I have just purchased a playbar from marketplace.plugged into my TV via optic, sound works through TV however, volume is stuck on one volume and can only adjust via the app.  The tv remote is compatible with the the playbar however, it just won’t connect. Do I need to use a hdmi-optic converter to go from optic to hdmi in the tv for it to work? This is what I have gathered online however, seems counterintuitive to have to buy an adaptor in order for tv remote to work on tv to playbar?

Can anyone help me play music using the Sonos app?Let me first state this is not a rant post about app. I also have not had many of the app issues many have experienced. I’ve had Sonos for more than 6 years and never had issues (outside the well known/admitted by Sonos ones). I use the Sonos app to control all playback. Occasionally, I’ll use Airplay, and have been to help deal with this bug. The issue started with the latest app update, and basically will not let me play music from any source in the Sonos app. Sonos, Spotify, Apple Music, any service. Conversely, my wife has not updated the app to the latest, and her phone (using my account) works fine to play any service to all speakers, as mine did before the update. I’ve tried all means of sign in/out of accounts, reset passwords, uninstalled and reinstalled apps. What voice commands do you use to connect the speaker in the living room with another speaker in the house 

So this is partly a question, but also a report. I am relatively new to Sonos and I hadn’t experienced any of the issues that have plagued others since the new app came out, until now. The TL;DR is:Sonos speakers all disconnected from Unifi AP when channels were changed. I was eventually able to reconnect them, but received frequent false reports of an incorrect Wi-Fi password. Another channel change disconnected devices again. An Era 100 did not reconnect. Nothing I tried would get it to reconnect until I set a shorter Wi-Fi password.The long version:I recently switched to Unifi and set up my network based on recommendations for Sonos, even though none of my devices can use SonosNet. HelloI received an e-mail from Sonos today about Apple Music lossless support. It says:“Simply stream from Apple Music to a supported Sonos product. Over 100 million songs are available in lossless audio, with resolutions ranging from 16-bit/44.1 kHz (CD quality) up to 24-bit/192 kHz (hi-res)”Does this mean that Sonos has increased its support to 24/192, with Apple Music?Previously, it was limited to 24/48…Thank you

I'm a recent purchaser of Sonos products, after being impressed with them in holiday rentals.My first purchase has been the below:ArcEra 100 x 2Sub Gen4 The interesting, not to mention frustrating, thing I've found is the fact Trueplay is missing from the Arc settings. The Era 100s both show the option to run Trueplay (when not paired as Surrounds with the Arc) but the Arc is completely missing it even when not paired with any other speaker. I've tried the below to rectify this, based on other posts and videos: Rebooted all speakers - issue is still presentUnpaired everything, including the sub - issue is still present Reset the App - issue is still presentCleared all App cache and data - issue is still presentCleared all App cache and data, then uninstalled and reinstalled the App - issue is still presentPaired the Eras back to the Arc - issue is still present but now I obviously cannot Trueplay the Eras as they are in the Arc 'system' I'm using a Samsung S21, I've seen lots of report

Old subject of systems not registering with the annoying “check your network” message.   There is a hint in the “Check the time and date on the unit”    I found out by eliminating all the working SONOS speakers and leaving just the unregistered one, I had to sign in, but finally got past all the Registering failure.   I went to system and  checked TIME and DATE and it said Jan 1 2001 and 12:00     (The default).  I tried to make it update to Internet Time so it would be accurate but it never updates.   My guess is the clock in the speak has a Lithium button battery that has gone dead after 8 years.   And Registration can’t happen if the time is not accurate for some crazy reason.   CS support is useless.  This guy blamed my Internet provider which is the old ruse of years ago.  Now with IPV5 and IPV6 it’s so standard that excuse is like saying it’s your 110V power outlet.   Net Net, the clock is dead and the unit will never register.   I’m going to take mine apart and see if I can upda

New to the group…….so please be kind.  I am keen on buying the Arc Ultra. However I understand the Arc Ultra does NOT support Play 1s as surround speakers.  is there any chance Sonos will change this limitation or is it a technical issue?

How do I set up Amazon voice on the ray speaker?

My questions:What decides whether surround bonding uses 2.4G vs. 5G? Is there any way to control or force to one direction? Are there any other options I have here other than hardwiring all my devices in rooms that have surround bonding?Full context:I’ve been chasing some wireless issues on my home network in my 2.4GHz channel space, I previously had my living room Arc hardwired to my home network, and that was making a SonosNet network for the rest of the home.  Two days ago I unplugged that Arc from my home network, and then all my devices went from WM:0 to WM:1, and everything seemed to work really nice, and the other non-Sonos devices on my 2.4GHz wireless network that were having issues, started working much better. One of my rooms has a Beam 2 with a pair of One SLs as surrounds.  I decided to add a Sub Mini to that room, and now one of the non-Sonos devices that was having 2.4G issues is having issues again.  After Googling, I see online that surround bonding typically uses 5GHz

I have the Sonos app on Windows 10 and 11 systems, and also on an iPad mini. I have added items to the queue via my Windows system, and the first one is playing now. So it works.But when I try to display the queue on the iPad, the window shows “Queue is empty.” Even though it isn’t. This does not change over time; well, several minutes anyway.Is there a way to make the queue appear on the iPad? All apps are S2; and the latest version, as far as I know.

