I connected two Play 3 speakers to an existing Sonos Amp system, all are S2. The speakers were purchased together, one updated fine, the other did not and will not. Things I have tried based on similar problems found in the community:-Connect the speaker via ethernet cable-Connect the speaker directly to the router-Reboot the router-Factory reset the speaker-Disconnect the working Play 3, factory reset again, try adding again (same error)All are on the same network. Hello everyone! I need your help since im not really sure if Sonos would let me pair a bluetooth headset with multiple devices. Here is my situation:I want to connect 2 Sonos devices via a bluetooth headset (or a microfone but a headset is preferred) so i can transmit my voice for events etc. I also want to display music for the background whenever nothings is being said.I figured out that these devices would allow me to to connect multiple Sonos devices together and then display audio via bluetooth: Era 100 Era 300 Move 2 Roam Roam SLbut i still havent seen any information about pairing a e.g headset or anything similar. How would i even be able to select the sonos devices with the headset …? You see im very new to this stuff so i just hope someone might be able to help me here. If u have any further questions pls feel free to ask them^^. Thank you all for your time!
I have read a couple of hours worth of info on ways to keep the Era 300 from disconnecting from Wi-Fi. I bought it less than a week ago. First 2-3 days I had no trouble. Now all I have i do is connect, play music. Reconnect next time I want to play more music, and it’s a never ending circle. I bought Sonos because I heard it was easiest to set up and easy to manage. Yikes. I have factory reset, factory reset while switching off my private Wi-Fi address. I haven’t figured out how to put all speakers on the same channel. Sonos recommends 1,6 and 11. Don’t know what that means or how to do it. It’s like reading Chinese to me. Has anyone tried that, and does it work?
I have 2 sonos era 100 speakers. I'm looking to have them both paired via bluetooth to my windows 11 pro Dell computer. I have successfully connected one but how do I connect the other as well to operate in stereo (2 channel). Brian
Hi All,I read all the posts here including “can’t connect again” and none of them are identical to my question or issue. My pair of One SLs work fine in connection with my Play 1 and Sub, until …I turn my TV off (the two SL units always stay turned on as they are on separate electrical outlets/circuits in different parts of the room Whenever the TV is turned back on for any watching, the Playbar and Sub connect just fine but the One SLs never reconnect. Never. The only way to resolve this is for me to completely unplug all devices, let the TV sit one minute without electrical power to it, the turn on the TV then the two One SL units right after. A few minutes later all is synced up and works fine. One might argue that this is an IP address issue or network issue but it’s not. It’s consistent every time. I can sync up all the units just fine if all are unplugged and plugged back in. But once the TV alone is turned off (only the TV), when it’s turned back on the One SLs will not res
I have the older generation Sonos speakers which run S!. I am curious what you get with S2 that I don’t get with S1? Also, is there a way to upgrade the components in me speakers to use S2 or must all new equipment be purchased.
Hello!Bought an Era 300 yesterday and noticed that it (and my S1s) are all connected to my 2.4 band instead of 5ghz. I believe they are all 5ghz compatible. Does anybody know if I can force them onto the 5ghz?I have google nest hubs which are dual band 2.4 and 5. I only ask as I find a bit of a lag or pause when playing the next song with Amazon Music (I find their whole integration is pretty slow, especially compared to the excellent Deezer integration). Thanks,Craig
I have 7 Sonos speakers, a mixture of Play:3, Five, Era 300 and a Roam. I use Plex and play the majority of my music from that source. The problem I have is that when any of my speakers connect to a particular Unifi AP they are unable to connect to Plex and playback fails. If a speaker is part of the way through a queue when connected to one of my other Unifi APs and I force it to reconnect to the problematic AP then playback will fail on the next track. No other music services are affected and the same tracks played directly from my Sonos Library from a fileshare on my network play fine even when connected to the problem AP and this is the same share behind my Plex library. Network tests on the AP and the speaker(s) when connected to the AP show no problems i.e. name resolution is fine and connection to the gateway and internet are fine with no packet loss and no other wireless clients experience any connectivity issues. In the case of my 2 downstairs Five speakers this is the nearest
can't get my ray device to link with my LG TV?
I now have four speakers in a room- two 100’s and two Ones. Sound is outstanding but with one major probl em. I listen to a lot of classical music, and on some orchestral recordings I get really bad distortion in in the mid-to-upper frequencies (strings). It doesn’t happen with solo piano recordings or older rock and jazz. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
I have a large living room that has been setup with an Arc, a Sub3 & 2 x ERA 300s as rears. Awesome sound when watching Atmos movies and listening to Atmos Music, while seated in my TV chair, however, is there a way / suggested config that would enable me to play General Music / Atmos Music through just the 2 Era 300s and then switch back to adding them as rears to the Arc & Sub, when I watch movies? As a stand alone pair, (before I added them as Rears), the sound seems to be better for music (in General) than as part of my current Atmos Movie Setup.Hope it makes sense what I’m asking?
Hello, I’ve got 2 SONOS Play 1’s. I’ve had them in stereo pairing mode for about 4 or so years now. The right speaker no longer plays music in pairing mode. When I unpair them, the both of them work just fine separately. However, as soon as I pair them back into stereo mode, the right speaker stops working. When enabling/disabling the LED for the both of them in the SONOS controller, I can see that they’re both synchronised. Both devices have a static IP address. I’ve tried rebooting the router, but to no avail. Diagnostics number: 825482722Any ideas?
