I have ORBI 6. I was having so many problems with Sonos 1 WiFi speakers that I decided to connect the speaker via Cat Cable to its own ORBI Satellite. It still doesn’t work. So the only solution is to figure out how to give each speaker its own address. What a pain.
Hi All, I have a new Sonos Five speakers and plans to join it to existing S1 System with Play 5 Gen1. Please share the steps to be performed. Regards,
Possibly a stupid question but... I have just purchased 2 ERA 300s. If i use them as a stereo pair will they playback Dolby Atmos and Apple Spatial music as they would if used separately? In other words would I still get all the spatial audio cues I do with a single ERA 300 or would they just playback as stereo recordings?
I bought two white Symfonisk Picture Frame Speakers. I want to daisy chain them.Do I buy any cable with a c8 plug on one end and a c7 receptacle on the other? Are there any other requirements for the cable?
My Sonos play:3 is dropping the sound and I am having trouble getting it to play. am trying to reset it to factory setting by unplugging it and plugging it back in while simultaneously holding the play/pause button. Once I plug it it, it flashes white for a short period of time, then alternates flashing between white and amber, but never seems to turn green. how long should it tack to rest to factory settings ? I have a move, one and another play:3 and all work fine.
Hi Eveyone, I have a setup consisting of a Sonos Beam, a Sub Mini, and an ERA 100. I just bought an additional ERA 100 to create a Sound Around system. Everything works correctly over Wi-Fi. However, when I try to connect one of the ERA 100 to my iPhone or Mac via Bluetooth, it's impossible. Before setting up Sound Around, it was possible. I follow the procedure by holding down the Bluetooth button, but nothing happens, I cannot pair the ERA 100 with my laptop or phone. I repeated the operation with my other ERA 100, but it's also impossible. It seems impossible from now to connect a single ERA 100 via bluetooth. Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?Thank you.
I would like some advice about matching my old sonos play 3 speaker unit system to my newly installed era 100 set up
My Play 1 alarm has been set for a week for a radio station to come on. It worked fine all week then chimed one morning and each morning since. It’s connected to the WiFi and plays normally with no issues.
My Play 5 (Gen1) died and I replaced it with an Era 300 which means I had to upgrade my entire system (10 other sonos units) from S1 to S2. I have 2 main issues since upgrade to S1: 1) the various sonos units appear and disappear from the S2 app randomly. They may show up on the Sonos window app and not on the iphone app. They may be playing music but not show up at all on the iphone mobile app. Sometimes I will get them all into a group and then they will de-group themselves. 2) When I do get all the sonos units grouped together and playing a song, the music will randomly drop and then rejoin from different units multiple times during the playing of a song, almost like someone is flicking an on/off switch to various units throughout the house during the song. The S1 setup ran flawlessly for years and I have not changed anything on the wifi/router setup, just updated from S1 to S2.Does anyone have a solution or advise? Thanks!!
So I currently have a Sonos soundbar and sub with two Sonos ones for surround sound. I also have a record player with preamp and powered bookcase speakers (so no need for an amp) If I were to replace the powered speakers with two passive speakers and the Sonos amp, would the amp then be able to cast the sound not just to the two passive speakers but to the whole separate soundbar/sub/one system? Or would I need to connect the soundbar/sub with wires to get this functionality?
So I have a Denon M38DAB cd player, see here;https://www.denon.com/en-gb/product/archive-mini-systems/rcd-m38-dab/800346.html& a Rega Planar 3 turntable. I used to use Wharfdale Diamond 9.1 speakers & the turntable was connected to the CD player via a pre-amp to the aux in sockets. This worked fine but I'm moving the set up to my living room & there just isn't space for the Wharfdale speakers, so I'm thinking of getting an Era 100, but the only way I can think of connecting to the Denon is via the headphone jack on the front with the usb c to 3.5mm adapter. Obviously headphones pick up whatever is playing through the headphone jack, so would the Era 100 work this way? It's not a very elegant solution, but I'm struggling to work it out & one Era 100 is about as far as my budget will stretch right now. Also, even if that will work, if anyone knows of a way to connect the Era 100 to something at the back of the Denon & have it work for both CDs & the vinyl that'd be
When streaming from Deezer tracks are abrubtly cutting out five (5) seconds before they end. This is consistent and not a product of network drop out (network can’t conveniently drop out at random intervals to match track length). Results in 5 seconds dead space as track continues to silently play to the end before the next track begins.Cross fade is off.Noticably worse over the past three (3) months.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.System: 2 x Play1, Play 3, Playbar, Sub & Roam.
I want to give away my old Playbar. So, I want to delete it from my account.
Hello,I‘ve had my Sonos products for a while know and recently changed them to SonosNet. In the beginning everything worked well, but since today I just can‘t connect it to Sonos Net. The box is connected with the cable and I already tried to switch the cables, use a different box to plug the cable in, but it just doesn‘t work. Not even the box with the cable switches to wm:0 and a reboot didn‘t help. I don‘t know how to fix it or why it suddenly doesn‘t work anymore, I didn‘t change a thing. Does anyone have an idea on what I could try next?
