I am thinking of upgrading to the ERA 300 and would like to use it while traveling. My questions are if the bluetooth works well rather than buying a portable bluetooth speaker and, would there be any issues with using it while traveling and then coming home to where it has been set up?Thanks,Alan
Hi there, i recently bought 26 sonos ERA 100. i will need to connect them all together. im not sure on the limitations of this? if i can have them all in one group/room and just link them together so they share the same feed? or if i can have them all individually. all speakers can be mono feed. i read somewhere that 32 sonos one speakers can be in one system. so im hoping its the same for the ERA 100.
Play1 and Play3 working fine on S1 yesterday. Today when I launch S1 and try to play from any service, SirusXM, Spotify etc. a white popup box says I have to reauthorize the service but have to upgrade first. I go into system and choose upgrade. This opens app store to the S2 app. I download and launch S2 and it says all products are incompatible (expcted.) I swipe close both apps and launch S1 again. Again, if I try to play anything on Sirius or Spotify it says I need to reauthorize and upgrade. If I try to reauthorize the option is greyed out as it says I need to upgrade. Amazon Music does play Any ideas how to fix?
I just bought a Sub Mini which is working well with my stereo pair of ERA 100 speakers with one major exception. The touch controls on each ERA 100 do not control the volume of the sub, only the other ERA 100 speaker leaving the sound with either way too much or too little bass depending on if I turned the volume up or down. The volume works correctly using the phone APP which even brings the volume of the Sub Mini back in sync with the 2 ERA 100s.Sonos tech support verified this behavior using the support feature which confirmed the volume was moving in sync using the APP but not when using the touch controls in 2 separate submissions.Sonos Tech support said this is normal behavior but I am a little skeptical of the agent’s response and frequently use the grooved touch volume control. Is the sub’s volume not responding to the volume touch controls on the speakers consistent with other’s experience?Any thoughts or suggestions? ty
Hello there..I’m wondering if I can group a Sonos Roam with two Sonos One and transmit via bluetooth to Roam and the Roam shares the stream to other grouped speakers. In my ongoing frustration to save about £10 a month (I know, but it’s better in my pocket than theirs), I’ve been trying to find a way to play YouTube via my Sonos stereo pair. YouTube are idiots.Their interface is so basic and clunky that I’m not even tempted to spend out on their speaker system....and it MUST be costing them money as people simply won’t spend on a platform that doesn’t work with their systems. If anyone has ideas on how to make this work, I’m all ears.I only have two Sonos One and 6 3rd gen Echo Dots.
I have purchased new Sony TV KD-55X75WL which I wish to connect to Sonos 5 speakerOn my old Sony TV worked well via Line-InThe new TV has Dolby Atmos
Its now 2023, about a year after the previous Arc Gen 2 query was posted and closed, so making a new one. Any news/rumours/updates of an ETA? We thinking by end of this year or most likely 2024?
Are Sonos devices in a surround setup using dedicated wireless connections even if all devices are connected wired via Ethernet and WiFi is disabled in the settings?I am running a Sonos surround setup (arc, sub and two era300). All devices are connected to the home Gigabit network via dedicated Ethernet cables. WiFi is disabled in the Sub and Arc settings. The Eras are connected via Sonos Combo adapter. Everything works fine.Checking the web interface of the surround devices via port 1400 there are no ath0 entries in the ipconfig report. But I am still wondering if there is a wireless connection between the surround devices. Can someone from Sonos give a „official“ answer?
Hi All I have a very quick and simple question: Can I SWITCH OFF the Wifi and Bluetooth PERMANENTLY from my Sonos One? I am keen on using Sonos One connected to my Router via a Ethernet cable and also because I want to reduce the EMF Radiation in my Flat. Thanks in advance N
So how do that?
If anyone is researching purchasing their Sonos Roam, I recommend getting the 3 year extended warranty Sonos offers.I purchased my Sonos Roam kit (2) in April of ‘23 and used them pretty often when outside enjoying the pool. I hadn’t used them recently during the winter months, but I did notice that my roams would disconnect, but still appear like they were playing. Then one day, nothing. I couldn’t reboot them, and they would constantly show an orange led charge light with no other responses.I contacted support and they said the device batteries were depleated and that I can return them for a 30% off coupon. 😆 You would think at least a 50% coupon would be justifiable here … but 30% it is.Luckily I have a credit card where I could submit a warranty extension replacement that covers an additional +1 year over the manufacturers warranty. Now i’ll be able to use my 30% coupon to purchase another set + the 3 year extension.I hope this new set has a better battery life. But hopefully you
I currently listen to my music (ripped from my old CDs) by sending it from iPad or iPhone to my Beam via AirPlay. If I bought an Era 300 and sent the music there instead, would there be a noticeable improvement in quality? Thanks.