Sonia one has been working for 2 years. Suddenly last week it stopped working. Tried many times to reconnect to the network but it does not work. So frustrating. Tried factory reset and that did not help.  what should I do?  

Hi all, I’ve recently been dabbling with playing local FLAC files stored on a Synology NAS. I can add them to the Sonos App without a hitch, but have found that I can only get my older Symfonisk speakers to play. Newer ERA speakers give a “content is unavailable” error. I can group the Era speakers with the other speakers and they play fine. Also no problem with any of my streaming services. App works well apart from that with no lag. All speakers on wifi.  

Does anyone else have a problem with their home microwave consistently interfering with their Sonos signal?  When we run the microwave for longer than 20 seconds the Sonus signal sporadically drops in and out across all Sonos components/devices (4). As soon as the microwave stops, Sonos comes back on again at all components.We are still using Controller 1 with a mix of old & new Sonos devices. As well, we have three WAP strategically located throughout the house with strong wireless signals throughout. This has been happening ever since we built and moved into the house. We even had our builder replace the microwave unit thinking it was leaking!  No one has a clue as to why and how to solve.      

 I’ve had my Sonos system for over ten years and it’s been a bumpy ride. Glitchy software has occasionally caused problems (and usually when I’d done nothing to change my system.) Today, after updating my operating system, Sonos stopped working again. I’m on a Mac, and updated to OS 15.2.  Sonos wasn’t able to access my music. I did a chat with tech-support which took 20 minutes, and then was told that I needed to do a phone session with remote access to my computer. I then spent more than 2 hours on the phone with your tech support and the guy clearly was out of his depth. Kept moving windows around my desktop and it was obvious that he wasn’t familiar with Mac operating systems. Also, he kept doing the same thing and expecting different results.  He escalated the issue to the level two tech-support people and after another 20 minutes, came back and said that there is no fix. I have a new Samsung Galaxy phone. Phone says Sonos not connected to wifi. Tried Sonos tech support. The guy worked with me to try all different things. All failed. After about a 1/2 hour, he hung up on me. Meanwhile, my old Motorola worked perfectly. Can anyone help?

Dear members, Currently, I own a Sony PS-LX310BT turntable, which already has a built-in preamplifier. At the moment, I don’t have any Sonos speakers yet, but I’d like to achieve the following setup:• In my living room: an Arc, subwoofer, and 2 speakers for surround sound with the TV.• One speaker in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, and one in my office. My turntable is currently located in the living room, but I have the following questions:1. If I use a Sonos Port, can I watch TV with the audio playing through the speakers in the living room, while my wife listens to music from the turntable in other rooms?2. Can I also play the turntable audio through the speakers in the living room while the TV is off?3. Is the Port the best choice for this setup, or are there better options? I also read about the Era 100, which supports Bluetooth. However, I’m unsure whether, if I use the Era 100 during TV viewing, my wife would still be able to listen to the turntable in another room if it’s pai

Jan 19th '25. I used my satellite volume controls and EQ last night whilst watching a film. Today, after an app update they have vanished. This happened a couple of years ago as well and I remember they disappeared for about a week before Sonos sorted it out and they reappeared. Does anyone have the same issue? Or have they just moved them to a silly location that is difficult to find?  

Hi, I have a 4 pieces play 5 gen 1 ( with 2 in stereo, line in on left play 5) livingroom, kitchen 1x play 5, garden 1x play 5.1 x play 3 bathroom, 1x play 3 workingroom. The sound from Turntable on the stereo 5’s in livingroom is ok , but I on All the other devices sound is poor, no sounddepth . would a Sonos Connect( or AMP even with no external speakers attached)  as line in for Turntable be a improvement on sound quality on my devices in the other rooms?

When trying to add a track to a Spotify playlist, the Sonos app shows lists that other people created. I added them to my Spotify playlists, but I can't edit them. It would be great if these "locked" lists didn't show up during the Add To Playlist dialogue. (They don't show in the native Spotify dialogue.) 

I’m using surround sound at home for the first time. I think on some 2.0 video content an attempt is being made to upmix to 5.1 or similar somewhere in my chain of devices but it’s patchy and I would personally rather just have my left and right Era 300s also playing the L and R channels. Is this possible, either through Sonos or from particular devices? I’d consider buying a replacement streaming box that does this.  AppleTV4K ——> LG C4 —(eARC)—> Sonos Arc Ultra/Era 300s/SubMini This is what I’m currently using.
