I’m a new owner of two play 1 and i still have a sub Jamo 550 which is in really good condition.So i’m wondering, how i could connect everything together. Should i buy an sonos amp connect or something else? Do you have any idea? Thanks a lot for reading and your answer

I steam a white noise loop at night to help me sleep. However, it stops several time in the middle of the night.I use two methods. I tell Alexa to “play brown noise”. This stops several times at night. I do the same thing in my kids room (which is just an echo dot no Sonos), and it will play nonstop for days if I don't stop it. The second method is playing a track from Spotify. This method will stop once per night. All of this is a fairly new occurrence within the  last few months. My setup is Sonos Play:1 stereo pair connected with Ethernet through a switch individually and linked to an original Amazon echo. The Ethernet is new as of last night, we used to run on wifi, but I'm seeing the same issues persist, regardless of connection.

I just bought a Sonos Beam. I understand I should be able to see the Home theater audio format being played in the S2 app. How can I do that?

After several conversations with Sonos support, I have discovered my Echo Dot is causing interference with the Sonos Connect, which intermittently stops the music and produces error messages such as, “Encoding error...” or “SiriusXM no longer plays Ch. 76...” I had used the Echo Dot for a year without this problem, which began about a month ago. By now I’ve tried changing to the Wired configuration, and making sure the Channel of the 2.4G connection to my cable modem/router is different than the Sonos network channel. Alexa still works with the Sonos speakers. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi Guys. I am new to Sonos and am contemplating buying the Arc.I have two questions:1. When I connect my tv, via arc to a yamaha receiver, it states dolby digital+ when I watch Netflix. Am I correct in think this means I will get dolby digital+ on the Sonos Arc, via arc, if I buy one? My tv does not have earc.2. I would like to know if I can play mp3 files, from my android phone or PC, through the Sonos Arc. If so, how is it done?Please can someone help me as I would like to know these answers before I part with the cash?For anyone who is interested, I am aware my current 5.1 system is probably better but I am looking for a minimal system. I do not have a large movie collection so the lack of Dts support is not an issue.Reviews suggest this is a good option for a stand alone soundbar.Thanks.

Hi all, s1 app on my son’s iphone not showing our sonos devices In the house WHILE all devices show on my S1 app on my iPhone without a problem. I even signed my son into my Sonos account 

Hello all. I have read many posts and am still confused.I currently have an older receiver with a wired center channel and wired front speakers. Is it possible with Sonos products to add 2 wireless rear surround speakers? I would like 5.1 surround sound.Cost is an issue so that's why I don't want to buy all Sonos products.I have read about a delay, some people saying it would exist with this setup, others saying no it doesnt. I appreciate the help.

I have a sonos playbar and 2 x sonos 1’s in my living room, a play 5 in my kitchen and a play 3 in my bedroom. For some reason (I’m guessing software) my play 3 has just stopped working with my other sonos products. It shows within the app but I can’t group it with my other sonos products. If I’ve turned power off and on again to it, it plays 1-2 seconds of music then nothing after. I’ve tried radio via the tune in app and music from Spotify. It’s the same either way.

Setup is 2x play:5 Gen2’s and a Sub Gen2. System is named “living room” and used to stream music from Spotify.  Since updating to the new S2 app, when I went directly into Spotify app as normal the living room was missing from devices to play through. So I went into the sonos app to find the right speaker was showing “not configured”.  I tried following the app in find missing devices but it wouldn’t sort the issue. Tried rebooting the full system, also the WiFi rooter but still not working.  I have now done a full factory reset on both play:5’s and the sub. When I set the first speaker up there is no problem, when I go to set the second speaker up I had a problem trying to get it to stereo pair, it eventually did but then immediately says it’s not configured. The sub says not configured but I’m presuming that’s because I don’t have a stereo pair? I’m loosing the will, any help would be appreciated.    Regards Dale

with the upgrade from S1 to S2 controller app on Mac OS, the Sonos app stops when the computer goes into sleep mode.  This never happened with S1.  How can this be resolved?

I just got a used sonos system yesterday and I am very, very, very disappointed to get drop outs listening to spotify. I have spent much of today reading forums and trying everything common.   I have a play 1 and a play 5, both on SonosNet. No wifi. I have a bridge placed in the middle with 3 meters line of sight distance from each speaker. The sones bridge is connected to wired 1 Gbit network with ethernet cable. My SonosNet is on channel 6 and my wifi is on channel 11. I can see weak neighbour networks at channel 1 and 6. Weaker on 6 than on 1.     I have submitted diagnostics with number 1961205556   I can see that the network is weak, but WHY - it is 3 METERs in clear line of sight. I have 5 meters clear line of sight between play 1 and 5 as an alternative. I can’t (and won’t) run wires. It doesn’t seem reasonable.  

