This is a bit complicated: I have tried several times to link my Sonos One speaker pair to Google Assistant. I’ve tried in a couple of different ways: From the SONOS App, and when that failed from my google home app. In both cases I eventually ran into a notification screen stating I need to register my speakers. As far as I remember my speakers are registered, and the app and speakers are working fine. I followed the directions that popped up, stating to go to account settings to register speakers, and that if I cannot I need to perform an update. I went to account settings and did not find a way to register my speakers, so I attempted an update but the app is already up to date.

Hi. I currently have a generation one play5 and play1. They are in different rooms but are grouped. I am looking to replace the play1 with an Amazon Alexa enabled generation 2 play 1. Will I still be able to group the two so they play as a pair? Don’t want to buy it and then find out that they cannot work together.

Hi Sonos. I've had a pair of Play:5 gen. 2 for a month or so and it has been working flawlessly as stereo speakers in my living room. However, tonight all of a sudden the right side speaker didn't play - it did earlier this morning. Thus, I "dis-paired" the speakers and tried to set up the right side player again. Which failed. So I reset it to factory default. Then it seemed like it was working properly: The light flashed green. So I went on to set up the Play:5 Gen 2 as a new speaker: I went to settings, tapped add player, logged in, made sure the player was powered (still green light flashing), selected Play5 Gen 2 from the drop down menu, pressed the connect button, heard the sound, and then.. instead of turning white the player's light turned orange (at first flashing with some red flashing occasionally, and eventually SOLID ORANGE). I have been using a number of amazon echos for the past few years. Currently I'm planning a major renovation and want to integrate sonos into the new home setup. I plan to have ceiling speakers in kitchen/diner and living room with a beam and a playbase in another room. My questions are around the integration with Alexa. in order for this to be a success, it needs to work for everyone i n the family, not just me, the techie. If I have ceiling speakers connected to a sonos amp, I need an alexa device to control them. Are there benefits to using a sonos one over an echo dot or echo show? Can I control the volume for the entire room from the sonos one or the echo dot by pressing the physical buttons, or do I have to use voice commands? When I speak to the echo dot, will alexa respond through the echo dot speaker, or the 'room' speakers (sonos+echo)? Thanks!

Currently using a Play 1 as my single wired speaker but was wondering if it would be better performance wise to set up a boost instead? The Play1 links to the other Play1 and Play5 via Sonos net. Just not sure if the guts of the boost would be the same as what's inside the Play1 or better?

Is there a way to control Sonos room groupings via assistant? Understood you can’t group google groups with Sonos groups. In my case I am strictly interested in controlling Sonos groups. I have common groupings id like to configure. Instead of setting them up manually I’d love a way of setting these groups up on command

When I ask Alexa to play music on my Sonos one, it says “Playing Elton John (for example) on Spotify. Sorry that device is offline” but it isn’t...I can play Spotify from the Sonos app but not via Alexa. It’s worked fine up until today and I’ve changed nothing. Any ideas?

I currently have a PlayBar, Sub, and 2 Play1s configured in surround mode. I am moving to a new home soon that has 4 ceiling mounted speakers that seem to terminate in a built-in cabinet below where the TV will be mounted. I'm wondering how to best utilize those speakers in a new configuration. Should I get a new Sonos Amp to drive those and let them "replace" the Play1s (if that can even be configured that way)? Could the Sonos Amp live in a cabinet without any problems with heat? I'd appreciate any advice the community can provide. Tony

I just got three Sonos One's and setup them up. Each one is in a different room and will be controlled independently. I tested out trying to use Alexa to start playing from Spotify. I discovered that you can only have one Sonos One playing from Spotify at any given time. The only option I found to be able to play three independent streams was to start the music from the Sonos App. Is there anyway to use Alexa to start three independent streams? Without that, there really is no point having the Sonos Ones. This feels extremely limited since I can only have one stream on at a time when using Alexa.

I would like to store my music library on the Fire 7 tablet. Can I then use this to link my Sonos app to the music library? I currently have a PC but I would like to replace it with something that takes less space!

I’m hoping someone can give me some advice. I recently purchased 4 Tic GS5 speakers and 1 Tic GS50 sub, that I plan to power with a Sonos Amp. The Sonos Amp is 125w/Ch at 8 Ohms with 2 Channels. What is the Beam’s IR profile number?

I have a Boost installed, it created a network which I was able to see it and connect to it through my mobile devices. I am no longer able to see the boost network although the Boost is properly connected. Also, there an option in the app to activate this network I also no longer see the option.

Is there any way to Reorder Music Sources, so that my most used are at the top and I don't have to go through the whole list of music services to get to my TV source? If not, please consider this a feature request. Thanks,

I have a Onkyo receiver pushing my 5.1 surround in my living room and Sonos Amp pushing my 6 channel zone 2 through speaker selector. My center channel sucks in my living room and was hoping to add the Beam. I stream tv mostly through YoutubeTV so that is only stereo. If if I hook up Beam to my TV optical out on my TV could I use that but also use the receiver for surround at the same time (when not only stereo feed)? THANK YOU!

Since a few days ago my Alexa will not work on Sonos. So I unlinked my account and now I can't link it back together. I keep getting "Oops! Amazon can not connect to Sonos" I have tried signing out of all Amazon apps/products and my email addresses are both the same. Nothing is working and I'm really starting to get frustrated and mad here. Anyone know what else to do or try?

Installed Google Assistant. Right speaker microphone light is out and button unresponsive. Google assistant only active on left speaker. Meanwhile, music (I use Apple Music) works fine both speakers + sub. Ideas? Thank you.

Hi, I have a very basic setup with a Project 2 Turntable, a Cambridge Audio Pre-amp, an older style Connect Amp and some third party Quad speakers. I simply want to use the AMP to power my turntable and play through the speakers but can't seem to get any sound despite having followed the official guide. Can anyone suggest anything? I am using the 'Line in' mode on the app and I can see soundbars going up and down as if it's receiving the signal but no sound through my speakers at all. I've attached some photos of my setup. The other Cambridge Amp in the photo is redundant. Hello, I’m searching for a 4K Ultra HD blu ray player THAT SUPPORT BOTH HDR10 AND DOLBY VISION that can convert DTS audio to Dolby Digital 5.1 on the fly. Now I’m using the Xbox One X that can convert audio correctly, but that support HDR10 only. For sure I L le that new LG UP970 that can manage Dolby Vision, cannot convert audio. I have an ASUS router (RT-AC88U) with both wired and wireless speaker connections. I have an ASUS repeater (RP-AC68U) connected (wireless) to the router. Finally i have one speaker that is hard wired to the repeater. Everything works great. I can group all of the speakers if I want. I can control the music anywhere on the network.
