I keep getting the error message that one or more of my speakers is connected to a mesh WiFi and should be connected to the main node. My whole mesh WiFi system has the same name and password. Even my extenders have the same name and password. How do I make sure my Roam and Move speakers are connected to the “main node” of the mesh system? Should I disconnect the extender and other mesh devices and reconnect my speakers to the WiFi, then plug everything back in? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I have One Sonos One Gen 2 and im looking to connect to a turntable without spending hundreds. Can i pair a Roam with my Sonos one and then pair them to my bluetooth turntable? Thanks
I bought the Roam, this is my second time trying to connect to it outside my home. It is a brick. I can’t connect to the bluetooth, had to reset it. Now because I am not home, I can’t set it up in my Sonos system/on my account. WHY? It is dead weight and it should not be this difficult. Waste of money.
Received Sonos Roam yesterday and battery life is nowhere near advertised. Less than 24 hours and playing for 3 and battery completely drained! Please advise?
Can someone help my Roam won’t turn on. Orange light when plugged into charger but nothing happening. Only used it a couple of times too.
Love my roam, but am noticing the occasional bluetooth hiccup, where I lose audio for a few seconds periodically. FWIW, the roam and my iphone are mere inches away, so it is not like I am too far away from the device.Has anyone else experienced this?
i have a sonos roam and an existing surround setup with Arc+2 sonos ones. i try the swap feature which seems really good. however i struggle with switching from “swap” to “group”.either way after using or attempting to use the swap/group feature my existing sonos setup becomes almost useless. Sonos is unable to handle any music commands from alexa. Alexa takes the command but i get a “device is offline” from alexa, or alexa accepts the commands but doesn’t do anything. and if i play the music manually, alexa is still unable to pause skip track change volume etc. everytime i play with the swap feature everything gets messed up. anyone having similar issues?
If you have an old S1 system and want the Roam set up as a separate system on S2, you need to swithc off all your product, while you set up a separate system, or you can’t setup your new Roam. After setting up a new system in S2 app, your can switch your old products on again and access them in your old S1 app. After setting up the Roam via network, you can switch on the bluetooth system.Only that way you can get your Roam to work,It took me a while to get it to work, but now it works fine.SONOS please let your customers know this fix, or you’ll get unsatisfied customers.
I seem to have an issue with the battery life of my new Roam. Also - it isn't entirely obvious when the Roam is on or off. A few times I have picked it up to use and there has been no charge left. It seems to be a real user oversight.
Trying to set up my new Roam via my ipad mini. I only want to connect via bluetooth. During set up process I upgraded to Sonos S2 app. I connected to my internet service via theapp but it tells me the system includes products not compatible with Sonos S2. I suspect that is because I have a Bridge dircectly plugged into the router. When I go to Sonos 1 app the Roam is not showing. What do I do now? Thanks for your support. Steve Day
Does Roam work on any WiFi network or just the one you set it up with. Reason I bought was to travel with and not have to use Bluetooth when a WiFi network was available. Now that I read about it only seems that it works with the home WiFi network.
Hey,Since this weekend I have received my Sonos Roam. After installation, I would like to play music via WiFi (using the Sonos app or via Spotify to connect to the Roam), only after a few seconds (at most 2 minutes) the music stops. The Wi-Fi connection is good (the other Sonos Speakers do work (Sonos Play 1 and Play 3). Via Bluetooth it seems to work. Anyone have an idea?
Hi, After a fair bit of work, I have added a Sonos Roam to an S2 system and got my compatible speakers working with S2, and integrated all speakers with Google Assistant. All good. Now when I ask GA on Sonos Roam to play BBC Radio 6, it plays it from TuneIn. Then after a few minutes, the Roam powers off with no input / touch from me. When I turn it back on, S2 tells me it is at 91% battery. GA on the Roam tells me it is 87%. I.e. it has not switched off because it is out of battery. Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Thanks, David.
