What is this orange light? I just got my roam2 for my trip. Here I am with an orange after a full charge? Is Amazon selling defective sonos items? How disappointing! Last time for me.back to Bose.
Hi. I know I can’t use a bluetooth cd player with the 4 Play:1 speakers that I have, but if I bought a Roam 2, could I group that with the 4 Play:1 speakers, and when the CD player is connected to the Roam 2 via Bluetooth, would it all play through the old Play:1 speakers too, as well as the new Roam 2? (If so (out of interest!), 2 of the Play:1s are a stereo pair, would they still be a stereo pair or would they just all be a group playing the same thing?) It would be great to have our old CDs playing through the Sonos system. this way if it works!
I have two new Roam2 speakers that I would like to connect to my outdoor tv. I have an existing system that I use inside with playbar, sub woofer, surround sound, and ceiling speakers. I'm struggling on how to add the new speakers to the outside system. If I use bluetooth, only one speaker can be connected at a time
Sonos Move only plays Sonos Chime on alarms. Fix?
Will roam 2 work as a set with the beam for tv
I’m using the line-in entrance to drive a stereo paired Sonos Five speakers, joined by a Sonos Move 2 speaker. All components have the latest software updates, including the Sonos app.Any pause in the audio source longer than a few seconds, causes the Mone 2 to disconnect from the currently playing set of speakers - namely the line-in driven pair of Sonos Five which do resume playing correctly. The only way to restore playing from the Move 2 as well is through the app, re-joining it to the paired Five speakers (that are connected via the line-in). In other words, if there is no constantly playing sound/signal - the Move 2 will disconnect and require re-joining every time playing resumes.I’ve tried: Turning off and back on the Move 2 speaker. Updating all system components (app itself and the latest Sonos system updates). Changing Sonos network channel. Killing the Sonos app once the Move 2 is correctly connected/joined and is playing. But nothing helped so far.

Hey,Over the past couple of months, I’ve been using my move speakers to play music on when I practice bass. A few days ago, I went to play the music, and one speaker sounded incredible muffled like it was underwater, and the other speaker was fine. I could kind of adjust this and fix it with eq but it was still noticeably bad. I just used the other speaker that night. Last night, I went to go use the other speaker, and it seemed to have the treble maxed out on it with little to no bass coming from it. Same thing, even with messing with the eq, it still didn’t sound right. I haven’t used them since and I really don’t know what to do. I really want to avoid getting a new speaker if that’s possible. Has this happened to you, and what did you do to fix it?
I’ve had my Sonos Roam 1 since release, when taking it on holiday it has always connected to BT easily by holding the button for a couple of seconds until the ding, then the light goes blue. I’ve just got back from holiday and found that this no longer works, I hear the ding but then it just carries on flashing white. I’ve just been testing it at home and found that it does eventually connect to BT when no wifi is found, but it took 3-4 minutes after pressing the button before the light turned blue. Can anyone advise what to do to fix this? I has the latest firmware installed. Switching to BT when wifi is connected is instant
I have a number of Sonos One and a Move. Recently the Move stops playing, then after a period, sometimes minutes, sometimes longer, it resumes.I’ve tried everything I can think of, including factory reset. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Roam ************This is the second of our Roams to die, both of the same deaths. They work until they don’t. You cannot turn it on or reboot (in any of the multiple ways to do so). I chatted with a Sonos tech (good) and we determined it had no power - the magnetic pad had stopped working, but I could recharge it using a C cable. When charged, it still would not respond. This one did hold on for another year past the first. Am purchasing a refurbished Era 100 to replace it. Moderator Note: Recorded and removed Case number. Hello all, I have the Move 2 speaker and it's working fine except for the status light is no longer on even though the speaker is playing. I turned it on and off several times and the problem is still there. I went into the setting in the Sonos app and the status light is toggled in the on position. I turned that off and on several times and did not solve the problem. Would someone respond please that has had this issue? Thank you.
I’m sure there are a ton of conversations on this forum already about the inability to stereo pair Sonos speakers while traveling. I’m presently traveling and can’t use 2 of my Sonos speakers for stereo sound while browsing my computer on top of my bed. And so that’s why I’m here writing to this forum. In the past I’ve shrugged this off, but this scenario keeps coming up over and over any time I go traveling. Hotels and AirBnBs, camp sites, a friend’s house... I’m not there long enough where it’s worth going through the trouble of migrating all my devices over to a temporary wifi network. The process is not quick at all, riddled with obscure timeouts, and when I do it once to connect to the temporary network, I then have to do it again to pair back to my home network. Very cumbersome. My understanding is that Sonos already has “SonosNet”, a separate WiFi network from the home internet that coordinates all the speakers. If my understanding is correct, that means that Sonos speakers have
Trying to connect Roam to WiFi while we’re away. After going into the initial set up it says ‘No products found for (name of WiFi)’ which is fine, so I go into system settings but all I’m getting is this, (see picture)If I choose select your product I have to log in which I already am. If I go into switch system and then set up new system it searches constantly for the Roam but doesn’t find it. Currently using it as a Bluetooth speaker which isn’t ideal.
