the ecosystem, now that i have the soundbar, i am looking into upgrade my current sonos for music listening, i am torn between adding a sub mini, or just get 1 era 300, my question is interms of music listening will beam gen2+sub-mini be better or a era300 sounds better? Need help on this from the experience user out there.. thanks in advance
I recently moved away from my parents where my Sonos Play:1 was originally placed in a system using my dads e-mail. When i moved in my roomate already had a sonos that was connected to her account and i’ve been trying to connect mine to it as well but it is not working. I’ve tried factory resetting and used the add new product in the app but it constantly fails.
From the FAQ it looks like you have to use the dongle to do line-in to the ERA speakers… but it mentions analog sources like a turntable or cassette player. I assume the dongle is similar to the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm dongle where the DAC is in the dongle. In this case the ADC stage is in the dongle… and that makes sense if you are trying to connect an analog device, but it seems silly that you can’t input a digital source directly without having to do 2 conversions (DAC on the way out of whatever digital device you are using, say a CD player using optical instead of RCA) and then the ADC via the dongle into the ERA100 since its a USBC port and is seemingly expecting a digital signal from the dongle anyway. Any plans to make a dongle that allows straight digital input? If you had a digital signal could a USBC direct connection work (assuming its 24/48 pcm or whatever sonos expects)?
I changed my soundbar from a beam to an Ark and the sub is working with the ark but my Era 100s are not. When I check my system it has a question ❓ mark beside the Eras. When I check if they are connected, it says they are, but no sound. I think the Eras are still connected to the beam I returned. How do I get sound from the Eras? I wanted to use them for rears. Any ideas?
I've recently changed my wifi provider (from BT to Sky) and I've tried 3 times to connect my Sonos five to the wifi to no avail. Does anyone have any advice?
I have several sonos speakers already connected. Due to problems of lack of light, everything got out of control. Now in the Sonos application I get the speakers with a key and do not happen. What should I do?
Good morning,As part of our new office building, our retail team are wanting to setup 4 Sonos One SL speakers in the cafe and retail area on the ground floor. We checked with our AV partner who are installing our Teams meeting rooms to check that they wouldn't interfere and they are happy that they wouldnt, however they did raise concerns as they advised Sonos are designed for domestic use and in a commercial bulding they would cause a “big issue” as they sit on 2.4 GHz (congested wi fi channels) and may cause interference. They advised that the person installing them will need to understand what access points are going in on what channels and then, ensure that the Sonos are separated. Is this correct? I can see from the specs that the Sonos One SL work on 2.4 or 5 GHz bands and that Sonos are starting to move into the commercial market, so I am slightly sceptical of the advice we have been given. We are installing Meraki MR36 wifi 6 access points so I think this should help as they

My Era 100 speakers keep disappearing from the app and I can’t play them. I am using BT smart hub 2 with Linksys velop for WiFi. I keep having to reboot the speakers and router to get the speakers back. After a while they disappear again. I have tried changing the WiFi channel on the BT smart hub and have disabled the smart WiFi channel connection on the hub, but it makes no difference. I have play 1 and one speakers on SonosNet using a boost and they work fine.
HI, I changed router to an Orbi RBR350 and my Sonos first wouldn’t connect. I did a factory reset on the Sonos, and now it can get on the wifi but now won’t let me register the product to add to my system. Can anyone offer any advice, please? Thanks
I've got a fair amount of Sonos gear, but I'm starting to get fed up with the poor wifi in their speakers. The stuff in my TV room - Arc, Sub min, two rear Ones - works fine. I have a Sonos amp in my office, and I rarely have problems with that. But in my bedroom, there have been problems for a long time.Previously, I had a pair of Ones, and the right speaker signal dropped out often. Sonos suggested changing the wifi channel, and I did that, and it was improved.I recently update to a pair of Era 100s, and it's even worse. Almost every time I listen, one of the speakers goes offline and reboots. Sonos support says that this is because it's searching for a good wifi connection, but I have a Netgear Orbi wifi 6 mesh system, and in that room, I get several hundred Mb/s in speed tests. And this is with an access point less than 20 feet from the speakers. No other wifi device I own - and I have quite a few - has problems with this. The wifi radios on the Sonos gear must be underpowered, and
Anyone know if a move can play in sync alongside 2 play 3's in the same room?
Arriving to my summer house with a Playbase(wired) + two play 1 as surround, one Sonos AMP and one Sonos Move.Updates needs to be done and all works fine but both play 1 stucks “updating”. Tried reboot router and Play 1 a number of times. Finally I decided to reinstall them. Factory reset, install as new unit, switching to temporary Wi-Fi-network and then back to my normal Wi-Fi. After that the Play 1 will not connect. Same problem with both of them.Tried a different routerTried add with Ethernet and that works fine. Wi-Fi is activated on both Play 1 but when I remove the cable they disappear from the app. Tried Network-update network and adding the same network again. Same results.
Hi everyone,I just received my pair of era 300 to replace my ones. When sending music on just one of them, audio is perfectly fine. When sending music on both of them, although not configured as a stereo pair, audio is perfectly fine. When sending music on both of them, when configured as a stereo pair, audio is perfectly fine. When configured as surround speakers, and sending music to the whole system (Arc + Sub + 2x era 300), the sound is fine on the Arc and Sub (RJ45 wired), and cuts in and out on both of the era 300.More precisely, it’s as if the sound is fading out, fading in, bouncing between the two era 300 a couple of times, then stabilizing for 3-5s, and then doing it all over again.I tried restarting my router, unplugging/plugging back both era 300, changing WiFi channel on the sonos APP, and I still have this weird behaviour. At this point, I don’t have any clue on what to do next… 😔 Any idea on how I could fix this?