I have a new broadband router and supplier today, so all of my Sonos products have gone offline. I have tried to reconnect but none of the Sonos products will accept my WIFI password when it comes to the final connection. I have connected 2 mobile phones, a Mac, a Laptop, a Remarkable and an iPad and the wifi password has worked on every one of them. I ave tried and retried this same password on my Sonos products, I’ve put the password as visible so that I can check and double check it, but it simply will not connect to the network. WTF am I doing wrong?
Hi all!I have in my living room this setup:2 Sonos Five Sonos Amp1 Klipsch active subwooferMy subwoofer is connected to my Amp (there is no speaker connected to the amp)I’ve made a few tests to get the best from this nice setup but I’m a little bit disappointed because I can’t apply a filter on those Five. You know the same that is automatically apply when you connect the Sonos Sub (Gen 3).This low-pass filter allows the Five to give their best!Of course I tried it but bass was not as good as the Klipsch one.I’ve spend a lot of money to buy the Amp only to add my sub and I think it would be logical in my opinion that Sonos offer this software update to customers. What do you think about it?
I have a turntable, line in on a Play 5. I have another turntable, line in, on an Era 300. However, when I play on, it kills the sound on the other. How can I get around this? I also have a Sonos Connect as well. Moderator edit: Changed Sonos Bridge to Sonos Connect (the Connect’s room is called Bridge, but a Sonos Bridge is another device entirely)
Hi, how can we listen to audio from browser on our phones or desktop computers (through Era 100)? I’m on iPhone and Mac M2, if it matters. Sonos app doesn’t seem to allow it.
I have 5 Sonos one sl and try to install with organize wifi network.I sent all sonos one sl’s Mac address for network security permission already but stilled cannot link one sl to my account.Wifi connect already and have internet.
I have a pair of Era 100, they worked very well in the apartment I used to live in. They can connect to wifi and bluetooth. Now I moved to another apartment, where I don’t purchase my own Wifi and routers, the apartment takes care of it. This also means that my Sonos devices are no longer connected to a wifi system in which my phone’s Sonos App can find these devices (it’s one big wifi for all the 600 residents in this building). And somehow because my Sonos app can’t find these speakers, I can’t get them into Bluetooth pairing mode. Does this mean I can’t use these speakers at all?I tried:Resetting. But after white and yellow light flashed, green light started flashing, and no matter how long I pressed both of their Bluetooth buttons, no reactions at all, cannot pair. Also they seem to be not fully resetted. They still remember who they were. Reconnecting. I did manage to connect them with the apartment’s wifi. But they still won’t show up on the Sonos App, and cannot get them into pair
I purchased the ERA 100 speakers and had no problem setting up to my network. Then I purchased the beam sound bar, and when I tried to connect it to my network it keeps saying incorrect password but it's the same password I've used for years and had no problem setting up the speakers. Please help
why can’t I group my SL1 with my Beam? group is greyed out.
So, I’ve run across a number of topics regarding the Sonos Arc dropping audio, but none seem to be quite what we’re encountering, so I hope someone might have some insight here.As background, we’re dealing with a system with a Sonos Arc with two One SL satellites and the sub in the den, an Era 100 in the living room and a Beam in the master bedroom, all are connected via wifi and showing “excellent” connection statuses. Now for the issue. This recently started and is driving me crazy. When we start a playlist from the Sonos app, everything works very well like it should for 15-20 minutes, maybe even a while longer, but eventually the Sonos Arc stops. No error message in the app or any notification there's an issue, the app shows it still playing, but no sound.Sometimes stopping and restarting the playlist is enough to get everything working again for a while. Other times, I have to unplug the Arc, then resume the playlist. Any suggestions?
I have an existing S1 System with several speakers, Play 5/3 and 1I have a new Play 1 (set up on S2) and want to add it to my existing System (S1), and need to downgrade I have followed all the steps.. uploaded the S2 Controller, opted for ‘downgrade’… etc.. and it fails to complete the downgrade.. Have tried several times with no luck All advice welcome…
I am a complete Sonos novice, so I don’t even know if this question makes sense. My current old school setup is a Yamaha stereo receiver connected to a Bose accoustimas subwoofer, with two Bose 301 connected to the subwoofer. The 301s need to be retired. Can I connect 100s to my receiver using the inline adaptor connected to the cd out on my Yamaha receiver, but still keep the Bose subwoofer connected to the receiver to get more bass or would the 100s and the Bose subwoofer be out of synch? Just trying to avoid getting the Sonos mini subwoofer right away. My primary use will be to listen to vinyl through my Fluance turntable that is connected to my Yamaha receiver. I’ll grow my Sonos system over time.
