OK, so I fancy a stereo pair of Fives as my main system, but as far as I know the Five is not Alexa enabled, so if I also have a Move, could I ask Alexa on the Move to play through the Fives? I know I could do this cheaply with an Echo Dot but I fancy a Move anyway, as a portable

Hi everyone,I own a Move. If I buy a Five and plug in a device using the line-in, will I be able to play music from the device in different rooms on both products (or while the Move is in wi-fi range)?I do not want to play in stereo (I've already found that info) but just need to confirm multiple Sonos products will work hope I hope they will. Thanks!

Hi,I am trying to build a 7.1 Home Theater system for my basement.Following is the kind of system I am trying to build (Link at Dolby site). Also see the picture below: I was wondering, if we have an Arc as mid, can we setup a 7.1 through Sonos? Any idea? Moderator note: We updated this article in October 2023 with new information below. With the introduction of the Sonos Arc and the Era 300 we now support Dolby Atmos surround sound. If you want to know more please check out this article on our community or The Ultimate Guide to a Sonos Home Theater on our blog.

I have a SONY 5 CD player with optical out. I connected it to my Sonos Beam with the HDMI Sonos adapter. When I play a CD on the SONY no sound comes out of the Sonos. What else do I need to do? Thank you

Hi -- I have two connect:amps and am interested in upgrading them for the newer amps. For some reason, one of them shows up as upgrade eligible and the other doesn’t. Is there a way to find out why this or, and/or to get my currently non-eligible one added to the upgrade program? Thanks for any help you can offer!

I have always been able to key an IP address in that sonos gave me and that gave me a colour chart representation of how all my speakers are working - that no longer works - I’ve submitted a log - went to Twitter to tweet the support and that’s gone also - anyone any idea how I can view my system info myself ? I’ve just moved my boost hence why I was checking -Thanks

My primarily way to play music on my Sonos system & speakers is using airplay.  I have 9 different rooms setup..  is there a way to play all or create a button to play all rooms with out having to select each room individually.

Hi allI am going to be mounting my LG OLED TV over my fireplace (pellet stove insert).  I have an old Bose 3-2-1 system i’ll be retiring and looking to go to the Sonos Arc for obvious reasons - my main challenge/concern is that space between the mantle where I would need to place the arc and the TV will be very tight due to the space available from mantle to ceiling.  I have read through some of the forums about the required space on either side of the unit - I am wondering if I will be severely limited if I place the arc on the mantle close to the wall so it sits just behind the TV so as not to block the bottom of the TV (as the TV has little to no bevel).  with the bracket, there should be room for the arc to sit just behind the TV - appreciate any advice/suggestions to make this work (or if this an alternate sonos sound bar that may work better with the space I have to work with.

Hello folks!I just ordered an arc + sub to replace my play base. I live in a 1200 sf apartment on the corner of the building and my living room is to the outside so there are 3 walls between my living room and my neighbor next to me (bedroom wall, 2 closet walls, and bathroom wall) I don’t think the sound from the sub will travel through all that at reasonable volumes but I am worried about disturbing my downstairs neighbor. Would an isolation pad under the sub help? Or would that not really do anything because of the force cancelling drivers in the gen 3 sub? Any apartment dwellers with the sub have any insight?

Hi all,From my quick search this question hasn’t been answered in over a year - apologies if I’ve missed the most recent discussion.Has Sonos adapted itself to be a airplay 2 sender yet?Cheers in advance

Hi!  So I suck at setting up home audio. My question may sound elementary for many but I wanted to see if anyone had a solution here.  I own the following Sonos items: (1) Sonos Amp and (2) Sonos Play 1s.I recently purchased a home that has 2 wired outdoor speakers installed.  What I would like to do is setup my living room TV with my Sonos Amp and 2 Sonos Play 1s WHILE also connecting the 2 wired outdoor speakers to the living room amp. What I DO NOT want to happen is when I watch my living room TV for the sound NOT to play on the 2 wired outdoor speakers.  Rather I’d like to operate the outdoor and indoor speakers separately (i.e., music being played outdoors while the basketball game playing indoors) but I’d also like to have the option of playing all rooms together if I were to listen to music.  Hope that makes sense. Is there a way to do this without purchasing more equipment?

I’m a Canadian that has a Qobuz subscription, and recently jumped onboard with SONOS for my multi-room audio setup. I prefer Qobuz over Tidal for sound quality, as well as for their music library. I was frustrated to find that I was unable to connect my SONOS players to my Qobuz account. Qobuz doesn’t even show up on the list of available services to connect to! I know Qobuz isn’t officially available in Canada, but I don’t see why I can’t select it from the list, and log in if I have an active account. Does anybody know a workaround? Would having a VPN solve this problem?

