Hi, does the new xbox series x transcode dts to dolby digital while playing blu rays? The previous xbox did, and I'd like to know it does, and it's tested with a beam, before (hopefully) buying one.

Hi Everyone,Wonder if someone can help me with the following question:If I want to stream music (24-bit 44.1kHz/48kHz) directly from Amazon HD via the Sonos app (S2) in the latest Sonos Five. Does the Sonos Five need to be wired or can it stream that quality wireless as well?I have a 100mb broadband speed so not a problem.Looking forward to your answers.

New owner of an Acer R13 Chromebook, unable to utilise my Sonos system as Sonos do not support Chrombook OS

Hi, Just bought a Sonos Beam 2 weeks ago and I still don't manage to connect from the Spotify app. I can see the Sonos Beam in Spotify listed as device available but when I click on it, it displays "Connecting..." and nothing happens. I called the Sonos support submitted the diagnostic report but they did not manage to find out the issue until now. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem? I am just thinking to return it and ask for a refund. It just sounds like a big joke to me for the price we pay to have a so painfull experience of hours and hours just to connect from a phone whereas it takes just some seconds to connect in bluetooth with the cheapest speaker. Stephen

excuse the typo in the subject...can’t seem to edit it...but you know what I meant to write! I’ve had a Sonos Beam for ages working happily on 2 Samsung TVs. I’ve recently got a new LG CX. Sound was fine for one week (connected through ARC) but yesterday morning I got up and the sound is no longer working from the tv. Sound when played through the S2 app is fine so it’s purely a tv connection issue. Tried new HDMI cable, tried unplugging and plugging in again. Factory reset as well but no change. Every time I try and connect to the tv through the app it fails saying the ARC isn’t available.  on the tv this sort of symbol comes up when I switch to HDMI ARC.   hope someone can help..

I have a Sonos Playbar approx 3 years old, is it possible to connect this to a peleton bike?

My Playbase is not working properly (as part of a system with multiple Sonos devices connected to Wi-Fi where everything was fine). First, it disappeared from the S2 app. I was only able to add it back to the app by plugging it in to Ethernet. But it won’t add back to my Wi-Fi network no matter how many times I try to do this. It disappears from the app as soon as I unplug the Ethernet. I just submitted diagnostic code 2022648469 - thanks!

hey guys,  you know, this wouldn’t be an issue if I have a TV cos it’s a no-brainer. But now I have the abovementioned devices and I need advice before I splash some money to buy a device that would make it work. My monitor has 3 HDMI ports. Nintendo Switch dock has one HDMI port and Sonos Beam has one HDMI port.  Connecting Nintendo Switch to Monitor would only generate visual, no audio. Very doubtful that HDMI through Sonos to Monitor would have changed that. So I didn’t try. So what are my options? Thanks guys!

Hi folks, I’ve been reading a bit and i’m seeing mixed messages.  Here’s my situation:  I have a current hard-wried 4.1 system in my living room.  My home is an open floor plan with the living room, kitchen, eat-in and formal dining all “open” on the main floor.  I want to add some sonos 1’s around these auxiliary areas to have music spread across the space.  I first tried a Port to my existing AVR, but had sync issues (grossss)….  So now I’m wondering how to solve for my TV/Living area… options I’m considering:2x AMPs with my existing bookshelf speakers & in-ceiling speakers/sub to run a 4.1 setup in the living room If possible, could I replace my existing bookshelves with 5’s and use 1 AMP to power the in-ceilings for a 4.1 setup… (not sure if this would work.) Some other idea?  I don’t like the idea of wasting/not utilizing my built in ceiling speakers… To cut this off at the pass, I can’t / wife won’t do any form of sound bar, so that’s out of the question here. Open to ideas.

Please can you tell me how to erase a sonos system (remove speakers from my account) please. Thank you. In fact I have many problems and I wanna start it again to be sure everything will be fine Thank you

It suddenly stopped working just couple of days ago. Isn’t the latest version compatible?

Hi all,I have just downloaded Sonos S2 Controller for Windows 10 and I cannot find the option how to minimize the controller into the system tray, only to the taskbar. I tried to fix it through the settings, but I could not find any option for that.Could you please tell me is there any option to minimize the Controller into the system tray?Thank you and best regards.

Hi there,I'm aware this issue has been kicking around for a long time but found no case-specific to Philips TV'sWhen in 5.1 modes the audio is slightly behind the video.I'm using an Amazon Firestick 4K, and when I put it stereo it's perfect, but without 5.1 there is a slight delay that really bugs me!The setup is:Beam, Sub, 2 x Play:1 Phillips Ambilight 55PUS7394/12.I set the Firestick to 'Always Dolby Digital' and the TV to 'multichannel.'I've attempted all the other configurations 'multichannel bypass' on the TV etc., but they have the same issue, often worse though. Same issue with Netflix, amazon prime, iPlayer and the rest. So frustrating! A lot of cash to put down for something that doesn't work!Anyone else had a he same issue?Chris

We have the Sonos ARC connected from our TV using HDMI eARC but we have terrible lip sync issues. All audio settings on Sky Q, TV and Sonos App have been updated to try and resolve the lip sync but the only thing we can do is to set the Sky Q Audio to Normal instead of Dolby Digital Plus. This means that we invested in the Sonos ARC to have no better sound output than we would with any cheaper soundbar. Why do we need to watch movies that have Dolby Atmos sound with Normal audio settings? Doesn’t that defeat the object of having the Sonos ARC?Are Sonos going to fix this issue?

