I just got my Sonos Sub gen 3. At closer inspection the panel gap on the back of the sub differs between 0-2mm. (See images) Is this to be expected? Should it affect the sound in any way? If it’s only cosmetic I can live with it. Even if I’m a bit disappointed with the craftsmanship for such an expensive product

 

Unless there is an air leak, the space variations are cosmetic and have no impact on the sound.

It’s your judgment call with respect to accepting the cosmetics.
