Hello. I am having trouble with acessing my Sonos Connect from my Android phone. The S1 app wants me to uppgrade to S2, naturaly. But i can’t get passed the upgrade-message to continue to use the S1 app.The reason i do not want to use the S2 app, is that it can’t find my system. It says that Sonos S1 is not compatible with my system. But The Sonos Connect should be compatible with S1.  Or am i wrong? Any advise is appreciated.

I’m new to Sonos land and have a bunch of the ikea / Sonos speakers that don’t all that fabulously with AirPlay. I’d like to access BBC radio here in Canada using Sonos app. I can’t find the URL for live steaming it. Anybody help?

I have recently ordered the arc which has google assistant built in. I am wondering if i have to keep the existing nest mini speaker to control all my smart home devices or if i can get rid of the speaker and use the arc to control all smart devices. Not sure how good it will be to have two google assistant devices in same room!!

I have a Sonos system in which all components are on the one network. There are twelve Sonos units (Beam, Connect:Amps and Ones), and two of the Connect:Amps are legacy gen 1s.  I would like to make one floor of my house S1 including the old gen 1 Connect:Amps, and one floor S2 with the remaining units.   I understand from a previous reply that I can have two Sonos systems - one S1 and one S2 - all on the same network. If so, are there any specific concerns, or ways that I need to set this up to make it work well? I’d like to have two of the S2-capable devices on the S1 system (to allow me to airplay to all speakers on the S1 system). Is there a way to specify/make these S2-capable Sonos units join the S1 system? Thank you Cal

Hi we purchased Sonos Amp and connected it to our existing amplifier that is connected to 7 in ceiling speakers each with a volume control slider on the wall.  It seems to work but we’re worried about having 2 amplifiers together.   thanks

Hi Everyone,   I own a Sonos Beam, as well as 4 additional Sonos One SL’s.   I have a 900 sqft apartment, and using Spectrum internet with a download speed of 224 mpbs, upload at 10.4 mbps (if that matters).   When I have the speakers on all at once, when changing songs or hitting next, some speakers cut out for about 30 seconds before coming back on.    At first I thought this was a Spotify issue so I signed up for Apple Music to test my theory, and it seems to be the same case.    Does anyone else experience this issue? If so, what has helped you?

We don’t have a bridge, unhooked the speaker that didn’t fit the recent upgrade, are using the new controller and still the four play 1 speakers we use constantly lose connection to music services. I mainly use Spotify but it’s happening across the board, the alarms set up to turn on radio stations all just bong the Sonos charm and it’s driving me nuts! I know friends who all seem to be having similar problems over the last months or so, is the system doomed?!

I get this report. It says “connection with spotify disconnected”. Can anyone help me?

I cannot get rid of the Chrome ad that appears in the App. Any theories as to how to get rid of this ?

I have 5 access points that are all connected to the same 8 port POE switch. The POE switch is NOT connected to the router or network and the wireless function on the router is disabled.  The access points are somehow connecting to the LAN and finding the router gateway and internet and are they working...and they shouldn’t be!  One of the AP’s has a sonos plugged into it’s extra LAN port.  If I unplug it, the wireless network goes down.  It seems that the AP’s are using the SONOS wireless network and finding the LAN router through one of the wired SONOS in the house.  We have 13 Sonos devices in the house, about half are connected to the LAN.1st question, is this possible...is my guess correct?2nd question, how do I shut it down?  I discovered it because of network problems and latency.

Hello all, I just bought a Sonos One for the kitchen and we have a Beam for the living room. The One is connected via Wifi, the Beam via ethernet cable. For some reason my Sonos Ons disconnects a few times a day and I need to reconnect it. Sometimes even create a room etc.  Some more information: In the kitchen we have a router and in the living room there is another one which acts as an access point. I am only using the 2.4ghz network. I have submitted a diagnostics report:1529903601. I hope someone can tell me what is wrong.  Thanks and kind regards, Jim

I recently added my SiriusXM subscription to my Sonos configuration. When I try to listen to any SiriusXM channel, after attempting to connect, I receive the error message "the song is not encoded correctly". Sonos setup includes: Play:5 (original) - Ethernet Connect - Ethernet 2 x Play:5 (new model) in stereo pair - wireless 2 x Sonos One SL in stereo pair - wireless Sonos Amp - Ethernet Play:3 - wireless I *can* get SiriusXM channels to play reliably on the Sonos One SL pair but not on any other Sonos devices, neither the newer generation Play:5 and Amp nor the older products (original Play:5 or Connect - haven’t tested the Play:3). Ethernet connections are Gb, Internet is Comcast with 170 Mbps down, 12 Mbps up. No problems with other services (local music library, TuneIn, & Amazon Music) Can you please help me get SiriusXM working? Thanks

My Sonos Play:5 and playbar have stopped connecting. I cannot connect to my Sonos products anymore. The white light is on. The playbar works with the tv. I have tried everything to reconnect. Can I do a factory reset? Any other "tricks"?  Tia.

