When a Play:1 is added to a Roam, is it possible for both to play when connected by Bluetooth?

I recently purchased a Roam so I can play music without the Sonos app. I have an existing Play:1, which I added to the Roam’s system. Is there anyway for the Play:1 to also work when I am connected to the Roam via Bluetooth? The two speakers play fine together when I use the Sonos app over wifi.

Based on this article, it seems like I am out of luck. But maybe I am wrong.

You’re not creating a stereo pair, you’re “grouping” the two speakers.

Send the Bluetooth signal to the Roam, then “group” the PLAY:1 with it, and you should get the Bluetooth signal out of both of them simultaneously.
