I have been a huge fan of Sonos for many years but just had one is probably the worst customer service experience with any company that I can recall. I purchased a Sonos Roam with the idea that I could use it in a small room in the house on Wi-Fi and bring it to the office to use on Bluetooth. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the speaker where it powers off on its own randomly anywhere between 10 minutes to an hour. I reset it to factory settings, without resolution. After 90 min (mostly holding) w tech support, they could not figure it out and wanted me to video the speaker to capture the random moment it powers off. I explained that I do not have time to waste doing that (could be 45 minutes or so of recording). They then told me to call sales for an exchange. After another 30 min w sales, I was told it would be escalated and I would get a return call. 2 days later I still did not hear back, and called again. After another 30 minutes, I was told its 10 days past the 45 d ret
Sonos Move not turning on
This is my 2nd Sonos Move (first one was sent back under warranty) that won't turn on. I can't believe that these speakers are this bad where I've had two in a row stop working after less than a month I've tried all the factory reset nonsense and it doesn't work Does anyone have a different fix or possible cause of this? The speakers have been kept inside and not exposed to water.
App setup for my new Sonos Move
I just got a new Sonos Move. The setup with the Sonos App stops at:“One or more apps on your mobile device are still using Airplay. To continue setup, go into the app and change the audio output for your device, then return to the Sonos app”.I am stuck there since I do not know what device or other app this is referring to.Any suggestions?
Trying to Add Sonos Roam but...
I have a Sonos S1 system at home with a Play 3 and Play 5. I realize these are older products. I have downloaded the S2 controller to try to add the Sonos Roam I purchased today. It’s not letting me add it as it’s showing my S1 products and labeling them incompatible. I’m not seeing Roam at all (it’s powered on). Don’t really know what to do at this point.

I recently bought a era 100 and a roam. The roam constantly stops playing when in airplay. The battery is over 80% and it drops off the network and I have to turn it off and on again. This happens several times an hour. I have a system of ubiquiti unifi in wall access points. Can anyone help? The era is fine.

The touchbuttons on my Move suddenly no longer responded. I turned the device off, and now it doesn’t respond at all and won’t turn back on.I tried resetting, leaving it off the charger for a while, nothings worked. When connecting it to the charger orange light on front turns on for a few seconds before it turns off again. any advice?
Sonos Move Bluetooth and Wifi Mode
Is it possible from a software's perspective to provide an update to enable Wifi and Bluetooth Mode at the same time ? When on Bluetooth i feel the assistance feature is useless. Or atleast possible to keep the Assistance Enabled irrespective of the Mode ? Or its a hardware limitation on Move ?
How to connect Sonos Move for live streaming on LAN?
Hello! We bought from you two Sonos Move boxes. We tried to set up one of them and the process was pretty straightforward and we are able to configure and control it from Android and Windows through your applications and our WiFi LAN. We played some music from Spotify to test the product. Our problem is as follows:We have a hall (a church but it doesn’t matter in our discussion) in which we have microphones tied to a Windows laptop. We receive the sound in this laptop and we can hear it in a sound processing program (Audacity - for conformity). How can we send this sound in Sonos boxes? (We are not interested in playing internet sound streaming through them - just the sound from our local hall - the church). We want a local soulution through our LAN.Please advise. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!
Oh no. Not again. Roam connection problems!
I thought the days of wrestling with the Roam were behind us, but alas, I am having connection problems once again. I recently changed internet providers and of course that necessitated a new router. All my other Sonos kit transferred easily to the new router. Only the Roams (I have 2) have caused me problems. The app says my black Roam is "not connected" and the white Roam is "powered off". Both have direct power and are fully charged.I am able to link to the white Roam by Bluetooth, but I can't get either to link to the wifi. In fact I can't even get the black Roam to go into pairing mode (side rant, I still really hate the flimsy, recessed power button on the back of the Roam and its time-based functionality) I have tried everything. I have powered everything down, I have run the "find missing products" feature but it always fails. I wish there was an ethernet port on the Roam so I could at least hardwire it. Right now it's useless.
Roam stops working and disappears from app
Roam stops working, assistant says can’t connect to wifi, Roam not visible in Android app.In Windows desktop app Roam is visible and works normally, check for update and desktop app reports that an update is required, Roam is updated, after update Roam appears in Android app. This has happened on a number of occasions, I wonder why?
Sonos Roam = Brick
Update on my 1.5 year old Roam that has been determined dead, I've been on several chats with Support, though I've used my Roam maybe 5 times in the 1.5 years, it’s a brick out of warranty, the best they’ll do is a 30% off coupon toward a replacement. Not good enough Sonos, I’ve been a customer since 2008 and things are slipping with the newer devices, by all the accounts posting similar experiences with the Roam, I think it’s a lemon. After talking it over with my wife, we’re not thrilled with the trend, issues with the system as far as connectivity etc, things seem to be on the decline. We won’t be using this coupon offer for another new component, I think we’re done.
