This may be an odd ask, but is there any way to add my Android speaker to the speakers Sonos has available to connect to? There are times when I'm listening to some music on my Sonos speakers in the living room and want to continue listening when I go out to the backyard, the garage or the bathroom for just a minute, but would like to keep listening. Since I have my phone with me, it would be cool to simply add my phone to the speaker group.Yes, I realize the sound would not be Sonos quality, and that I could take a Move speaker with me, but I don't have one yet, plus it would be inconvenient having to take my phone AND a Move just to quickly check the burgers on the grill or run to the bathroom! 😎 Allowing Sonos to also play over my Android speaker seems like it would solve my dilemma. 

Hi there,I wonder why my Sonos app has difficulty finding the Recently Played stations on my Sonos app for iOS. It shows the spinning ball for a very long time mostly without finding anything. However, sometimes the list shows up immediately (but rarely though).  What can I do?  Any help is appreciated.  kind regards Peter 

Hi, I am using a Sonos beam on my TV. Due to my bad hearing and a long distance between the couch and TV I would like add my Sonos roam to the set up, so I can have the sound closer to me when watching TV.I am able to group the roam and beam temporarily using the app but I neither can I group them permanently through the system setting nor can I use the grouping via the play button. This means I always need to re-group the two via the app in order to watch TV. Why is one button Grouping feature  (https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3391?language=de) not working for TV audio and is there a different work around existing?Thank you

Hi please help. Nothing has changed since November when I switched to BT smart hub 2 with new WiFi disc. Everything was working fine until the last few weeks then the 2 play 1 devices I have started disappearing from the system all the time. I have gone through all the resetting solutions changed WiFi channels to both 1 & 6 ( after switching off smart WiFi). The result is always the same. It works for a few minutes then looses connect and I have to search for the system again and go through the same reboot and checking procedures only to end up with exactly the same result.

Can you switch that light off ?

How do I set up my Sonos Roam to play my music list on my Ionic?

Just got the Beam. It worked fine Day 1 then when I went to use on Day 2, the Fios remote no longer controls the volume. I checked all the settings, did a restart, and tried reprogramming remote with the app with no success.

I was really looking forward to getting the Sonos Roam paired with my Windows bluetooth system but have now spent a couple of hours trying, but only get frustrated.In particular, I got the blue light and went into my Windows systems and ‘added a bluetooth device’ and it then claimed that the Roam had been “connected”.So far so good.The problem is that I can’t get it to play any music or even ‘pair’ audio from my PC.Help--please--this is very frustrating.Vince

Hi,I am new to this community, so am hoping for some advise as I am defining increasing frustrated. I’ll try and summarise the situation the best I can but will advise on my setup first;I have just moved home and the setup of my new network isn’t working. Not all my products appear on my network at one time. I have a mesh network, never had problems before, only difference is I have changed ISP from Sky to BT.When I open the app to try and control the the speakers the speaker isn’t there and then I try the standard on and off trick etc etc. I have the following products;ArcPlay OneX2 Ones Play three Please help I’m becoming very frustrated as it’s currently not working like it used to?ThanksMatt 

I have SONOS play 5 and all of a sudden it  stopped working when i try connecting it through SONOS app.I tried following:restarted  SONOS Restarted Mobile Restarted router Tried different mobile phone Reset the SONOS play 5 and tried reconfiguring it on 2 different routerFinally i connected the SONOS through ethernet cable to my router and i could configure it, but the moment i unplug the ethernet cable it stops working.This seems to be issue with its wireless card where it unable to connect with wifi router.What is the solution for this problem now? Please help.

I always use Alexa to set the volume on my Sonos system (Beam, Sub and 2xOne SL) I usually ask her to confirm the volume once set, but now she is reporting it incorrectly. So if the volume was set to 1 initially and I ask Alexa to set volume to 3 then ask “Alexa, what is the volume for living room?” She will advise that volume is 1, even though it’s set to 3 as she is now louder.Steps I’ve taken to fix:Disable and enable the Sonos skill in the Amazon Alexa App. Removed the Alexa voice service in the Sonos app and added it again too and powered off the Sonos beam. All to no availHowever, what I did notice was Alexa would confirm the correct volume level after enabling the Sonos Skill in the Alexa App or removing and adding the Alexa voice service in the Sonos app, it was only when I asked Alexa to increase the volume and asked her to confirm the volume for Living Room (Sonos Beam name) she would say it was still 1 even after I’d visually checked the volume increase in the Sonos app. Hop

Sonos One/Move integration with Alexa appears to not support the AudioPlayer interface, at least not fully. The Alexa skill, "My Media for Alexa", uses this API to stream music, however, when playing a list of songs, Sonos plays only the first one in loop. Asking Alexa to play next song works, so it seems it is the play from one to another that does not work correctly. I contact Sonos Web support and basically the answer was that Sonos does not support 3rd party Alexa skills. This is well and good but for example Amazon echo support this skill fully. So it would be great that Sonos is looking to fix that as "My Media for Alexa” skill is the only one works fully by using a local music library (the Plex skill is very buggy in comparison). So please Sonos, look into that

Good morning. I have purchased a pair of Sonos Five in white (unfortunately the black ones were not available) with a shipping date of 11 June. The platform has requested authorisation to complete the payment in my bank, however it has not withdrawn the funds for the two speakers. I wanted to know when the payment process will be completed. Is it going to be done any time between now and 11 June or is it only charged when it is shipped. Thank you. 