Before I buy the mini sub i need to know it will sync with my pair of era 100’s when i use my record player via the phono adapter on the era 100. Thanks
Losing connections to all sonos products . Becoming a regular occurrence over the last 3 weeks . Seems to be every other morning when i realise the sonos radio alarm has not gone off . Got boost + 3 other sonos speakers . App cannot find any of them . Only fix seems to be to power off all equipment / rooter/ boost and at least on sonos speakers . Note no other wifi using equipment has an issue . Its becoming very frustrating and no longer trust the sonos as an alarm . It seems to be the connection between boost and the speakers that drop .
Hello, I would like to use a Sonos speaker to control my home automation with home assistant, without using Google home or Alexa. But being able to use these but not for my home automation, only for information, weather...I was directed by the Bard AI to the Sonos One 2nd generation, but it is no longer sold. Can you direct me to a reference that can:- control my Home-Assistant home automation- Be compatible with Google home and AlexaThanks for your help.
The Sonos one plays static over everything I try to play through it. The actual music is very dull and the static is as loud as I would think the music should be. Is this a fixable thing?
Sonos is still terrible. It is inconsistent, unreliable and extremely frustrating. It works for weeks and then doesn’t work at all. It requires multiple iterations of turning off routers and speakers and attempting to find reboot magic, which never happens. I’m finally kicking them out and going with Amazon suite of wireless speakers. After years of frustration, I can’t wait to get the new speakers and throw Sonos speakers away. Don’t get it! Not because the cost, which is too high, but because of the frustration factor! Most frustrating product I’ve EVER owned. Advice for anyone considering Sonos, don’t do that to yourself! Move on, go wireless with anything else. #sonossucks
On Sonos products does turning off the wifi turn off the wifi card? Trying to see if Sonos Arc and Sub gen 3 give off radiation and EMF’s when wifi is disabled. thanks
Weird new problem with an existing Sonos setup that has popped up this week after my ISP had a big outage this week. I have an Orbi RBRE960 Mesh network with 3 satellites. I have 4 Sonos One speakers, a Playbar and an Amp scattered around the house and connected across the diffferent satellites. Previously, the controller app on iPhone or my laptop could see them all wherever I was in the house. Since a couple of days ago (post the ISP outage - may be coincidence, maybe not!) the controller app on iPhone or laptop only sees the speakers connected to the same satellite. Its definitely a Sonos thing as i can sit on the same laptop that cant see the speakers via the controller app and run a “ping” command to any of the speakers in the house and that command connects to them fine. I also have a printer hanging off one satellite and can print to that from anywhere in the house. Also, If I move around the house with my phone and the Sonos app, as the phone connects to a different satellite
I was gifted an Arc and Sub Gen and now want to add speakers. I’m more interested in music than TV though having both is really nice. I also am a bit old school and love the rich quality sound from tube amplifies and turntables of my past. That said we are in a new era and I just want a really nice sound system.I am testing both the Era 100s and Era 300s and having trouble deciding which are better. The 100s give really clear crisp treble and left and right channel sound, though it feels like something is missing when comparing to the 300s. The 300s are broader and fuller but the sound takes a deeper and not quite as rich tone….almost sounding muffled? Am I missing something in the configuration? In a previous post someone recommended connecting the 300s to the Sub Gen without the Arc? OR, how do I get better richer sound out of the 100s with the Arc and Sub Gen?the room is a rectangle - probably 25 x 13. 8’ ceiling with skylights and one side wall is glass with a patio door. Ap
Hi guys, recenlty I unplugged my SYMFONISK speaker while I was sorting out my room. I then turned it back on and it wasn't connecting to Spotify. Then it stopped connecting to Sonos. I rebooted it and even had to factory reset it as per instructions. I reset my router and my phone even rest the app, and my speaker didn't work. I managed to get it to connect to my account however it still doesn't work as it needs registering but I can't register as it it's already in my account and therefore I can't actually use my speaker. What do I do?
I have a Gen 1 play 5 that I pretty much only play from Spotify and have been having an issue with it intermittently going quiet. About every 5-10 minutes, it will go silent for like 5 seconds. The music continuous playing on other speakers in the group. Its only this one speaker that has the issue. This has been happening for quiet a while and happens on totally new wifi networks as well so I dont think its an issue with the network. Has anyone ever experienced this? Audio cutting out every time used, sometimes for minutes at a time
First time poster...in many years at least...and I have searched the forums and realize there is a lot of information here and probably the perfect post for me is there somewhere but have been unable to find it. I have been a SONOS user for more than 10 years and have 10 speakers in my home. Now obviously not all speakers are on at once all the time but the times when I do connect them all there are connectivity issues. This is an obvious network problem and there are very technical responses and details in these forums that well beyond by networking capabilities that would probably work but I am curious if there is a simple solution that should work in my case. I am just asking before I go out and purchase something that may not work (if its not the right solution). Here are some deets on my situation:Internet provider - Starlink (usually pretty good speed - I don’t think this is the problem) Network set up: Starlink wifi router network for non smart home devices, guests etc Google w
Hi all!Got the original sonos one wall mount. The product looks very good, but when I tried to pivot it (before mounting on a dry wall) it wont budge. Could it be that stiff? Anyone have it?Neven
