Getting my money’s worth today …. third post 😀Have a sub that I’ve owned since new (think a gen 2) and has worked perfectly to date.But I did a few component move arounds and this one previously doing duty in the kitchen was moved to the hall ….. the kitchen redecoration lent itself to a new Gen 3 in white.Came to connect it up just and it works but dropped in and out on initial playback then dropped out altogether when I moved it to its side. I reset it and added it again upright and seems be working fine now. But I wondered if it was good practice put it on its side or if there was a sensor that cut it out when not upright?Reason to put it on side was purely cosmetic as it fitted under a footstool. That proved to be also a bad idea on a wood floor as the limited time it has sat there, it sustained surface scratches. But surprised it prove be a problem operationally on it’s side …. or am I convincing myself of mixed facts/circumstances?Nothing unusual about the unit save to say that

Does anyone know if Sonos make a case for the Roam? (When travelling with it, a protective case would be really useful)

I understand that using a Sonos Connect to play my turntable to the Sonos Arc is a cheaper than using the Port.  But, will I need a pre-amp to use the Connect or the Port.  My turntable is an older Sherwood turntable.

I am based in the UK and have my Sky Q hdmi output connected to my Hue Synch box, which is then connected to my LG 65inch OLED TV. All is working fine until I plug in my Beam via the eARC HDMI output. Plugging in the Beam causes the synch box to keep crashing. The only way I can use them both together is to have my Beam connected to the optical output from my Sky Q box, losing the Atmos capability. Surely as most of the UK uses Sky we should not be getting this conflict. I am not sure what the Beam is outputting that causes the issue.    

Hi I have 2 NAS drives at home and have connected them to the Sonos. I can see the folders, tracks etc however they will not play through the Sonos app (These are MP3 format). Has anyone come across this and is there a fix?

Hi! I’m trying to add a Connect Amp as surround speakers for Playbase. The problem is that my router is upstairs, i.e. nowhere near these devices. My question is can I wire the Playbase and Connect Amp via Ethernet cables to router 1 that sits downstairs but isn’t connected to the internet AND have the devices use router number 2 upstairs for wifi and Internet access? As far as I know, using the Connect Amp for surround speakers wouldn’t need internet access via the Ethernet cable, just the signal from the TV via TOSLINK. But then I could play music off the Internet via wifi when needed. Is this possible or a pipe dream? =D  

HiI am facing strange issue with DHCP. In my network i have two piholes running as DNS and DHCP server. All clients seems to be ok with this setup except sonos devices (arc, sub and 2 ikeas symfonisk)Devices simply refuses to accept offered ip address. Hello,When using my spotify on Sonos, my music keeps skipping tracks or stopping completely. The strange thing is, if my wife plays the same spotify account on Sonos from her phone, no issue. Only when i press “play” on my phone does the issue occur. If i use “Sonos radio” from my phone, no issue. We have two spotify accounts connected and I have tried toggling between both from my sonos app on my phone without luck.Given the information above, i would think to rule out internet speed/connectivity (since everything works fine on her phone) and also any spotify account issues (since these also work fine from her phone).  Thoughts?

I have a full home Sonance in-ceiling setup. 4 zones each using 1 Connect each. Recently one of those zones stopped functioning properly.The zone has 2 in-ceiling speakers. Max volume has always been limited to 85% so don’t see how it would be a “blown speaker” issue.When I turn the volume all the way up (so 100% of 85%) I can hear music playing very softly on both, almost like it’s at 2% volume.Every other zone is working fine. I disconnected/reconnected the power and outputs from the Connect but that didn’t solve anything.Not sure what to try next. Obviously with the system/speakers being in-ceiling its not going to be easy to follow wire terminations, so hoping it wouldn’t be that.

