Does it work to use Sonos Move to voice control a stereo pair of Sonos Five? It works well, even when the Sonos Move is not playing music?
My recently purchased Sonos Roam is dropping the sound for a second or so regularly when I play via Apple Music from my phone. However, it doesn’t do the same when I play via the Sonos App on the same phone. Over a 20 minute period playing through Apple Music, the sound dropped 16 times, but this did not happen when playing through the Sonos App. Has anyone experienced anything similar, if so, were you able to resolve?
Hey there, I bought a New Open Box Sonos Roam from Best Buy and it sounds like it’s playing with a pillow over it. Very muffled sounds. Any idea what could be wrong? So far I’ve only tried it on Bluetooth
Hi and thanks I’m advance for any assistance. I have a Sonos 1SL and want the new Dual SL to use as a second speaker. Will that work please? thanks in advance.
Can not group Sonos roam with my Sonos 1’s
I play something on Spotify, then I want to listen that on my Sonos Move which is on its charging station. To do that I click On Spotify App > Select device > Sonos. The issue is that sometimes (not always) Spotify app shows “connecting...” but the connection is not established. However (and that’s the thing I don’t get) when I grab the Sonos Move away from the charging station, the connection got established. Since that time on, Sonos works perfectly fine, 1) away from the charging station or also b) when I put it back in the charging station. Did it happen to you too? PS: As an alternative, I can fix that by resetting the Sonos Move (Move it away from the charging station, then click and hold reset button for 5 sec). From now on, the connection is established even when the Sonos move is at charging station.
I am thinking about purchasing a Sonos Move for my master bathroom. I need a wireless speaker that will remain on (in sleep mode) so that whenever I walk into the bathroom, I can just ask Alexa to play music without having to turn on the power button. Is that how the Move operates? Does it have to continuously be in its charging cradle for it to operate like that? Or can it be wireless and continuously be in sleep mode until voice activated? Thank you!
How can i setup my new roam while away from home?I just want to connect to it via bluetooth?Surely that is possible?
I think this may be a common problem.. but.. I can’t get any light to go on at all.. the Roam was working fine until a couple of days ago.. although the power button has always been a bit hit and miss.. I only use it through bluetooth on my phone ipad as I am living abroad. It has not been used for approx 36 hours.. and this morning I found it dead and unresponsive. I tried the holding down power for 12 to 30 seconds.. this did nothing.. I did notice that I had a brief orange flight flashing on the base.. I had been using a regular USBC cable.. which i’d never had a problem with for 18 months.. but I have reverted to the original cable.. I called technical support.. after 45 minutes on hold etc.. the technician’s diagnosis.. I think there is a problem with your roam.. this did make me laugh.. anyway.. I am going to leave it charging for a few hours with the original cable.. to see if this has any impact.. any advice very welcome.Thank you
林さま 教えていただいたとおり、本体をリセットして2時間充電してスイッチの押しましたが、電源が入りません。いかがすればよろしいでしょうか?Moderator edit:Google Translate-Mr. HayashiAs you told me, I reset the main unit, charged it for 2 hours, and pressed the switch, but the power does not turn on.What should I do?
After I added Move to my system, the whole thing went wonky. It doesn’t even matter if Move is in a group or not, so these things may not be related. However, let me just describe the situation. My setup is:Bedroom 1: IKEA speaker - wirelessDining Room: Stereo Pair of Play:1 - wirelessLiving Room: A single Play:1 -wirelessFamily Room: Surround setup consisting of Beam, Sub, 2 Play:1 as surrounds - all wired to ethernetBathroom: a single Play:1 - wirelessKitchen: Move - wirelessThe Play:1 are all the non-smart variety.I use a Mac with the App or iPhones with the App to manage everything.. Stream music primarily from Spotify but also use Apple Music and local music library from devices.Everything worked very well most of the time. However, as I mentioned, around the time I added the Move, everything got weird. Issues materialize as: Groups sometimes fall apart Delayed or very difficult to get Groups to start playing music Members of group audio cut out and often get out of synch Weirdest
I have a 2yo MOVE and using quite frequently. Starting yesterday it just blinked orange indicating low battery even though it was stationed on the base as it usually is. Tried to connect it to other plugs to see if that worked but nothing. Just kept on blinking. It seemed it reacted when I replaced it on the base as the orange light stayed on for a second before starting blinking again but today it’s completely dead and I can’t do anything. Connected it to usb charging instead but nothing. Tried to remove and hold the power button 15 sec as I saw in another thread. Nothing. What can I do? The electricity is working in the house so it’s not that.