Sonos Roam qui s’éteint inopinément
Bonjour !! Merci d’avance !! Moderator edit:Google Translate-Good morning !! I have had a problem for 2-3 days with my Roam, in fact it often turns off while playing multimedia from AirPlay (Apple Music, Netflix). My network is fiber, and there is never any object interfering between my iPhone 13 Pro Max/iPad Pro and the Roam. I would like a solution to my problem. Thanks in advance !!
Amazon music goes silent when playing on my roam
I can be playing an album through Amazon Music on my Roam when it suddenly goes silent. I can see that the song still plays on the roam as time moves. I have tried switching off and on again but it doesn’t work. However, there is no issue if I go to a myTuner radio station or a Pocket Casts podcast. I can then go back to Amazon Music later and it plays fine. I can’t see any correlation between the album being in HD or UHD.
Roam turns off with epson projector
I have the Sonos Roam. I have it connected to my epson projector through Bluetooth for sound. is there a way to stop the Sonos from automatically turning off when I turn the projector off. it turns off with projector but won't turn on when the projector turns on. Is there a way to stop it from turning off or is there a way to get it to turn on when the projector turns on. I use Navida shield as my tv source. Thank you
Sonos Roam Dies in under 3 years due to power issues
Once you look around on-line and at support cases on the Sonos site, you will see that the Roam dies shortly after the warranty period. Once beyond the 12 month warranty period, Sonos says you are out of luck. It is an expensive paper weight. Don’t bother with support if you bought more than 12 months ago: This is what Sonos will tell you about the Roam. “I'm afraid that according to the information from our system, your Sonos Roam is out of warranty since MM/DD/YYYY. For this replacement, we can offer a 30% discount on the replacement unit since it is outside the warranty period. You will need to send your unit back to us, and we'll be sending you a coupon code you can use on sonos.com to get a product or set of speakers. Please, let me know if you want to proceed with this process. It will be a pleasure to help you.” So basically, it’s a product that dies with a poor quality power issue. Don’t buy the Roam. Other speakers are good, but stay away from the Roam
Sonos Roam - won’t power on
I have 2 Sonos Roam for use in both my home system and while traveling. I’m now on vacation and brought both Roam’s with me - in the home system they were working no problem. But now in my vacation location they refuse to power on. They’ve been charged overnight, during which time an orange LED appears at the base of the Roam. However that’s it. I’ve tried powering on normally, doing a hard reset etc but nothing seems to work. They’re both completely dead. The only function they seem to have is the orange LED when charging. Basically extremely frustrated and hoping I can find some answers here!
Regular audio gaps with Roam and Google Pixel 6 Pro via bluetooth?
Hi allFor the last few months I’ve had a constant issue with playing from my Google Pixel 6 Pro phone to my Roam via bluetooth. I regularly get the audio dropping, just for half a second, often once a track when playing, and I just can’t work out what the issue is. I mostly use MediaMonkey Android app as my main music player, but also often use Spotify and Qobuz and find it happens will all apps (ie I’m pretty sure it’s not a specific app issue). I have tried by resetting the wifi, mobile & Bluetooth settings on the Pixel 6 Pro, but after repairing with the Roam the problem is exactly the same. I’ve also tried shutting the Roam down and restarting it, but even if I get a few tracks play back glitch free the issue re-occurs after a while. Any ideas? It’s really frustrating! I use MediaMonkey on my phone and laptop as it’s the most flexible app to let me manage my local music in a way that no streaming services do, so don’t want to stop using it, and the only way to play from MediaMo
Roam or Roam SL regarding battery usage
HiI am about to buy a Roam or Roam SL but have read about severe battery drainage on the Roam with microphone. These posts are 2 years old.It will be used primarily outside (I don´t know if Automatic Trueplay only works within walls) and Google Assistant will not be used. Will the Roam drain battery quicker than the SL with the microphone turned off?
sonos roam incompatible with other sonos products
I’m beyond frustrated with Sonos. High quality, expensive hardware with some of the worst software. Bought a new Sonos Roam, took hours to set up, had to download the new app. Now the rest of the system doesn’t work.has to set up two networks. Sonos 5 now will not even power up and roam can’t be grouped. So I have an expensive mobile speaker that only works off broadband, must have internet and doesn’t group with my other products! 🤬 which clown came up with this corporate strategy. Feature Request: Allow limiting the max charge of battery-powered products.
Hiya! This is gonna be one heck of a first post for this forum. I’ve had a Sonos Roam for a while now, and I love the thing. Really, I do, or at least I did… then I started worrying. I had to RMA my first unit the year I got it, because the battery health had worn down so far during its usage cycle that it refused to start up anymore. For reference, this is what I experienced: The Roam refused to respond to the power/bluetooth sync button, media buttons, or microphone button. The Roam’s lights would not turn on, and the speaker would not connect to the local network. The speaker would let the power light fade on, sit a moment, then abruptly shut off entirely when at rest on its wireless charging pad. The speaker would not respond to the support rep’s “plug it in and leave it overnight” troubleshooting step. Later on in the day, I found that often times, the Roam and other battery-powered Sonos products relied on their batteries for things like keeping the internal clock running. When m
