I own roughly $2,800 worth of current-generation Sonos hardware:- 9 × Sonos One SL- 1 × Sonos Sub- 1 × Sonos Play:3 All on the same LAN as a self-hosted music server (Navidrome, whichspeaks the Subsonic API). Every one of these speakers is physicallycapable of streaming HTTP audio from that server, and Sonos used tosupport exactly this through the custom music service / SMAPImechanism plus the Sonos Desktop Controller.I would like a supported, first-party way to add my local music serveras a music service on these speakers, without:  - exposing my private music server to the public internet,  - paying for a third-party iOS controller app to do the registration,  - or running discontinued Sonos Desktop Controller software.Here is what I have already tried and why each path is currently blocked:  1. I have a Dining Room/Kitchen room, and open to that is the adjacent Living Room. Currently I have two Sonos Ones paired with an original Sub. I have ordered a Beam 2/mini-sub/2 Era 100’s for the Living Room, which is where the TV is. It is sad that Sonos does not let me share the Sub with Both rooms, but what are you going to do? My guess is that the original room DR/K, which is where I play music from Spotfiy, would benefit most from the Era 100s. If that were true, then I would make that room with the Era 100s and the original Sub. The Beam, for the TV room, would be paired with the mini-Sub and the Ones. Do you think this is sound reasoning? Finally, would it ever be a good idea, musically, to play music to both rooms simultaneously? Each room is about 12’ x 12’

I would like to request a software feature that allows users to quickly switch Era 300 speakers between two configurations:1. Era 300 x2 as a stereo pair for music listening2. Beam / Arc home theater setup with Era 300 x2 as surround speakersMy main use case is music first, movies second.I started with one Era 300 and was very satisfied with the sound. After adding a second Era 300 as a stereo pair, the experience became excellent. Dolby Atmos content is enjoyable and the home theater setup works well for movies and Atmos music. We have an existing Arc which shows up in the voice assistant for Alexa. I’ve set up two new era 100 sl but they aren’t appearing in the voice assistant in settings. It says that if a product is missing, to add it in Settings But where?

Is it possible to install a Beam 2 soundbar at my mother-in-laws home, and still be able to control it with my Sonos app that I use at my residence for my Sonos products? (Of course I would need to be at her home with her own WiFi).In other words, Is there a way to do this with my current Sonos app that I use at my home for my products, so I may go to her residence to and control her Sonos devices, too while I’m there?Thank you.

I have a Sonos Symfonisk (from Ikea). It works on Wi-Fi but not Bluetooth. If I’ll buy a SONOS Era 300 and I ‘ll  connect it to the SYMFONISK, will the system (2 speakers symfonisk +ERA 300) work on Bluetooth? thanks best regards

I am setting up a stereo pair with Sonos One speakers on both my bedside tables. Call them A and B.  As I face my bed, speaker A is on the left and speaker B on the right. But when I am in bed, speaker B is heard on my left and A is heard on the right. I want to use this stereo pair to listen to Binaural Beats, which plays music in a slightly different frequency for each ear. So my question is -do I call speaker B the left and speaker A the right? 

I was playing an app from my IPad and the blue light started blinking. All the sudden the iPad was kicked off and a song from someone else’s device started playing and I couldn’t control it. I reconnected my IPad and it didn’t happen again. please help.

I’m trying to get better sound balance without cluttering the room. Any placement tips that worked well for you?