Received a Sonos 1 from my brother as a birthday gift in April.I left it as I was tempted to sell it since I really don't use portable speakers when I use my Sony XM5 cans instead.Yesterday I said screw it and decided to open it and try it out but I cannot get this thing to connect!I put it on the base ring & the bottom LED on the speaker pulses orange for a short while then goes to a fast red LED pulse.I left it overnight thinking maybe it was a low battery issue but it was doing the same thing this morning. So I plugged it into a 45w USB C to charge for a while then back to the ring, same thing. My app does not see it and when I put the speaker on the ring while holding the infinity button to do a hard reset the white light on top just stays at a slow pulsing white, no white/orange alternating. Is this thing DOA out of the box? If so I think I might be done with SONOS...I have 8 SONOS speakers in the home but with the issues with the app and now this, come on.Anyone have any suggest
My Sonos Move 2 that I recently bought, is not playing music via Airplay when used in Roon or when used in Airfoil. All my other speakers (Naim, Sennheiser Amber) are without issues. Is related to Move 2 firmware I suspect.
no response on Roam when pressing and holding power button. orange light is flashing but not connected to power.
Roam bloquée Lorsqu’il est branché led rouge fixe impossible de l’éteindre, impossible de le réinitialiser, il reste bloqué Moderator Note: Google Translate- Roam blockedWhen plugged in, the red LED is steadyIt can't be turned off, it can't be reset, it remains blocked.
Moderator Edit - Translated by Google:I give up. It's impossible to comfortably manage your app. The laptops are constantly getting out of configuration, and it's an exhausting battle to get them to sync. It's a shame. You have good speakers, but an unstable app that makes the user experience with your laptops a constant frustration. Before putting laptops up for sale, you should check their functionality and stability. For the price of your devices,
I know I can’t do the stereo with two devices, but hoping I can do two mono outputs from one iphone using bluetooth
so disappointed in Sonoscustomer service cannot help called twicewill not power on at all should i even waste my money with another one
So, another one of my ROAM dies. Not the first Orange light I have had - gratefully replaced by Richer Sounds under extended guarantee. This one is not so lucky - it will be consigned to the recycling centre small electronics bin.My advice, for computers/desks: BUY WIRED! I’m fed up replacing these when used as a stereo pair. They dont last the test of time. Simple as that.
I have a network with 3 devices. Sonos 5, Play3 and Move 2.My summer house is just out of range of wifi so I bought the Move 2 to try to act as a repeater for my wifi after being told it can setup a Sonosnet that is dedicated to Sonos network.I have hard wired my Sonos 5 which is very close to the router. But my Move 2 does seem to be connected to the SonosNet.I can check my status using:http://192.168.0.27:1400/support/review My Sonos 5 shows its in Sonosnet mode:WifiMode 0 WifiModeString SONOSNET_MODE IdleState 0x00000000 BusyClients AUDIO_OUT, LOCAL_SONOSNET, NO_PRIMARY But my Move 2 shows:Wireless Info WifiMode 1 WifiModeString STATION_MODE IdleState 0x00000000 BusyClients AUDIO_OUT, NO_SONOSNET_PEERS, NO_PRIMARY Its not unlikely the router is the stronger connection between this and my Sonos 5 as they are pretty much in the same place. Is there a way I can force my Move 2 onto the SonosNet so it can bridge between my Sonos 5 and the out of reach Play 3.
I have a Unifi UDM and three access points. My network consists of two segments. The normal network is named “Trusted”, which hosts personal secure devices, and another network named IoT which is firewall-prevented from accessing my main “Trusted” network. All devices with limited, poor, or no security are configured to use IoT. It is essential that my Sonos Move 2 be put on the IoT network, but Sonos won't let that happen. Sonos devices MUST be on the same network as the devices that interact with it, eg my iPhone and iPad, which are on my main network. My rules are that as Sonos devices are untrusted, they must NOT be on the Trusted network Temporarily my Move 2 is on my main network, until I figure out how to isolate it. I’d be grateful if someone can help
any reason UK Move 2 won’t connect to channels in the 149 - 165 on 5Ghz have AP for outside and due to it being an outside AP it doesn’t have the usual channels starting from 36 as these are for indoor use only.the Move will connect on channels in the lower 100 range but these use DFS. in the UK we can use 149-165 without DFS but the Move 2 won’t connect to them
