How do I know if my arc is outputting atmos? I have seen videos that show that if you go to "now playing" in the app it says that its outputting atmos. I have tried several sources (disney+, prime and netflix) that say they are dolby vision and atmos. When I play them the TV says its displaying dolby vision but nothing comes up regarding the audio and nothing is displayed in the app to say its atmos. I am using the LG 2020 GX and connected into the hdmi e-arc output. I have also used the hdmi supplied with the arc and also one I bought separately that is meant to support hdmi 2.1.Is this an issue with the app (im using an android and i know that sonos don't support them as well as apple, but surly something as simple as if its playing atmos should work?) Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Hi I have just traded in my old Play:5 speaker, to get 30% off my Sonos Arc buy. As I understood it, I then had to recycle the old speaker. However, after an email I got from SONOS regarding the trade in program, they asked we what I would do with the old speaker, namely if I would hand it in to a SONOS store, recycle it, sell it or keep it. Have I completely misunderstood, can I actually keep my play:5 that I have traded in to get 30% off a new buy?

Hi! Updated to S2-controller tonight. I have 2 Play:1. I can't get connected both of them. I tried the setup-process with the forst Play:1and the speaker was found, updatet and connected immediately. Everything worked fine. BUT the second speaker was not recognized from S2. Though I tried it vice versa in a new installation and  the second Play:1 was found, updated and connectet immediately. BUT now it wasn't possible to connect the first speaker additional, the one that worked in the former setup alone well. After reading here in the community i tried to reboot my router and both Play:1 and the S2-controller(restart of my Samsung SM J 600) but the S2 further on recognizes only 1 Play:1. What else can I do to solve the issue? Thank you!

I have recently changed Wifi and have updated Sonos so it connects to the new WiFi. Problem is that since the WiFi has changed, Sonos won’t play any of my TuneIn radio stations (BBC Radio so it is still active). I have rebooted my speakers and WiFi and still can’t get the radio to work.  I have a Play 1 and Play 3 speaker and same problem exists on both.  I can play Apple Music no problem. Help!

Hi All, This is getting a bit frustrating. In the past, when using the Sonos app in the search->playlists section I could enter an artists name ie Powderfinger and would get results such as Powerderfinfer Essentials, Powerderfinger: Next Steps etc returned. For a few days this has not been working. Now when I run a search it seems to me that any of the Apple curated playlists are not returned in the search results, however, other playlists which are presumably created by other Apple Music users do show in the results. Does anyone know if this is a Sonos or an Apple issue? I have tried deleting and readding my account to the Sonos app. Anyone else having these issues, or know of a solution. Cheers, Duddsy

HiTrying to figure out how to get the best out of the arc and have a few questions. My Samsung TV lets me choose between PCM or Dolby Digital as audio format. From what I understand is PCM 2.0 stereo, so I should choose Dolby Digital instead? Also, when support for LPCM arrives, I still have to use Dolby/PCM since the TV doesn’t support LPCM, even if Apple TV supports LPCM? Meaning, is the tv a bottleneck here?Last, is bitstream an option as a possible update to the Arc in the future?thanks!

Will my gen 3 sub woofer connect with the play 1's and gen 1 soundbar?

I have Amazon Music Unlimited.  When I search for music by artists either nothing or a subset of the available music is displayed.  If I go to the Amazon Music App I can see the full amount.   I would stream from my iPad but music playback from Sonos app on laptop normally is better with fewer drop outs than my iPad/iPhone.  For example, I type Bob Marley and nothing shows.

I have an old Onkyo receiver that is fine for radio and manages 4 wired speakers.  I want to add streaming abilities and likely a new CD player and some other wireless speakers.  The Onkyo has analog input/outputs for different devices.  I am looking at the AMP Port to start.  How would it be connected to the Onkyo?  I recently tried to add bluetooth to this receiver and couldn’t get any ports to work.

Hi. I have a problem where any time my router reboots, my Sonos system does not find it and reconnect. The only workaround I have found is briefly renaming my home network to a different SSID, and then changing it back to the original network SSID. After that Sonos finds and reestablishes its connection

I’m on the latest macOS Catalina 10.15, and my Sonos controller is up to date. On three occasions recently opening the controller on my Mac has caused the whole computer to instantly crash - I’m hoping someone might have an idea why? Thanks, Shane

HiI've been Spotify-Sonos user for just over a year, running eero mesh network with  Spotify playing on my sonos devices : MOVE & BEAM WITH  2 x SL’s All has been great...especially with the move outside now i have decent Wi-Fi in the garden.  In the last week whenever I try and play audio from Spotify to one of my Sonos speakers it lags or doesn't play at all.  If i switch to my phones audio its immediate and i can switch tracks with immediately.  So some sort of lag/latency between Spotify and my relaying this to my Sonos speakers.I guess What i cant put my finger on is there has been no changes to the following : no firmware upgrade to mesh eero,no new devices or electrical devices on the networkno change in the location of the speakers. Move normally sits on dock in kitchen..eero doesn't allow a change in wifi channel. rebooted all devices / disconnected Spotify app from Sonos / uninstalled / reinstalled / cleared spotify cache Anybody got any ideas why this has just started ha

