Am I able to connect multiple speakers to different media sources?  I currently have 1, Play:1 speaker and a bridge but I want to be able to play music through one speaker along with tv audio or other music through another when I buy a second speaker.  Which kind of speaker can i purchase to do this?

I have a Sonos Play 1, and I only have a mobile internet connection. When I purchased, I also bought a WiFi Router so I could set up the Sonos and play music, but this WiFi network is not connected to the internet as I only have through my phone. I researched but couldn't find a way to stream music from my Apple Music and TuneIn accounts to my Sonos at home. My question is, how can I stream music and radio from my phone to my Sonos with only a internet connection from my phone? Hope this makes sense. Thanks everyone

Is this possible to JUST take my PLAY:3 to another house and it will work? Note: My PLAY:3 currently is connected to other sonos devices in my house. So can i temporally have my PLAY:3 on a different network on ITS OWN?

Simple question really.... I'm about to set up a Play:1 and Play:3 and have a few questions. My router is a dual band Trendnet TEW-818 transmitting 3 networks 2.4 (b/g/n legacy devices) , 2.4 (n only IP Cams) and 5(n/ac modern hi-speed devices). My PC and android device both connect on the 5Ghz network. Now I know that SONOS runs on 2.4 (b/g) but when I'm setting up the system do I have also have to put one of the devices also on the 2.4 network? And once setup will I be able to use the the PC and android on 5Ghz and still control the speakers? My router automatically passes traffic between all the networks, for example on my Android I can see all devices on my network both wired and wireless regardless of network. Thanks in advance.

Hi all I've only had my Sonos system for a week or so, but I'm already noticing the very occasional tendency to lose groupings whilst music is playing. The music will continue playing in one zone usually, with the other stopping completely. Is there any known issue? I assume this is not impacted by other network issues as the network is between the players themselves, correct? Everything is otherwise working perfectly, is no reason to suspect a faulty component as yet. Thanks!

When I start up a Zone with an alarm, my Play:1 is at a volume that is way beyond comfortable. Since it is linked in a Zone, it seems there is only one master volume for the alarm in this linked group. I know I can change the level after it turns on, but by then the music is already slamming hard on this Play:1 speaker. I am worried that damage will happen to it in the long run. How can I set the alarm volume lower for this particular Play:1 speaker? For this setup. I do NOT have the option to un-link it and the volume level for the other SONOS devices in this group need to stay where they are. Is there a way I could set a MAX volume setting on a particular speaker?

I have a modest setup of 2 sonos 1 speakers and a nice smart tv from Samsung. Now i know how to get sound from the TV running on sonos; either by buying Connect or a line in equiped sonos 5 or a playbar. Thing is, all of these options are quite expensive and i rather want to try it out first and then do an investment second. My tv however, being a smart tv, is hooked up to my homenetwork, and is in the same network as my sonos. Would it be possible to hook it up via the network? Its a samsung TV.

Silly question here but if I unplug a play1 speaker from my home system and take it with me to our cabin we have rented on vacation will I be able to connect it to their wireless and use the speaker there? Wifi is open. Should then be able to connect and manage with my phone correct? Thanks in advance for any help.

Please can you provide an option to disable the play/pause button on my Play:1 and Play:5. I can't imagine it will take much development time. My cat tends to walk over the Play/Stop button and starts playing the music on my queue, and then for good measure sits on the volume button. I have come home from work to irate neighbours on several occasions - apparently they don't share his taste in music 🙂

good morning. Fist, sorry for my english. I'd need the maximum power consumption of the sonos connect amp, cause I have an specific line 16A 230v only for 6 connect amp, and I found down 2 times in a month. I'd like to know if is for this, or for another reason. Thanks

Every once in a while and with no changes to my internet connection, on opening the Sonos app I get 'Searching for your system' and then the error' Your system cannot be found'. I have to do a factory reset and a reinstallation of my two Play 5s to get it working again. Sonos support is utter crap - has anyone else experienced this issue and have a fix? TIA.

If you are a Verizon Wireless customer you might have noticed this Smart Rewards program they started a while ago and shill on their customer portal. While generally speaking it's an annoying way to get a very small discount on stuff you probably didn't need, they happen to have pretty much the entire Sonos lineup at 20% off retail prices (plus some number of points that you probably already have). Since Sonos stuff is pretty much never discounted as near as I can tell, this seems like a good deal. And a good way to use reward points that you probably would never have used otherwise. Thought I would mention it.