Hello,Recently I added a Roam to my existing system:Boost3 x Play:12 x OneSL2 x Play:31 x Play:5PlaybaseSubI got the Roam working using WiFi and Bluetooth to my mobile, but I had trouble swapping back from Bluetooth to WiFi so I decided to unpair the Roam from Bluetooth. The Roam is working OK using WiFi (or Boost?) but I’m hoping to use Bluetooth and Sound Swap to stream from my mobile to all my speakers (through the Roam). Is this possible? This article says Boost is not compatible with Sound Swaphttps://www.pocket-lint.com/speakers/news/sonos/156050-what-is-sonos-sound-swap-how-does-it-work-and-which-speakers-is-it-available-onDoes that mean my Boost is preventing my Roam from doing Sound Swap? When I look at my WiFi network list on my router the Roam always appears as offline, even when it’s active. I’m guessing this is because it’s communicating through the Boost instead, but I’m not sure.Do I have to remove my Boost to get full Roam functionality?Any guidance or advice appreciated …
Heading should say 2 x Sonos One speakers not (play)I have 3 x Sonos One speakers (gen 1). One set up in dining room and 2 paired as sterio in lounge. I have successfully connected the Sonos roam to a Bluetooth turntable and I inturn grouped in to the rest of the system however the audio while it comes out of the roam and the dinning room speaker it only comes out of one of the stereo paired speakers in the lounge. If not using Bluetooth and just connecting Roam to my whole system all music comes out all speakers as normal. Does the roam not support Sterio on already paired speakers in the system when in Bluetooth mode?
My sonos roam has been plugged in and connected for two days. It’s been working great! Suddenly on day three it won’t turn on and a steady orange light is showing. Help!
Hi,I’m enjoying using the Roam when travelling. Although the Bluetooth feature is convenient, when I finally get to my destination I want to connect the Roam to the wireless network that I set up in my hotel room. Otherwise it needs to be tethered to my phone. Do I have to do a factory reset in order to achieve this? It would be great if there could be a quick way to connect to networks while travelling.
I just received my new Sonos Roam Lunar White and I tried 4 times to set it up with my existing setup on Sonos app (S2) but the configuration didn't go throughThe WiFi temporary connection won’t work (error message) I decided to switch off the 5 GHz WiFi (WiFi 6) Tried to turn off Roam with the Power button to reboot it Reboot my iPhone 12 Pro Since then, Roam is kept with a Solid Orange button for 4 seconds, and won't start again with any command (I tried the Factory Reset but no impact) When I plug the Roam to a 10W iPad charger, the Orange lights is on and then goes off.I will call back Sonos Customer Care tomorrow...
Just wonder if I can use this PD charger to charge the ROAM? Would it be too much for it and negative to the speaker?
My Roam charges fine with a cable but when I put it on my charging dock it [edit: The Roam] just shows a red light and won't charge. Charging pad details in image below. Is there a compatibility issue?
Hi, my Roam has been working fine for the past few days, but I cannot seem to turn it on anymore. I’m using an Apple 20W USB-C charging brick to charge, but all that seems to happen is when I plug it in, the orange light glows for 10 seconds and then it fades away. Following the reset process doesn’t seem to do anything either. Any ideas as to what my problem might be?
I'm having this issue, specifically with the Roam (I have other speakers, including the Move that don't seem to be having this problem). Is anyone else having this issue, where the Roam is skipping or repeating songs?
Anyone else noticing issues sometimes waking the Roam when opening/ using the Sonos App? It is my understanding that opening the app or engaging an already opened Sonos app should wake a sleeping Roam. I’ve seen this not happen, several times now. The sleeping Roam continues to show as offline no matter what I do. Including closing and reopening the app. I know it’s not my wifi, because as soon as I plug the roam into the charger (which wakes it), it will then show up in the app. Ideas, thoughts?
When my Roam is paired with another Sonosspeaker the pairing wont stay connected. The Roam continues to stream music, but the connected Sonos One audio goes in and out.
Hi, the move shows up on my iPad, which is not on the latest iOS, but not any devices that are on the latest IOS.I see others have had similar problems, but haven’t found a solution anywhere. Does the sonos software need a patch to fix this?