I just got a Sonos Line-In Adapter which I want to use to attach between the analog line out of a small radio and a laptop. I then want to pass the signal through the laptop to a bluetooth amp.I started out first just trying to get the signal to the laptop and selecting the audio capture device with VLC. I had just one option on the drop down list, hw,0,0.  I selected that and could hear the signal with earphones and it sounded OK.I later ran into some issues making the bluetooth connection and it looks to be an issue with a missing dependency. I tried a number of suggestions and uninstalled and reinstalled some drivers, etc. It still doesn’t connect to the amp via bluetooth.I went back to VLC and the signal from the radio through the Sonos adapter. I noticed two things. First there was lots of static and noise and I could hear the signal, but it was very weak. I also noticed in the drop down box there were two options listed, hw,0,0 and hw1,0. Hi all,I’m looking for a bit of real-world advice before upgrading part of my Sonos setup.I currently have: 2 × Play:1 1 × Play:3 Sonos One Sonos Port Era 300 We’ve recently switched over to Apple Music and are mostly using AirPlay / Apple Music integration alongside the Sonos app.I’m considering replacing the two Play:1s with two Era 100s, and I’m trying to get a feel for whether the upgrade is genuinely worthwhile.A couple of questions I’d really appreciate views on:1. Sound quality:Is the jump in sound quality from Play:1 → Era 100 actually noticeable in day-to-day listening, particularly with Apple Music (lossless / Atmos where applicable)? Or is it more of an incremental improvement?2. System is saying I need to reboot built in speakers and saying no Internet connection.  Sonos roam is working.    how do I reboot my built in speakers? 

No release notes but an update. Can’t see any changes. Now on Build 92.0-73070 on ALL devices. So assume it was just a consolidation of the last update to bring all speakers in line as the Arc and ERAs were on advanced versions. 

I recently Bought a used Sonos playbar on Facebook marketplace and am unable to connect to my PC. I bought optical to HDMI converter and the app doesn't seem to recognize it. I checked the cable and tried others ones regarding the optical and HDMI. I also provided the converter link I’m currently using down below. I also want to note that there is no light coming out of the optical when plugged into the play bar. It seems to be normal because I was able to get my hands a on another playbar and it did the same thing. So now I have no idea what the problem could be and would really appreciated some help on this. Evening all. My father in law has an existing set up in his house on a Vodafone WiFi. It has a playbar and a play 3. All working harmoniously.  He now has a play 1 in his workshop and garage a ways down the property. The house WiFi does not stretch to these outbuildings. He has run a cat cable from the router down to the garage underground into the workshop. And it is connected to a new WiFi extender type thing that emits its own WiFi signal.  The aim, is to have a separate system from this house WiFi on this "new" WiFi signal. My belief is that if he resets the Sonos app, and then creates a new system, he can add his play 1 on this new WiFi network and operate it as a separate system. Ans then switch between the 2 systems once all set up . Is this a good line of thought ?  Attached picture of the device at the other end of his cat 5.  In that photo he has another lead plugged into the play1. Is it better to hard patch or set up wirelessly.Cheers all   

A number of years ago, I set up a 3-speaker system in my living room of Play 1s. This xmas, I treated myself to a new speaker, this time an Era 100. I just opened the box (it’s been busy here) to learn that I can’t pair the Era with the Play speakers. The existing speakers are set up as one L-R pair of Plays and I wanted to pair the new Era 100 with an old Play to make another L-R pair. I probably should have read more carefully before ordering because it says you can only pair like speakers. Since I didn’t know that, I was thinking to return the Era but maybe there’s a way to connect them that I haven’t thought of. I’d appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks. 

Over 10 years, we had a Sonos system set up in our kitchen.  We have 4 in-ceiling speakers, which were wired to a SS20 2 Way parallel speaker Switch system, which was connected to the Sonos Connect Amp 1st generation, which was connected to a computer.  Does anyone whether I should connect a Sonos Amp or Port to the Switch system, so we can access music through the phone?   Probably a very basic system, but any knowledgeable guidance would be appreciated.

For security reasons I want to move all my Internet of Things (IoT) devices, including my Sonos speakers and Arc soundbar, off my main wifi network and onto a guest (vlan) network. Sonos documentation states that Sonos speakers must be on the same network as the device that runs the Sonos controller app. That’s a problem for me, since I want my iPad to be on my main wifi network, not on my IoT network. Is there any way to adjust my router settings so that the Sonos controller app on my iPad can see the Sonos speakers on the IoT network? All my other IoT devices work this way by default. So I’m hoping it is possible for my Sonos speakers too.