Sonos needs a device that the only purpose is to accept input from any device via mini/rca/optical and add it to the sonos system. I have Sonos Play:1 throughout my house and i cant even send audio to it from my old ipod/ video audio/ etc.&nbsp

I would like to play my sonos loudspeakers in my basement where I don't have any Ethernet. Can I connect one of my loudspeakers to my laptop and listen the music stored on my laptop?

Having a rather small bathroom, kitchen or other rooms in my apartment, I would love to get a Play:0 which should be 25% smaller than the Play:3.

OK. SONOS Headphones that can be selected like a speaker. For instance I am sitting here listening to music that my wife and girlfriend like while I am using my computer. While I can go into another room and listen to some tunes I like I would rather stay here in my comfy chair looking at the lake or other. Another situation. My wife like NCIS, I could care less, but I still want to sit in the TV room and relax and listen to my music! She says go someplace else if I want to listen to music. I would like to suggest that SONOS develop a Headphone that I could select and utilize the same and I do rooms for speakers.

I have a Google Play Music All Access account that I use with my Sonos system. I use it with the Sonos App on my Android phone and I also use it via chromecast with the Play Music android app. I have just purchased a chromebook and thought I would be able to do similar thing within the google play app for chromebook however I can't seem to see a chromecast icon like I do when using the android version. Is it possible to do this via chromebook? If not any chance that this could be looked at. Cheers Scott.

Ok so really fed up with having to use another rubbish app like Sonos to play music. Why can't I just play from either music (apple) or direct from Anazon music app? Cut out the middle man! I want sonos to focus on what they are good at, this is the n0.1 reason why I'm not buying another system.

I  have a playbar, sub, and two play:1 speakers.  I have a new Sony 4k TV and I am trying to watch Netflix in 4K with 5.1 surround.  When I go to About in the Sonos controller I can see it says 5.1 but I am not hearing anything from the play:1s, not sure if I hear the subwoofer.

is there a way to play the TV sound through my playbar and 2 play:1's with full audio instead of it playing surround sound

If i need to temporarily unplug a sonos component that is already configured and working, is there a re-start up procedure, or will it reboot itself when it is plugged back in?

Greetings, I am setting up a whole house SONOS system with two (2) 5.1 setups plus Play 3s in a number of other rooms in a three story house. The only internet service I receive is a lower speed DSL service, but it seems fine for casual internet browsing. I do not intend to pull or stream music from streaming services, but will use my XM radio home dock connected to a CONNECT for music. My question is will my lack of internet bandwidth affect my plan to use SONOS throughout the house? My understanding is internet bandwidth is more important if you are streaming music from streaming services. I intent to use SONOS BOOST to stabilize my SONOS network. SONOS seems a perfect solution to a log home such as this one, difficult, if not impossible to hardwire. Needless to say, setting up a whole house SONOS system is not cheap so I want to make sure or understand how a slower DSL connection might affect the system. Hi All, I have just bought an Onkyo TX-NR626 7.2-Channel Network Audio/Video Receiver (Black) @ Amazon.com and I am planning to buy Sonos system to have it all configured in my apartment, but I am not sure If this would be possible. Am I able to have my receiver playing all my devices and sound been handled by Sonos Connect and its different types of wireless speakers? If I have my Xbox One been used with my receiver, does the sound plays @ the speakers available within Sonos' network created? Let me know how should I proceed. Rgds Marcelo

Hello folks, I don't actually have a problem that needs solving at the moments, and I'd like to try to keep it that way. I am more or less by accident about to become a Sonos user and while I think I have a handle on what I'm doing, the more I read, the more I wonder... I recently upgraded my wireless router (to a Fritz!box 7490), and discovered shortly thereafter that my trusty old internet radio no longer worked. The issue is one of supported wifi encryption standards and is unsolvable. So, I've been shopping for a replacement internet radio, and on a whim looked through the catalogue for my credit card's rewards program. They had, and I have ordered (but not yet received) a Play:1 intended to be used as a stand alone device in the family room connected to either a switch or my router both of which are close by. It would be easiest to plug it into a spare 100 meg port on the switch, but would there be any advantage in shuffling things around so I could plug it int