I have a Samsung QE65Q7FNA TV and a Sonos Arc soundbar. When connected via HDMI-ARC it works for a while but then the soundbar stops being the audio output and the TV reverts to its speaker.  If I use optical connection instead this doesn’t happen but then cannot control the volume with the Samsung remote because it is not an IR remote.  From what I’ve read in other threads, this is a known issue for certain Samsung TVs and the Sonos Arc. Does anyone have any updates or suggestions?

I’m using the Sonos 1 app on a Catalina 10.15.7 Mac. It was working perfectly until I (intentionally) erased everything and added it back fresh. Now I’m getting an error “Unable to Play “song name.mp3” access to //Macname/Music denied.”I am running Bitdefender and gave Sonos access to my music files, and in macOS preferences I gave Sonos 1 full disk access.Any other thoughts?

I am new to Sonos and bought an Arc with two speakers for the TV in lounge. However, I am trying out the Sonos One and Sonos One SL in the kitchen and they are fabulous. My issue is that Alexa was working fine with the One but then I paired it with the SL and it has stopped working.The shop told me I could pair them and still use voice assistant. Help, please.

I have a large room and want to use the Echo as an additional speaker.  Can it be used as a 3rd “Sonos” speaker to boost the Echo 1’s I already have?

Hello,I recently bought a Sonos Beam and two Sonos ones as surround speakers.The beam is connected to my Sony Bravia ATV3 via the ARC HDMI port and my Fetch TV is connected via HDMI port 2 If I play YouTube or Netflix straight from Sony TV, I get surround sound via the Sonos. However,  if I try to play the same content now via the Fetch TV device,the content only plays on the beam speaker. There is no surround sound from the Sonos Ones. The Fetch box has dolby 5.1 enabled on its audio settings but doesn't play its content via the TV to sonos in surround.I have also tried to get the Sonos beam connected via the optical connection to the TV but that didn't make any difference. I was told that the HDMI via ARC offers the best sound for the beam /Sonos One.Do you have some advice on how to the Fetch TV box working in surround sound? 

I emailed Sonos with details of an error at the weekend - got a message promising a reply within 24 hours but have heard nothing - so though I would try here. In the past few week Spotify (Premium Family members) has become completely redundant on our Sonos system.  None of us are able to play any Spotify tracks on Sonos - either from the Spotify app or from the Sonos Controller app. We have been through all of the suggestions (rebooting, removing Sonos, removing Spotify, checking Wi-Fi connection etc) and nothing has fixed it. We can stream from our Music Library to all devices (so we assume wi-fi is working fine ) and we can stream internet radio stations (so we assume Sonos has internet connection). I have submitted support diagnostics reference 1445143747. Any suggestions much appreciated

I haven’t seen anything on the community about the sound quality of two moves being used in a stereo pair and would like to know how they pair matches up to a play:5. I recently purchased two One SLs as a stereo pair and I love how the stereo separation sounds. I’m looking to expand my system to add speakers to my bedroom and main room of my apartment.    My options as of now are either are getting a stereo pair of Sonos moves to move between the two rooms as needed or to get a play:5 for the main room and the move for my bedroom and to bring out as needed. I definitely want to get one move to use as an outdoor speaker as needed.    

I have already connected to the 2.4GHZ network by mistake when I got my new router. I would like to change that to the 5GHZ network with the same password. HOW DO I DO THAT?

We use our three Sonos systems in our restaurant and during shifts it keeps cutting out or failing to connect. We have tried resetting the Sonos and we still have the same issue, it has been going on for months and hasnt connexted smoothly in months. There are mutiple phones connect to the system as all the staff members have the app but only, one person yses the app at a time. Why does this issue keep happening and is there anyway to solve this issue? 

For the last two days I have been unable to access SiriusXM on my iPhone. It also happened a few days ago for most of the day but it came back up. I found topics covering with the same issue from a year or more ago but nothing current. I tried the solutions that were suggested in these historical topics but none worked. It also happened a few days ago for most of the day but it came back up the following day. The SONOS status shows that SiriusXM is working but not for me.Anyone else having this issue currently and any suggestions as to a solution? Thank you.

Cannot add to queue from Nas drive share 

I’ve had my Beam for several months, and it had been working flawlessly….until 4/3/20. Now I cannot get it to stay connected to my tv. I’ve tried factory resets on both the Beam and the television, I’ve tried different cables, and I’ve even tried running the sound through the supplied digital audio dongle. I can get the Beam to connect to the tv, but as soon as I plug in the other HDMI cables (one for my FIreStick, and the other for my PS4 Pro), sound disappears, until I unplug the HDMI ARC cable from the back of the tv, and sound comes from the tv speaker. The Beam itself sounds fine and will play streamed music; it just no longer stays connected to the tv unless nothing else is plugged in. Also worth noting: initially, it was connected through my FireStick, because it controls our entire system, minus the PS4. But, now I cannot even get the Beam to connect to the FireStick. I’m unsure whether this is a Samsung tv issue, a Beam issue, or a FireStick issue.