I setup 2 x Sonos Fives, 1 x Arc and 1 x Sub for the first time on a new WiFi network.I’m using the Sonos 2 app on an apple iPhone X with iOS 13.7.  I couldn’t get the app to find any of the products until I plugged in one of the fives to the Internet access router. With one five connected by cable I was able to set everything up. But as the five was in a different room to the other devices and I want them all in the one room I unplugged and moved the five.  I now can’t find any of the devices. I’ve rebooted the router. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Zero. I keep getting an unending “searching for nearby products”.  I’m using Virgin Media’s latest high speed offering.  Any ideas welcome!

Help, please!I am unable to connect my Sonos Move to a new wireless router in my home.I have reset the move and I see a quick blip (half a second, at best) of the screen as if the app sees and identifies it as a Move, but then it quickly goes back to the “searching for nearby products...”screen.I welcome any tips, suggested order of steps, whatever, thank you!

I’ve been using Sonos since they launched about 13 years ago, but have always bought the black components. I’m planning to buy the Arc surround sound kit with the subwoofer and two S1s. However I’m looking to buy them in white. It will be placed in a south facing very (Very!) sunny room, do I need to worry about the white plastic turning yellow over time?

I have just lost all “My Sonos” favourites. Can they be restored to a previous time? Cheers JA1

Long story short, I upgraded my ISP connection, which prompted me to upgrade my router/firewall. I also decided to replace my very noisy dying switch. Result, great network, but Sonos is being very difficult. First, Apple Music stopped working. Couldn’t fix it. So being an idiot, I factory reset all of my Sonos. Managed to get 4 Play:1 connected (3 rooms, one each, except for one room with a pair). Now, trying to add any more Sonos results in a network problem on the last step of the process. My network: BT Openreach → Fortigate 80F → Netgear 752TPv2 → Ruckus APBT Openreach = ISP termination point in my house. CAT 6 connection to Router Fortigate 80F = Router & Firewall Netgear 752TPv2 = 48 port switch Ruckus AP = WiFi access points. All are wired to switch, so not a mesh network.Everything used to work prior to the router and switch upgrade.I’ve tried changing the MTU on the router; I’ve adjusted STP settings on the switch, and enabled “Forward BPDU while STP Disabled”. Nothing see

Hi everyone, we have a Sonos beam which is set up to our tv through the arc connection- works fine. Then we have two more Sonos speakers from IKEA- Symfonix. One is the lamp and the other is the bookshelf. They have all been set up and connected to the Sonos S2 app. When I go on the app onto the beam and try and set up surround sound (all speakers are on and connected to WiFi) it says- two compatible speakers are required...  are we doing something wrong? All speakers are connected on the app and so should be compatible? I can’t work out why it won’t work? Thanks in advance, Christy.

I have 1 “Playbar” and 2 “Play:1” speakers. The instructions for using the Trueplay function for SONOS  S2 App Version 12.1.1 latest update as of 10-16-2020 is as follows. From the Settings tab, tap System and then select the speaker you wish to tune. Tap Trueplay > Trueplay Tuning and follow the in-app instructions to tune your speaker. When I tap System and select the speaker I don’t see any option for TruePlay.  All I have for options is “EQ”; “Surround Audio” and “Volume Limit”.  I’ve been all over this App and nowhere is there a “Trueplay

Hello everybody,I am running into many problems with myS2 system. Please note wifi configuration is the same for a few years and never had any issues.Spotify stops playing OR repeats the song after 10-20 seconds Selecting a song or changing song takes forever, minimum5 to 10 seconds before it starts playing. Before it was instantaneous. when it starts playing it plays for a 10-20 seconds then starts again the song  Support diagnostic sent is 326329251Oh and yes I have disconnected everything, rebooted the router, then turn all device back on.. also plugged the playbar to a  wired network..I have the feeling S2 is not stable and ruins my sonos experience :-(anyone else having issues  ?thanks cyril

I have many speakers. I grouped a Sonos One and a Port (the port is sending his output line to a Yamaha amplifier) but there is a few ms delay between the two sounds. I tried to set the sound compression to none and to change the WiFi channel but nothing changes. I’m going mad… I sent the diagnostic and its number is 862404893 (in case someone from the support sees it...). I had this issue since I installed the system, I tried to plug, restart, change the input in the Yamaha Amplifier (RX-V375). I used to have the Connect and a Play:1 connected in the same configuration but I never had an issue, but then I upgraded the system due to the S2 app compatibility. Any other in the same situation? Thank you!

When I try and play my playlists i am getting a message saying “your Last fm login information was invalid”. I have no idea what this means or how to fix it. Help please.