SiriusXM alarms quit working today. When I try to start a channel none are listed and it shows unable to browse music. Also my SiriusXM account is greyed out when I look at the. diagnostic 1131391212

Hi,Reasonably new to this, so please be patient. 😎I have just upgraded from a Playbar to the Arc, which obviously leaves me with what to do with the Playbar.Where the Arc now is I currently have 2 Play 3’s used as surround sound.However, in the room I am thinking of moving the Playbar to I have two ones.My question is am I better moving the Ones to match up with the Arc so that all the latest items are together, for best sound, or am I best leaving the 3’s where they are as I presume they are more powerful?the next question would then be if I set up the Playbar with the Ones, would that stop them from being able to play in Ulta HD on Amazon music, as the Playbar isn’t up to it?Hope this makes sense

As a family we always have the music on and I think a sonos setup would be great. I was thinking about the sonos one speaker ? I’m weighing up whether getting the latest generation or two older generation sonos ones? any advice greatly appreciated 

Hey, I’m just looking for advice on height audio settings for my room. My ceiling is probably 8-9 feet from the ground and I am seated 8 feet or so from my Sonos ARC. My ARC is 2-2.5 feet from the ground also. Also any advice on how to true tune properly would be appreciated. I watched the video on the app of the lady moving her phone around and videos I’ve found on YouTube vary slightly from how the sonos setup video depicts. Thanks everyone for you’re input in advance.

Hi everyone,I'm facing big problems with dolby surround recently - it seems to be connected to the 14.16 update. My livingroom setup contains a Sonos Amp with 2 Stereo speakers connected and 2 Play:1 as surround speakers. Since today (apparently the auto-update ran earlier this morning) the Dolby Surround output does not work anymore. Sound is only coming through the 2 analog stereo speakers in the front. In the past 5.1 sound was distributed correctly between all speakers (as in the setup there is no "center” the center channel is divided to the two fronts)I did a surround channel test using an XBOX Series X and could confirm that only the 2 front channels are working. When it is supposed to play the center, rear, or sub channel the speakers remain silent. This is only happening for Dolby Digital - the surround test for DTS is working as expected, all channels are active and the center channel is distributed to the two fronts.Additionally, the S2 App shows "Dolby Digital 2.0” as input

Hey, what is the secret to streaming podcasts on a Sonos speaker.  I have added Spotify already and I’m able to play music just fine because songs and/or artists come up in the Sonos app search on the , no problem.  However, if I wanna stream a podcast on my Sonos and do a search in the "podcasts & shows" on my Sonos app none of the podcasts in my Spotify library come up.  What is the secret here?  I used to listen to podcasts on Sonos all of the time. Please advise!

I have 2 Play 5s (first generation) I can use each one separately, or grouped with my Playbar on the S1 app, but when I try to create a stereo pair i get past pressing the volume up button on the left speaker and then geta message saying “There was a problem creating the stereo pair. Please try again”Any ideas what the issue could be? I can’t figure it out as both units work independently and also when in a group, but if i try to group the two 5s together, it doesn’t work.

I disabled the WiFi on amp (since its plugged in ethernet) but when I do this the sub stops working on WiFi.Do both have to be either on WiFi or ethernet in order to work?

Wanting to airplay a video from ipad to my sonos beam which is then connected to a monitor. Does the beam only output audio and no video?

I have 4 Connects (plus a Roam) on my Sonos 2 system. They are connected to my Bose speakers in 4 rooms.The speakers in 3 rooms are working fine, but 1 room is not. It happens to be the large main room on my system, where there are several speakers which are controlled by Bose.All 4 Connects and the Roam show up in “about my Sonos system”.I realize this might be a Bose problem, but I have tried everything on my Bose remote without success, so I thought I would post here first.Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi i’ve been having a problem with my set up for some time now.  I have Sky Q which i watch on a samsung tv. My sonos bean is connected by arc hdmi, and there are 2 play 1’s connected vis the wifi as surround sound.  Often, but not always, when I turn on the TV the sound does not work. Sometimes it will play sound for around 1 second, then go off. Other times, just no sound.  To get it to work I have to turn the TV off and back on, usually a few times - sometimes 8 or more times! Quite frustrating.  Can anyone help with this issue??  Ive read a few similar ish posts and have restarted my equipement, checked TV is on autoplay, and am all up to date.  I have also just swapped the HDMI lead in case that was a problem. Time will tell.  Thanks!
