I have my TV in a large, echoing room. For sound I use a Sonos Amp connected to four in ceiling speakers and a Sonos Sub. The sound is decent when turned up, but dialog is tough to understand unless very loud. I have a table behind my couch. I bought some Play:1’s to use with the Amp so I could hear dialog. Unfortunately, when in surround mode they do not produce dialog. Is there a way to use these as a center channel to hear mainly dialog? I tried using them in a group with the Amp and it was difficult to control volume appropriately. Is it possible to use any Sonos speaker as a center channel besides the sound bars? Any other suggestions? Thank you.

Hi, My iPad Air 2 (Sonos v10.1) has unexpectedly stopped connecting to my network - "You need to be connected to a wireless network to use Sonos. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi on your device". My iPhone, iPod, iMac and a second iPad running also Sonos App v10.1 can connect fine. I have tried doing a software update but none is available so I assume 10.1 is the newest version. All devices are on the same network. I do have a network extender which uses a similar network name to my main router, with the addition of _EXT to the main one's name. I can't submit diagnostics I think, because I can't open the app fully. Thanks, Ben

Can I ask Alexa on Sono One to play the sound currently on my playbase that is tv audio? I saw in another forum Alexa doesn't understand grouping.

Trying to set up the Alexa voice control in the sonos app But keeps saying Alexa Problem adding, have followed all the forums and a lot of people have had same issue, have re set up deleted apps made new accounts change time zones and tried every thing. With Netflix recently dropping airplay support, is it now no longer possible to play Netflix audio on the Sonos One while still retaining the video on a device like an IPad?

Having an issue where whenever I try to play something on Spotify on Sonos using Alexa, it's just coming up with 'To link your Spotify, please add a premium account in the Alexa app' even though I have already done this. When I try to play Spotify using just the Echo dot it's playing fine - just doing this when I want it to play on the Sonos! Anyone have any ideas? Thank you :)

Is the Alexa dot compatible with Sonos system? Can you play your Spotify music on Sonos via Alexa dot? Or do I need the Alexa spot? And does someone know if Alexa can create a shopping list for example and send it to your iPhone? Thanks a lot I'm so lost!

Does the CONNECT Amp need to be hard wired to network with ethernet cable or can it access network via wifi (as the Sonos One does)?

Presently, I have four outdoor speakers (MARINER 54 B) wired in parallel. Per the speaker specifications, they are rated at 60 watts maximum. Currently, I have a Sonos Connect:Amp hooked up to them; however, I was curious if I could go up to new AMP to push my volume or would that be blown speakers waiting to happen? From what I have read the parallel configuration might effectively push more wattage due to lowered impedance of speakers in parallel? Just looking for the right answer prior to pulling the trigger on the new Amp.

Hi Sonos Community, I have trouble using Siri on my phone to with Sonos Beam. In a few videos I've seen that you can tell Siri, "play music in 'Name of Beam'. " However, Siri responds, "Sorry can't find that speaker". I am using the only name listed in the Sonos App, AirPlay2, and Homekit. They each have the same name. Can someone tell me what I could do to make this feature work? Luis

Here in the uk I can now add Apple Music as the default music service on the Alexa app. However when I ask my sonos beam to play music it still uses amazon music. It says it can’t use Apple Music if I specifically ask to play on Apple Music. Both the Alexa app and the sonos app are linked to the same Apple Music account. What am I doing wrong?!

The SONOS app on my iPad is suddenly not working. Says the software on my device is outdated. When I check my iPad Settings it tells me my device is up to date. Please tell me this is not some coordinated effort between Apple and SONOS to get owners to buy new devices at their will. If it is I will be selling off all of my SONOS product.

I have a good Sonos setup and love it to bits. I rarely have any problems. I love it being connected to my home theatre to really punch out some volume when it's needed. But, I have a friend (who is not very computer literate and has asked me to investigate it further), who has 4 Play 3s and a soundbar. He has set one a Play:3 up next to each of he and his wifes lounge chairs so they can vary the volume separately for each speaker nearest to them. They are very happy with it because they both have hearing problems and this solves that problem. BUT, more and more lately the volume has been fluctuating between loud and soft on both Play:3s and the soundbar. He says he rang Sonos who did an upgrade over the phone, which fixed it for a little while, but now it's back again. They are frustrated almost to the point of throwing them out. I read where one fix is to disbale the hardware controls but that is exactly what they don't want. It's how they change the volume for each speaker. U

My sonos Connect keeps dropping the music (Service with Pandora Radio & Premium Account). for no reason. music plays fine for a couple of minutes or couple of hours and it drops completely. rendering my device useles, using the android app, or the windows app results in unable to find sonos until manual restart (unplug and replug from power). I have done extensive Network troubleshooting which are as follows. 1. Disable the Sonos built in WiFi & use the Ethernet wire 2. fully reset my sonos connect unit (Which resulted in better performance and dropped the music less often, but now after a couple of weeks its doing the same thing again. 3. Disabled the firewall into my ASUS Router model:RT-AC88U 4. Disabled IPV6 in my WiFi router 5. Fully reset WiFi router 6. Placed Sonos Connect into DMZ 7. Disabled AC wifi in Asus router 8. fully updated the router and sonos connect 9. changed ethernet wires 10. assigned a static ip into the sonos by using MAC IP binding into the wifi

Where would outdoor speakers need to be placed in order to take advantage of the phantom center channel that can be created with using the new AMP and Sonance Mariner Speakers? If I were to get two mariners and the amp, the mariners would most likely be a bit behind the viewer/listener.

Hi Sonos-community, I'm currently a BlueSound user (please don't hate), but I find their app and interface more and more annoying, so I'm thinking about replacing my BlueSound Units with Sonos instead. However my setup is different, so I'm in need of some assistance to make sure that I get it right. I have a home theater setup with a playbar, sub and two Ones are backspeakers. My TV passes through sound signals from the top set box via s/pdif, and it works fine for both 5.1 signals and stereo, but I have one "feature request", I guess. My seating is quite far from the TV and Playbar, and at night I would want to hear the sound from TV-channels that only send stereo in the back speakers (I'm close to them). This way I won't have to turn the volume up so high to hear dialoge. Any way to make this happen, like with the music feature?