Looking to get the SONOS Arc and Sub. I’m a little confused/concerned about hooking it up to my system. Currently I run the following into my Pioneer receiver:Cox Cable BoxSONOS Port (to stream music into current home theatre speakers)Blue Ray disc playerApple TV The receiver then controls the sounds that are sent into the speakers via wires. As I understand it, setting up the ARC, I would connect the ARC to the HDMI (ARC) connector of the TV. My TV, Pioneer Viera VT30 has just one HDMI (ARC) connection. This requires that I connect the Cox Cable box directly to the TV, presumably to one of the other HDMI connections.Would I then connect the Blue Ray player and the Apple TV directly to the TV? If this is the case, it seems that my receiver would become unnecessary. Thank you for your time to review my questions.

good day all so i just upgraded my PC speaker system.i have a Sonos beam to my asus prime x299 deluxe MB by the optical out (using the sonos optical to HDMI ARC connector) and its working well. i then figure why not get surround sound. so i just got 2 oneSL's. i hooked them up and its not working. they out put sound (extension of the 2.0 sound from the beam) but not true surround. if i fly and play something with dedicated rear channel sound i get nothing.i have gone into the settings in win 10 to see if i could get it to push 5.1 audio. but i cant find anything. is this even possible?? is there a way to get HDMI ARC output from my 2080ti??i want full 5.1, but have yet to order a sub, and probably wont until i figure out how to get surround working. any help would be awesome. cheers,

Will the SYMFONISK remote work with the Arc speaker?

Hi Everyone,I currently own a Sonos Connect and a Booster.I want to add a beam or arc, subwoofer and two speakers for my system.I want to add these products for my TV but also to be able to play my turn table through it.Is the connect I own enough to do this?My turntable is preamp.Thank you,Giacomo

Hi,TLDR; FR: double click group speaker volume to equalize the volumes of all speakers in current group.Super simple feature, after clicking on the volume of my group, it shows the volume bars of all speakers in that group.I often find myself trying to equalize the volume of the separate speakers by hand. When it it showing all volumes of speakers in that group, I would like to be able to double click the volume of the speaker group to automatically equalize the volumes of all speakers in the group to an average (OR the lowest volume of any of the grouped speakers). Thanks in advance for your consideration.

I’m new to the Sonos world.  I have many ”lossless”  FLAC files(from CDs) on an external USB hard drive.  Is there a way for me to connect this directly with the Port to play these music files?  I don’t have an NAS, and would like to avoid using a computer in this chain if at all possible.  Right now, I plug this USB drive into the Blu Ray player and access the drive through the Blu-Ray menu.

I bought a 2nd set of Sonos 1’s for the master bedroom just to play sleep sounds via Amazon Alexa’s app collection...specifically, sounds by SleepJar.  The Sonos speakers will NOT loop the sleep sounds.  I unplugged the Sonos speakers, put an Amazon Echo speaker on the same desk, and the Echo speaker loops all night.  Sonos speakers are fantastic.  But this one problem is very disheartening.  I’ve tried all the so-called solutions that have been posted in the past, including de-registering, uninstalling stuff, and doing it all over again but nothing works.

Hi, I have an unusual setup and somehow cannot get it right.Main setup is a Virgin Hub,2xPlay:1’s and Soundbar connected wirelessly.I then have a Play:1 in the garden office. It did connect wirelessly but constantly drops and disappears. It must be the distance. The office does have a Wired socket at opposite end with a switch connected for 2 laptop to connect.  I tried to plug an old wireless hub into the switch also to act as a bridge.  I connected the office Play:1 into the old hub and now my Sonos system is ONLY the office Play:1, everything else has disappeared. I connected back to main virgin hub wifi and still I only see the office Play:1.Any ideas?

Can I apply the Trade Up 30% discount from a Connect to a Beam or an Arc?

I have read all the posts on having to shut off the bluetooth capability on the Sony side for the remote.  Yes, it gets my x900h remote to control the Playbar, but shuts off my ability to control my Spectrum cable box.   Advice welcome.  Not sure why that happens as the Spectrum box is a IR device as well.   Help :-)

Hi, I’d like to stream my songs directly from the Amazon Music app (the Android one) instead of from the Sonos app without losing the lossless capability that the Sonos and Amazon Music HD integration has on the Sonos app. According to this web page (https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3549?utm_source=owners_newairplay2_128803615&utm_medium=email&utm_content=cta-t2-learnhow_FR&utm_campaign=engagement_control2_178622_1623952&language=fr&et_rid=486898252) it’s written (in French) that we should be able to select our Sonos device from the Amazon Music app but I can’t see it on my Android phone (OnePlus 5T). Thanks,Alexandre

if you get a text message on your phone when playing an internet streaming service like XM or iHeart Radio do you hear the text over the speakers or through the port? If no, is it because the speakers or port is streaming the service direct from the internet and not the phone or is it just because that does not happen when on wifi unlike bluetooth?
