I am located in the USA and I get the error saying its not available however a few days prior it would allow me to add the service but I never completed the setup. Am I missing something here? Don't see a location or language setting that would now cause this error.

I have a pair of One SLs wall mounted in a smallish sIzed bedroom configured in stereo for use with Apple Music and Airplaying from phones.  They sound great but I feel like a Sub might help give a fuller sound.  Would the Sub be overkill?  Can the sub be configured to work with the two SLs in a 2.1 setup?  Cheers.

For years i have enjoyed access to radio all over the world and yet recently I am advised that my access is restricted and I now need to log onto Radio Denon.com to access the radio stations. On so doing, I am requested to pay a fee. Anybody know why this is the case?

Hi - I recently purchased a SONOS One SL to use as a computer monitor. The problem is that my iMac (2019 model, macOS Catalina 10.15.4) keeps reverting to the internal speaker and I have to reacquire the SONOS. It is annoying. Has anyone found a way to permanently keep the SONOS speaker connected? I have tried setting it to the SONOS in Settings, and it keeps changing back when there is no sound. I asked support, and they told me that it is the operating system, which they did not write, which I pretty much knew already. 

I’m working with 8 Sonos Connect devices, plugged into a managed switch. The Sonos devices are daisy-chained in a pair of four. Meaning they’re only 2 total network cables connecting to the switch. I quickly learned about the issues w/ STP/Broadcast storms after having plugged more than 1 of these devices into the network. I was able to find a helpful document on configuring STP on the Dell switch to accommodate this. Even so, I ended up plugging in a small, unmanaged switch solely for these two Sonos connections, and a downlink connection from the unmanaged switch to the Dell PowerConnect. This seems to have alleviated the issue with STP. Here are some questions I’d love answered, if some of you can spread the knowledge. What is the exact, technical reason plugging two Sonos connects into a managed switch leads to a broadcast/STP issue? Today my Play:3 died with the unpleasant smell of crispy electronics. Since it’s well out of warranty, I thought I’d have a look and found that the PSU had suffered the fate of many-a Play:3 with an exploding capacitor. Looks like mine has destroyed the tracks around about it and given Sonos have done nothing despite knowing about a large number of identical failures, and the latest dropping of “old” kit, I’ll be getting rid of all my Sonos gear and replacing it with reliable kit from someone else. Extremely disappointed.  Anyone got any recommendations for who to look at? Preferably a company that cares about its install base of course.

Hello,   Is there any word on when there will be a successor to the Playbar / Playbase (ie a Playbar 2.0)?    I’ve recently begun enjoying a Beam and was doing a lot of comparison shopping before hand. It seems the Playbar is woefully out of date in terms of technology (No HDMI port? No Apple Airplay compatibility? It’s 2020 now...)  I understand by all accounts that the Playbar sounds nice. But all Sonos products sound nice! I’d love to have something a bit more substantial for my home theatre setup than the Beam, but I’m really struggling to see the cost justification. So does anyone know of any new generation or new product line coming down the pipe?   Thanks   James

Simple question;   Will it still be possible to use the old Amp for driving rears together with a new AMP when the legacy-split is effected or will the old amp then “hold back” all of my new speakers?   I will have all my amps located in an AVR-cabinet so could save a lot  if I could buy 1 new AMP for fronts and supplement with buying a used Connect Amp for rears which sells at around 1/5 of the cost of the new Amp.    Probably a long-shot but understanding is that the AMP driving the fronts defines the group so I wanted to check.

I’d like to add to my system and torn between the price difference.  the living room is 15’x30’ (typical), we have the TV and Playbar in the corner.  I’d like to add two more speakers.  If I can get away with purchasing a One and One SL - I want to do that.  However, the ceiling speakers look really clean, but at that price - is the quality really so much better or is the higher price just covering the style of being in the ceiling - I’m assuming the higher price with the amp produces a way more awesome sound. Can someone provide thoughts on the difference in sound between the two when added to a Playbar? How about Ceiling speakers compared to One/One SL/Sub - what group is a better sound?

hello   i am getting the unable to browse music message whenever i try and search for an artist or album from the sonos app or my pc.   i have removed and relinked amazon music many times and nothing works.    any ideas

Hiya all, I have a CR200 that I have not used in ages but with the coming May2020 S1/S2 split date, I am keen to get my CR200 reconnected to my system so I have this legacy gem in a working state before it’s too late.   My system software version is v11 and the controller will not connect. I have seen all of old history on here where downgrades are required etc before upgrading with the CR200 connected. My questions to the community are as follows;   I would like to know the latest sonos software version known to work with the CR200. (assuming the CR200 was connected long ago). So please fellow Sonos users, if you could reply with a simple “mine is running today on system software xxx” it would be greatly appreciated so I can work out what version I will cap out at when I get my beloved controller connected.   Cheers for your contribution and please stay sae in the COVID era. How to stream from PC/Windows 10 to Sonos?