Es posible conectar Sonos Move a una TV Samsung SmartTV?Gracias
The problem is my Move remembers an old WiFi network and attempts to reconnect to it despite having a factory reset done. Is there a way to ABSOLUTELY wipe everything out of the Move? The “factory reset” really isn’t.Here are the details:I have a SONOS Arc, Sub, Amp, Move, and a couple of wall mounted speakers. The Arc, Sub, and Amp are all connected through Ethernet. The Move is of course wirelessly connected.I recently had an Asus router fail. When the router failed, I replaced it with a Unifi Dream Machine SE. This gave me the ability to create separate virtual networks for family, friends, work, and IoT devices so I could properly isolate networks with IoT devices that phone home to unknown places from the other networks. Once the new router was up and running, I temporarily connected everything to the the same same network. This required a factory reset of the Move since the old WiFi network no longer existed. The app found the Move, and the new WiFi network (We’ll call i
Hi there, I have four Move speakers and I want to connect them all to the same system so I can add them in the Sonos app, but when I go to my system in the app, it only shows two. What seems to me is that two moves are in one system and the other two in another. How do I make the four moves belong to the same system. Just a note, the four moves are registered in the same email account. Thanks for your help in advance!
I cannot get my Sonos Move to turn on. When plugged into a power source the battery indicator fast flashes red then turns to a solid orange. When I try to do a factory reset of the device I get exactly the same outcome except that the indicator on the top flashes white for a few seconds and then nothing happens. My Sonos is only about 3 months old so I’m not sure what the problem is here? Any help would hugely appreciated!
I have been a huge fan of Sonos for many years but just had one is probably the worst customer service experience with any company that I can recall. I purchased a Sonos Roam with the idea that I could use it in a small room in the house on Wi-Fi and bring it to the office to use on Bluetooth. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the speaker where it powers off on its own randomly anywhere between 10 minutes to an hour. I reset it to factory settings, without resolution. After 90 min (mostly holding) w tech support, they could not figure it out and wanted me to video the speaker to capture the random moment it powers off. I explained that I do not have time to waste doing that (could be 45 minutes or so of recording). They then told me to call sales for an exchange. After another 30 min w sales, I was told it would be escalated and I would get a return call. 2 days later I still did not hear back, and called again. After another 30 minutes, I was told its 10 days past the 45 d ret
I just got a new Sonos Move. The setup with the Sonos App stops at:“One or more apps on your mobile device are still using Airplay. To continue setup, go into the app and change the audio output for your device, then return to the Sonos app”.I am stuck there since I do not know what device or other app this is referring to.Any suggestions?
I have a Sonos S1 system at home with a Play 3 and Play 5. I realize these are older products. I have downloaded the S2 controller to try to add the Sonos Roam I purchased today. It’s not letting me add it as it’s showing my S1 products and labeling them incompatible. I’m not seeing Roam at all (it’s powered on). Don’t really know what to do at this point.
I recently bought a era 100 and a roam. The roam constantly stops playing when in airplay. The battery is over 80% and it drops off the network and I have to turn it off and on again. This happens several times an hour. I have a system of ubiquiti unifi in wall access points. Can anyone help? The era is fine.
I bought my Roam to use in the garden but it keeps dropping off during use. Any suggestions? Pretty disappointed so far
Is it possible from a software's perspective to provide an update to enable Wifi and Bluetooth Mode at the same time ? When on Bluetooth i feel the assistance feature is useless. Or atleast possible to keep the Assistance Enabled irrespective of the Mode ? Or its a hardware limitation on Move ?
Hello! We bought from you two Sonos Move boxes. We tried to set up one of them and the process was pretty straightforward and we are able to configure and control it from Android and Windows through your applications and our WiFi LAN. We played some music from Spotify to test the product. Our problem is as follows:We have a hall (a church but it doesn’t matter in our discussion) in which we have microphones tied to a Windows laptop. We receive the sound in this laptop and we can hear it in a sound processing program (Audacity - for conformity). How can we send this sound in Sonos boxes? (We are not interested in playing internet sound streaming through them - just the sound from our local hall - the church). We want a local soulution through our LAN.Please advise. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!
I thought the days of wrestling with the Roam were behind us, but alas, I am having connection problems once again. I recently changed internet providers and of course that necessitated a new router. All my other Sonos kit transferred easily to the new router. Only the Roams (I have 2) have caused me problems. The app says my black Roam is "not connected" and the white Roam is "powered off". Both have direct power and are fully charged.I am able to link to the white Roam by Bluetooth, but I can't get either to link to the wifi. In fact I can't even get the black Roam to go into pairing mode (side rant, I still really hate the flimsy, recessed power button on the back of the Roam and its time-based functionality) I have tried everything. I have powered everything down, I have run the "find missing products" feature but it always fails. I wish there was an ethernet port on the Roam so I could at least hardwire it. Right now it's useless.
Hi there, the Sonos Roam is supposed to indicate a low battery by flashing the orange LED. Mine does not do that. Even at 10% or less. It is new.Any ideas?Regards,Julian