I am hoping a sonos support can explain this officially. When I stream from Spotify, does the song first come down to one player and then if I group, Does the song go out from the one player to the other players in the group. If I have a group does it do the same? Does Tidal hi res also work that way on Sonos?

I’ve had both an Arc and a Sonos Amp for the past few months. The Amp is hooked to floor speakers and a subwoofer, and is used primarily for my turntable. Previously, when watching TV, the Sonos app reported that the Arc was using TV audio and it allowed me to group the Amp for even more volume/bass. However today I tried to take advantage of this feature, and the Sonos app no longer signifies that the Amp is playing TV audio, and as a result I can no longer share TV audio between devices.Has something changed with the Arc firmware, or is there some setting that might be preventing this from working?

After upgrade I am not able to play Apple music neither on ipad or iphone...I get two errors; 1. An error occured  when adding song to que (1002) and 2. Could not play `songname` - connection to Apple music was lost. I deleted the apple account and readded, same problem. Any ideas?

Hi all,I am a lucky owner of playbase and 2 x play1s - working fine for 2 years with playbase wired, play 1s wifi connected.Today after upgrading to S2 on my iphone x I got message the play1s needs to be reconnected.Did not work out the regular way so I decide to factory setting the system starting with playbase.Unplugged and re plugged with holding the join button till green flashing light but cannot find the playbase in the S2 app (I tried wifi an wired - neidther worked).I can find play1s on the app but not the playbase anymore. Can anyone help / suggest what to try?

Hello,I’m going with the theory that perhaps Sonos might pay attention to threads not marked as “Answered” and possibly respond to a new one. A lot of people are patiently waiting to hear about any progress or timeline for supporting multichannel PCM on ARC. Is there anything substantial that you’re able to share with us regarding this feature?

Sonos just stopped working. I have been using my PC ( windows 10 ) to feed Pandora into a Sonos Bridge ( hard wired to my cable router ) - which sends the signal to my Sonos Connect Amp.The existing Sonos items are years and years old. What can I do to fix this?  The sonos program keeps trying to get me to download an app to my phone. I want to continue to operate Sonos from my home PC.

Hi, As you all know, Sonos removed the ability to added new devices through the S1 PC app last year. What a nightmare this has been for Sonos installers as now when a device magically removes itself we have to call the home owner and talk them through adding the device on their mobile app. Before the S1 app days we would simply remote into the PC in the comms cabinet rack and add the device for them. At least we can still re-authorise music services from the S1 app when the spotiy password changes. Does the S2 app this bring back the ability to add devices through the PC app?

I recently moved into a university dormitory, and although the WiFi is a public network, they have a system whereby a seperate private link network is used to connect wireless printers and such to your account on the network. This had worked perfectly and the Sonos connected and operated as designed for 3-4 weeks until recently ( possibly coinciding with the new app update), I was unable to connect to my sonos. In an attempt to troubleshoot this I tried to reconnect my Sonos to the system in the same way I had before except now I receive an “unexpected error” consistently every time my Sonos attempts to connect to the private network. It should be stressed that this is not an error on the Network’s side, as it had worked flawlessly before. I am unable to use any kind of ethernet connection, and when I tried to set up the Sonos through its own WiFi setup, i was greeted with another similar error at the point of finalisation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have several Sonos products and I love them all. My wife and I own 5 Play 1’s and a Sonos Beam are considering buying even more speakers soon. However, I was repositioning one of our play 1 speakers when I slipped and dropped it on the hard floor. There is some cosmetic damage which is my fault and I could live with, but when I plugged it in to check the sound, to my dismay, all low frequencies sound scratchy and flabby. Is there any Sonos repair program? I still have to check our purchase date, but I’m fairly sure we’ve passed the 1 year warranty date. I would certainly rather repair a speaker than buy a whole brand new one. If you could get back to me with some options that Sonos offers and prices that would be great. Hope to hear some good news!

How do you add speakers now - via S1 - since the MacOS app insists that a system update has to happen? Hitting a dead end here. Cannot and will not upgrade because of owning so-called ‘legacy’ products.

Diagnostics- 315833212 Up until recently everything was working fine. Nothing has changed in the system or surrounding devices. The sub cutting in and out during 5.1, surrounds still playing though.  I’ve hardwired the playbar, and that didn’t seem to help. I’ve also restarted the router which reduces how often it happens, but it still occurs. There are no 5ghz items within 10 feet of the playbar except for the WiFi range extender which is running on a different channel than sonos net.  Any thoughts?

I play mixes on Mixcloud other peoples and my own and after 30 min or more it’ll skip to the next mix. This has been happening for a very long time but as I don’t use it much I’ve never bothered to report it. However now in lockdown so using it a lot now. Diagnostics number is: 612132602 can someone please help?