Hello, on my first account I have a Sonos One and a Play:1. On my second account I have nothing. How do I remove the Sonos One from the first account and transfer it to the second one. I’m mostly having troubles with removing the speaker from the first account .  Thanks

This is not resolved as I have seen many topics closed out, maybe just worded different but when I called in on Thursday 4.9 I was told “we are aware of the issue and there is no current fix”. I can play songs from Amazon music in Sonos no problem, but as soon as I add them to my Sonos Playlist and try to listen to them,  I get the dreaded “song not encoded correctly” error message. Diagnostics  1735251149.

Having just received my first Sonos set up (Playbase, Sub & 2 Ones), I am now thinking about linking in my old turntable. I won’t use it often and would be happy with a used Connect to do this. However, on the S2 overview page, it says 1st Gen Connect wont be compatible with the S2 App. Is there an obvious external way to tell the 1st & 2nd Gen Connects apart . Looking at various eBay listings, some have a mute button, others have a play/pause button. Is this a reliable way to differentiate the two, or not? I don’t want to end up buying something that prevents me using the S2 App once available.  Any input much appreciated.

Is there an easy way to click a checkbox and “Play Local” on the PC via the Windows Sonos App, so that I can play through the PC speakers with synchronized playback on my Sonos devices? The only way I have seen to do something similar is via either: Purchasing Sonos “Port” product - hardware rube goldberg contraption, costs money, introduces lag. Or, With a software workaround like “Stream What You Hear”” - software rube goldberg, free, loss of sound quality, introduces lag, can’t use Sonos app for source selection There are a bunch of benefits of being able to do this directly within the Sonos app rather than via workarounds, and it feels like a really simple thing. Possible?

 I see Sonos is now offering a return label for returning old equipment as part of the upgrade program. I upgraded two components earlier this year but at the time was either not sent or not aware of this service. How can i get two return labels for the old components? thanks  

Looking to start playing vinyl over my Sonos speakers. I have; Play:5 (Gen1) and Play:3, (potentially looking to upgrade both).  Looking for someone to help with the below / confirm my understanding.  If I plug in record player (with Phono preamp built in), directly to the Play:5, will this also allow it to stream through the Play:3 (and potentially Sonos One if I add) What is the benefit in connecting the record player to the Port rather than Play:5? (other than allowing to connect to 3rd party speakers, if record player has Phono preamp built in??). I assume it means the the Sonos speakers can be located away from the record player without anything lined in (other than power)?  The Amp vs Port would only be needed if record player doesn't have Phono preamp built in?    On a separate note, I have a Bridge and have done for a number of years. What was / is the function of this? This allowed internet to “go to” the speakers? Is it still required?    Thanks in advance!   

Anyone have any experience with utilizing sonos one speakers outside under an awning?

Hi everyone,   I've been searching online for days about this and I have yet to find any instructions.  How do you add multiple Spotify accounts to your Sonos system? (Android) Every time I go to add a new account it gives me an error message of “Spotify account is already set up on your Sonos. I have Airplayed from iTunes/Apple Music from my MacBook to my Sonos system ever since I got the system two years ago. Suddenly when I stream from what is now Apple Music (formerly iTunes), the sound is slightly muffled, and there is this playing-in-a-cave sound… kind of like bad live audio. This problem does NOT exist during TV use, nor does it show up if I stream from Apple Music on my iPhone. On top of that, I can stream, say, a YouTube video from my MacBook using Airplay, and the sound is good there as well. In other words, I’ve isolated the situation, and it’s unique to streaming to Music. Other than the muted, distant sound, if the surrounds and sub are turned off, the Beam sounds kind of crackly, and close listen sometimes finds no music coming from parts of the Beam. Either way, it’s all muted and flat sounding. Normally I could use my Beam as a stereo unto itself, just not nearly as superb as the full system.  Anyhow, does anyone have any ideas on this? Like many of us, one reason I want Alexa on my Sonos is to get easy access to their vast range of radio programmes. The main way to do this now seems to be via the BBC Skill.  But there are problems, for instance:  Suppose I listen to the 6 o’clock news on 10th January, but don’t finish.  Then I ask for the 6 o’clock news on 11th January.  It will resume the episode from the 10th, i.e. one day out of date, without any means of moving to the next episode. The skill notes say that I should be able to move to the next episode, fast foward within an episode, and so on, by saying “Alexa, ask the BBC to … fast forward”, etc, but in fact all such instructions are met with, “I can’t do that”. A little Googling suggests that these problems are widespread.  It does seem incredible that, given the state of the art, we still can’t reliably and easily access to the desired episode of the desired BBC radio programme, but we can’t -- though I don’t know whether to blame Amazon, the BBC, or Sonos.
