There are other closed threads for this, most say disable battery saver. And I had been sure to do so.But just now I turned ON battery saver and my roam is happily sitting on the table playing even after 45 minutes off the charger.Go figure!Thought I should share since I was seriously annoyed by shutting down after half hour off base, it was always a mission just to turn it on again too.
I'm considering buying a pair of Sonos Era 100s as the start of a home network. I'd like to be able to start music (i.e. from Spotify or BBC Sounds) without using the app. Is there an option to do this, for example with the touch controls? I'm aware this could be done with voice commands but this isn't my preference. As a comparison, my Bluetooth headphones have a touch command for "Spotify Tap" which starts music without using needing to access an app. Is there such a function or work around with Sonos speakers? Thanks
Hi, I'm trying to update network settings, and the app says it can't update the Sonos One speaker without a factory reset. So, I go through the reset procedure from flashing orange/white while holding the Join button until I get a flashing green.Should that then be complete? The light refuses to change from flashing green to white or, indeed, anything else…...and when I try to resume updating I get the same message that a factory reset is required. Any ideas welcome!
When trying to adjust the distance on surround sound feature, it will not allow you to adjust. It’s not highlighted like normally.
I’m just wondering why I went through the trouble of adding all of my downstairs speakers to a zone, but now I can’t add the sub to any speaker nor to the zone. This seems… silly. Please explain the logic.
Hey everyone,I recently got a Sonos Era 100 and overall I really like it – great bass for the size and a pleasant sound. But I’ve noticed two things: The highs sound a bit muffled compared to the mids and lows, even after running Trueplay. It feels like the left tweeter is slightly weaker than the right, especially when I run left/right channel tests. Has anyone else experienced the same with their Era 100, or is this just my unit / room placement?I have already replaced the model believing it was a hardware issue 😅Thanks in advance for your feedback 🙏
Never fun to wake up one day and find Sonos doesn’t recognize any of your speakers. I have two Play:5 (Gen 1) speakers and two Play:1 speakers and all are running on the S1 app due to the Play:5s.None of them could be found by Sonos. Unlike the S2 App Firewall message, there is no message other than no speakers could be detected. After hours of searching for answers and experimenting, I finally found a process that worked.A shout out to all you IT guys that say “Have you tried turning it off and then back on?”. And by off, they mean unplugged…and by unplugged, they mean for 5 minutes. Unplug Modem and Router. Disconnect the Ethernet cable between Modem and Router. Let them sit for at least 5 minutes. Unplug all speakers Plug in Modem, once completely rebooted, reconnect the Ethernet cable and plug in Router Starting with the Play:5, reset to factory settings by pressing the mute button while then plugging in the unit. Keep mute button depressed until you see the alternating Orang
Sonos desperatly need to employ some specialist back end network connectivity engineers. The amount of time my systems just straught up dissapear from the sonos app just cooks me. Absolutly nothing wrong with my wifi network at all. Everything other device on the wifi works no issue. But sonos just cannot get it right. How difficult is it to get some new firmware out to sort this s*** out. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I’m in search of a longer power cable for my ERA 300’s? Does Sonos sell one?
Is the discontinued sonos one sl compatible with sub 4? If not, is there a sub that is compatible? We have these in the garage and they sound great but I'm looking for a bit more deepness that I can feel.
My cat keeps stepping on the buttons at night and accidentally turning the speaker on. I know someone who covered the buttons with a plastic cap to stop it, but that looks clunky and isn’t really practical. It would be great if there were a true “off” option or a way to lock the controls when I don’t need them.
Wondering about speaker placement (2x Era 100s) in this open concept kitchen / living room. Not pictured in the image below - two stools at the kitchen island that I often eat at.
I have a Sonos ray, Sonos 1 and a Sonos move. When I put on my Sonos Move for music in our conservatory it automatically puts the music through the Sonos ray even though I click the source to be the move. Getting so frustrated. Moderator edit: Changed “roam” to “Move”
Evening all. Have a large Sonos environment started maybe 13 years or so back. It’s been refreshed a time or two and continues to grow. It has in the main, been near flawless in operation. It’s all S2 and most devices not so old.But a problem recent months has prompted some questions which I’m hoping I can get your experience and recommendation on please. We took the view way back that running RJ45 copper to each device was the best way to go. Every device bar an ARC with wireless One’s associated, are hard wired. But I’m now wondering what is the optimum networking configuration for 2025? Discussion today with Sonos support caused me to think that wireless seems be the preference. Or a combination of some wired and some wireless. There was less enthusiasm for wired only. Why do I say this? We I swapped two very old and long in the tooth Netgear 48 port PoE switches out in favour of two brand new high spec managed Netgear switches. The PoE side of things had been failing for some time a
I was wondering if the auxiliary jack cable for the Sonos Ace is compatible with the Era 100, since there is a USB-C to jack adapter but I would also need to add a jack-to-jack cable to connect to my video projector. Thanks in advance for your help
For some reason, my Sonos One lost its connection to my home WiFi network, and it appeared the only way to get it back on was to follow the device reset steps. Once I was again able to connect to it with the controller app, none of my previous settings were there in terms of favorites, music services, playlists, etc. My question is, where are these settings kept? As part of my Sonos account (if so, would have expected them to be remembered) or on the device itself?
Hello, I want to run my computer audio through my Rodecaster Pro II, as I currently do utilizing my Adam A3X powered speakers. But now, I want to use the Sonos era 100 speakers to replace those. Is there a way to connect the era 100’s to the Rodecaster Pro II and use them as my computer speakers (not utilizing the Bluetooth feature of the speakers)?
Hi, can you let me know the best recommended set up to connect an Arc with a PC for listening to video (no TV available unfortunately to connect HDMI-ARC cable) streamed through a PC - eg. SkyGo - I think there are various set ups, but want the best without delay on the video content. Thanks for your help

La bocina no se conecta a puntos de acceso inalámbrico de alta gama, en banda dual 2.4/5 Ghz y con clave WPA2/WPA3. Moderator Note: Google Translate- The speaker does not connect to high-end wireless access points, in dual band 2.4/5 Ghz and with WPA2/WPA3 key.
I have updated the Sonos app on Android which was mandatory and it looks like the EQ is now missing. How can I change the bass and treble settings or can I not do this? Thanks.
Buenos dias tengo una bocina Beam pero dejo de prender y ya hice todo lo que me decian y aun asi no prende que puedo hacer al respecto?
Trying to determine the best place for some rears. I currently have the Arc Ultra plus a sub. Awkward room, I know. Was thinking of placing them on that soffet behind the sofa and running power cables down to the outlets at each corner. I’d rather not have anything on the walls however I have a feeling that’s the recommendation I’ll hear back. Appreciate the guidance in advance.
It was great to have a speaker without a mic