Hello guys,I have a Play:1 speaker and i would like to hook it up with an turntable. Figured out i will search for second hand connect and found an offer for used ZP90 for few bucks. Will it work with my Play:1?

I have a new Samsung Frame TV connected via HDMI ARC to a Sonos AMP.  Working perfectly until a few days ago. The system now is automatically switching off of the HDMI input and reverting back to the TV internal speakers… If I interact with the volume slider in the Sonos app it will switch back to the HDMI connection to the AMP, but then reverts back again to TV internal speakers after a few seconds.  The TV audio input settings look correct, the Sonos system plays back music just fine and is connected to the Sonos app...  Any ideas?

I have a pair of One SL, the arc and the sub (gen3) all connected and working together. My question is if I replace the pair One SL with the in ceiling speakers with it be compatible and plays well with the other devices? Also would the amp be necessary at this point?  thank you

Hi, I use the Sonos app to play music cds stored on my iMac in iTunes. I recently had to re-load MacIOS on my computer, and while I figured out how to link my iTunes library to Sonos, I did something incorrectly. I cannot no longer obtain infomation on the Sonos playlists about upcoming or previous tracks. I can get info about song currently played but not about others on playlist. How can I remedy this? William

Cheers, Eventually answers to my questions could be found in Sonos Support and FAQ. I could not be assure of the right answer and the situation has some minor particularities. I was not able to find a recent topic that includes this doubts. Since it is a considerable investment I post here my questions hoping they can be answered. I did a diagram to facilitate the description.  My goal would be to be able to listen to the Turntable and/or CD player through Sonos System (any room) and, possibly, also be capable to use the external Speakers, connected to a Receiver at this moment, as a pair of front speakers in the “home theater” set-up. This are the devices:a Sonos set-up to TV, Movies, video games as well as Music streaming in the living-room Beam 2 One (2Gen) distancing 4-5 meters opposite to the TV wall on each side  2 One (2Gen) on two different divisions A Stereo Receiver (Pioneer) https://intl.pioneer-audiovisual.com/products/2ch_components/sx-10ae/specification.php , which has 4

Tried to set up an alarm using my Apple Music playlist and continued to receive “We’ve run into a problem. Try again.” message on Sonos app in Apple iOS and Windows.  Can still play from the Apple Music playlists, but can’t load the playlists.  Diagnostic #: 1254326539

I've got an ASUS RT-AC68U wireless router and am really struggling connecting to a music library on a USB.On my old router, I just plugged the USB in the back and entered the appropriate path when defining the music library location in Sonos and it all worked fine. With the new router, I can't figure out how to connect Sonos to the USB stick plugged into the back. The router's USB config utility gives me an option to setup a UPnP media server, which I've done (because I've read that Sonos is UPnP-compliant), but I don't know if that's the right thing to do. I still have no idea what the path is to the USB stick, or how to access it. I've downloaded and read the relevant section of the router manual, but I'm still stuck. The ASUS range of wireless routers is pretty common, so I'm hoping someone can help me sort out what should be a really simple problem.

I’m building my hi res music collection and am wondering if it’s worth the pursue 24bit/96khz quality. Currently Sonos can support up to 24bit/48kHz. However, with the release of S2, people are saying S2 shows the possibility of hi res music support.   Is Sonos planning to support higher khz with S2?

Hello,I had a playbar, several ones, a sub and a ZP100. All running via S1 app. Just purchased an arc, which required move to S2. The ZP100, as expected, is dropped from the S2 system. The ZP100 is also dropped from my system list shown against online account. The problem is that I would like to (a) continue to use the ZP100 and/or (b) claim the trade up discount. Wrt (a) ive reset S1 app which allows option to creating a new system, despite many attempts including factory reset  ZP100, the s1 app doesn’t find it - any ideas? Btw, ZP100 had latest firmware, ethernet cable connected, has white / orange flashing status light on power up for a few seconds, then moves to flashing green mute button.  Wrt (b) it appears that to claim online the trade up discount, your product must appear in your system list, which it doesn't. Im guessing that solving (a) above would solve this too? any help really appreciated. thanks.

I was using the S1 app up until two days ago. I have upgraded to S2 app and initially it worked after a few teething problems connecting. As of this evening I cannot connect at all. The Play:3 will not connect to the router nor can I see the elusive ‘Sonos has created a wifi network for you to connect to’. I have literally tried everything and have resorted to completely resetting the Play:3 as if I were selling it nd still it will not connect.    I can see all the devices connected using the router portal and have reset the portal also.    I’m kicking myself for upgrading TBH. I wish I’d have just stayed on the S1 as this worked without issue. I’m about half a bottle of wine away from listing it on eBay and buying another Alexa Studio!    I’ve followed every guide on the Sonos site, every google result and every router help forum. I’m done. BTW, I am tech savvy and work in the network industry.    Can anyone help?