Up until now I have been able to use my Synology NAS music folder as my Sonos Library. However, I have just upgraded my NAS set up to a model DS220+ and am now, so far, unable to get my Sonos to establish a connection and am getting the dreaded “Unable to add the music share ……. to your music library (900)”.Any suggestions please ?The new NAS uses the btrfs storage system. Could this be my problem ? 

Our current situation is that we own two Play 1’s, a Playbar and a Move. Is there a turntable that we can use to stream to our Sonos without having to jack directly into some amp or something?I’ve seen things like “TRNTBL” but not much info on them and that’s about it.We really just want to stream vinyl to our Move.Any ideas? Thanks. 

I was able to move my Beam to another room/TV.  I have a single Sonos ONE SL speaker I’d like to operate with the Beam as a “group” so I can place the One SL near a chair where the user is sitting.  (This is in a room for an elderly person with poor hearing.)I was able to create “group” with the 2 and that works.  The volume control on the TV remote is tuned to the Beam, but the volume of the One SL can only be controlled through the app.  Is there any way to get the One SL volume to “slave” to the Beam volume control?

Hey Guys, Have a NEW roam. When I charge it the orange LED comes on for about 10 seconds and then goes out. The unit is still charging . Is this normal for the orange LED to go out when charging? Will it turn green when done charging? Im using the USB C that came with the unit and I picked up the Sonos charging brick as well. thanks in advance! 

I have five Sonos speakers and everything worked beautifully until about a month or so ago.  Anytime I want to play any of the music on my iMac hard drive I will get a message that either “music is not encoded properly”, access to music is denied, or if I am able to get something to play it now skips like crazy and is not listenable.  I spent two hours with Sonos tech support rebooting routers, computers, and reconfiguring settings only to get to the point where they will look into it and e-mail me if they come up with a solution.  I reloaded the app and re-indexed the music library and that didn’t fix anything.  BTW, when I play the music from the JRiver software on my computer it has no problems.  Also, when I play music from SiriusXM or Pandora through Sonos there are no problems.I have over 300GB of music on my computer and would love to have the flexibility to play it wherever I want in my house.  Sonos gave me that flexibility until recently.  I really hope this can be resolved a

HelloI need your help :-)I have just acquired a Sonos Five.I have no problem listening Apple music content on it through my Apple Music app or Sonos App.But I would like to use Google Home to control my Sonos.It seems i have successfully connected Google home to my Sonos (using Sonos App / Google Home App / Google Assistant app) since i can use basic functionality of google home to control my Sonos : Stop the music / Resume / Lower the volume / Etc.What i cannot do though is asking google home to play a certain title / band. When i ask “Ok Google, can you play Muse”. He says (in French): Ok. I will play Muse on Apple Music. I will launch Muse on “Living Room” (which is the name I gave to my Sonos). Unfortunately, Apple Music is not available on Sonos Living Room” and then it stops.I do not understand what to do to make it work.Thanks a lot in advance if you can help me!

Every single time I open the Sonos app to play music, the Playlist section is completely missing from the My Sonos page. All I see is Recently Played and Stations. This has been going on for at least 2 months now. There have been several app updates since this issue started, but none of the updates have fixed this problem. The only way to fix it is to shut down the app and restart it. But that needs to be every single time you want to use the app because the fix is temporary. When I go into Edit My Sonos, these are the only options:  How do I fix this?? I swear, this app gets worse and worse with every update.I have never been able to get lock screen controls back after an app update 2 years ago, and no one has ever been able to tell me why I can’t get those controls. I’m using app version 12.2.6

Please let us access to our Spotify's playlists' folders structure in Sonos.I know I can access to my Spotify folders on Spotify and play them on Sonos.But what I can’t do on Spotify is picking a few playlists, drag and drop them in the sonos’ queue and play the songs randomly.Another thing I can do only on Sonos is dragging and dropping some playlists from Spotify and some playlists from my Sonos’ library and play them randomly together.It should be so pleasant to have the confort of browsing through my Spotify folders organisation instead of a mess of all my Spotify playlists unorganised (It’s even not possible to order them alphabeticaly !)Many thanks 

Somehow, my ‘Recently Played’ section under ‘My Sonos’ keeps loading and stays empty. I have tried hard closing the app, turning personalization services off and on, it nothing seems to work.It looks like a lot of people have experienced this issue sooner or later. What causes this and how can I fix it?