I originally posted this in another chat here, but it was the wrong area I think. Let's try this here. So, I have a pair of klipsch aw650s, that I put up outside for summer time. Currently they are inside though, with Sonos AMP connected to the TV, sub, and sonos ones. In this room, right now, I have sub, two fives, two ones, and the klipsch speakers. While sub is good for tv, I want something better for music, I am thinking svs pb3000. I would like to sell the fives and sub, they aren't as loud as the klipsch and I like the sound of the klipsch better. With that said, I would like to get a third party amp, a port, and two new inside speakers. The speakers will be hooked up to the tv with AMP, and the new sub. But I want the port and new amp to power the outdoor speakers when they get hung back up outside. Or the inside speakers I don't really care. I have run wiring for an amp to power the speakers outside, through an exterior wall. I am looking for third party stuff, as $700 for AMP
I took a look at previous conversations in the community pool and it’s been five years since someone suggested Sonos create easier access to the sub controls. In that time the app was updated to S2, and the Sonos sub mini was released. But no effort was made to make access to the controls easier, despite numerous Customers requesting it. It’s strange that even in night mode, the sub isn’t turned off. It’s obviously not appropriate to have loud noises at night especially when you live in an apartment. I don’t see why it takes four clicks to get to the controls just to turn off the sub, Which is something that I find myself having to do at least twice a day. There’s not even a feature to use voice controls to modify the sub. The request for this feature isn’t unreasonable, difficult, or crazy. What’s crazy is that After five years, it’s still an issue.
One side of my surround pair of Sonos One SL lost connection. Tries to repair it without avail. Have since tried the following -1) hard reset the sonos one sl - the white lights continue to blink. I'm confident that the hard reset was done correctly as I have done it before for my sub and the other pair of Sonos one SL withiut any issue.2) Tried wiring the problematic One SL to my router. The white light continues to blink. Tried the hard reset method with the ethernet cables plugged in to but to no avail.May I know if my Sonos 1 SL is faulty?Have only bought it for slightly less than 3 years. Thanks for the advice in advance.
HelloTell me where to find the technical specifications of the speakers? descriptions of what kind of speakers they are, how much power they have, what hertz, I can’t find anything on the Internet except marketing informationinteresting : sub gen 3 and arc
HiI currently have a Playbar, Play:5 (Gen 2) stereo pair and Sub (Gen 2) in my TV room plus a single Play: 3 in my study. I am wanting to add speakers to my kitchen dining room which is medium size. Can I add a second stereo pair of Play:5 (Gen 2) to my system and should I get a second sub? The music quality is more important to me than the TV and movies, hence I don’t think moving the speakers to the kitchen diner and updating the TV room to Arc plus compatible speakers. I don’t watch action type movies, more Romcoms so I think the Atmos might be wasted on me. Happy to be corrected on this though 😊
Does anybody know what is the reason for that out of stock?
Hello,I am just going to buy One SL but would like to ask one thing. When I connect the new One SL only using an Ethernet cable to my network, is it necessary to have Bluetooth switched on on my phone, to use Sonos app to control the speaker? In other words - can I only have Wi-Fi switched on on the phone, to connect to my network and control speaker by app this way?Would you take such a test, please? Thanks in advance!
What equipment replaced the Play 1 speakers?
I have a sonos Era300 which I have been using for Spotify, which is working great as usual. Recenty I also started using Airplay, and found I have quite a delay in audio when using airplay from my Macbook M2. The Macbook is wired to the access point and the Era 300 is placed 2 meters from the access point.I am using a google Wifi Pro setup, with all 3 access points wired to the main one. When i check the Sonos app and the Google home app, both are reporting that the Era300 is using 5GHz.Question 1Is Era300 not capable of using the 6GHz band or am I mistaken by my lack of knowledge about wifi 6e? If so, is there anything I can do to make it use this band? Question 2If it is even possible to get it running on 6GHz, would that possibly solve my issue, or is the delay just a normal artifact of using Airplay?Let me know if more information is needed. Thanks in advance.
I want to listen to what is playing on my laptop on my Sonos Play1 speaker and I can't.When I bought it the only thing they told me was that it worked over Wi-Fi with an application, but I can't find a way to do it. So far I have only used it to listen to Spotify. Can someone help me?
I am giving my Sonos Era speakers (2) to my daughter. How do I deactivate them from me being the owner
I have a number of S1 speakers run from a ZP90 base. The ZP90 has now died and I also know that the ZP90 is now discontinued. I need to get a replacement but I’m not sure what the current best option is. Is there a current compatible replacement? I have no desire to upgrade my speakers etc. I just one my S1s to work again... Thanks in advance.
I have a rack in my laundry room with sonos amp, and it powers 3rd party speakers outside in my gazebo. When I try to connect the Sub to the system, it is pretty unstable, and even when connected - it plays no sound. However if I bring the Sub indoors closer to the laundry room, it works fine. The internet wifi is very strong all around the house and backyard, so it is not struggling for internet.I also have a range extender/router and internet run to the outside gazebo that powers my TV. When I try connecting the ethernet cable to the Sub - still no luck. How can this be? Is the system not supposed to be completely seamless on wifi? And I imagine plugging in the Ethernet as a backup would work, but no luck!Help!
