Just got the Beam. It worked fine Day 1 then when I went to use on Day 2, the Fios remote no longer controls the volume. I checked all the settings, did a restart, and tried reprogramming remote with the app with no success.

I was able to move my Beam to another room/TV.  I have a single Sonos ONE SL speaker I’d like to operate with the Beam as a “group” so I can place the One SL near a chair where the user is sitting.  (This is in a room for an elderly person with poor hearing.)I was able to create “group” with the 2 and that works.  The volume control on the TV remote is tuned to the Beam, but the volume of the One SL can only be controlled through the app.  Is there any way to get the One SL volume to “slave” to the Beam volume control?

Is redoing the Trueplay required for the new updates on height audio? Hope the experts here can advise, thanks a lot!! :)

I just purchased a new Beam for our RV to use with the TV as a soundboard.  Does it require WiFi after setup?  So, every time we go to a new campground, we have to access the WiFi of that campground?  Seems weird.Any work around would be great!Thanks.

My sonos beam keeps dropping off my network.  i have to reset the beam everytime and when I get it set it plays for a little while and drops off again.  Any suggestions?

Hi - I’m trying to set up my ARC but am stuck on the step where it searches for CEC.  My setup is an Apple TV → HDFury Arcana → Sonos Arc / BenQ Projector.I’ve tried troubleshooting every way I can think of:Powering everything off and on. Trying every combination of CEC On/Off between the Apple TV and the Projector. Confirming firmware up to date. Disconnecting and reconnecting all HDMI Cables. Connecting the Arc directly to the Apple TV Meanwhile the Apple TV sound is coming through the ARC speaker. The biggest issue is I can’t control the volume with the Apple TV remote. The Sonos app remote setup doesn’t detect the Apple TV remote volume buttons being pressured, and the Apple TV learn device option wants to learn from the device’s remote, which doesn’t exist for ARC. Also, CEC is working - when I wake the Apple TV it powers up my projector. Many thanks for any guidance.

Brand new, out of the box Sonos Arc. Completely unresponsive. Forget about even trying to add it to my existing system; no lights even come on. I’ve tried various resets and ‘leave unplugged for 30 min’. Nothing works.  Figured I’d try customer support. Oh, they don’t work on weekends. That’s crazy!I’m a long time Sonos user (I still have a set of Sonos non-powered speakers that I use) and have had over 50 of their various units. I sing their praises to all of my friends. But no support on weekends; Sonos you disappoint me…Anyone have any trouble shooting tips?  I have approximately 40 hours before Customer support is available.

Voices are low on the arc when tv is playing but everything else is much louder. All sound affects sound good but the voice volume is to low. 

Hello community!  We today received our Sonos Beam to improve TV’s sound, but also to function as a nice voice controlled Spotify speaker in the kids room.To achieve this I connected the Sonos Beam to the TV with the HDMI cable to the HDMC ARC port of the TV. TV is Philips (Philips 32PFK5300/12) and the TV has in the Audio/Sound settings the TV speakers as ”Easylink” and HDMI ARC is on.But switching back to TV seems to have it’s issues. I have read other topics about this but I don’t seem to find answer.I have audio on the TV, e.g. playing Netflix on the chromecast — audio works on Sonos Beam — ok  I start playing from mobile phone’s Spotify and set the speaker to Sonos Beam — TV audio stops and Beam starts to play Spotify — ok Then — I’d like to stop Spotify and return to the TV audio. Following the tips and tricks here, the first thing I tried is ”Alexa, switch to TV”. She replies shortly ”okay”, but Spotify continues to play music on the Beam. Second what I tried is to stop the spo

HiI have just swapped from sky to virgin broadband but for some reason my one sl are not recognised,  I've hard wired my arc and used WiFi for my sub but when I try to add the ones it just says you need 2 compatible sonos speakers to add surrounds? Any help gratefull.

hiI am new to raspberry PI. I have a sub and 3 play 1’s and plan to ad the ARC at some stage. I want better sound quality than streaming off the phone or PC so I was planning on some changes.I like the rasperry pi so I was wanting to guy a PI hat audio streamer and play all my music through it to my sonos speakers. I was thinking of using roon too.I also have a Synology NAS and I want to stream from that too.Is there a way to make this happen?? I cant seem to work it out. Thx in advance.

Ok, need some helpnew house:34 in ceiling speakers all wired up to media closet7.1 surround set up one room wired to media closetwant ceiling speakers to play TV SOUND IN  7 of the rooms so assuming I will use HDMI ARC ON THOSE AMPS but want amps to all be in media room which is quite a run to the respective rooms so how do I use the ARC from that distance and not run new HDMI FROM MEDIA CLOSET AMPS TO TVS? 17 potential zones  bit crazy but 17 AMPS? Basically speakers in all the rooms not including two more zones for back yard.one connect for receiver Seems nuts    

Hello ALL,  I have recently been having issues where the sound from my Sonos ARC drops and doesn’t return until I switch the TV sound to internal TV speaker(s) and then back over to HDMI eARC - it does not return on its own.This has happened a couple of times while watching a Blu-ray/4k movie but tends to happen a lot more while streaming movies/shows from Hulu, Prime Video, Discovery +, etc….More specifically, it happens when the streaming service goes into an add or at the beginning of a show/start of a new episode.I have the Sonos ARC hooked up via the eARC HDMI port to my 65” (Model: 65NANO85UNA) LG NanoCell TV. The ARC, as well as the TV, are only a few months old. The Sonos worked fine at first but then started having this issue about a month after owning it, now it seems to be happening more often. My biggest challenge is determining whether or not it’s an issue with the TV or with the Sonos ARC. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!  Jack 

I have a song 4K TV, with a shield as my OS. Shield then goes into an HD Fury Arcana (as TV does not have eARC) which then goes into my Arc 5.1.2 surround system.However I cannot get the volume to work over CEC. It works if I bypass the Arcana, but the Arcana is set to use CEC, so I’m at a loss. If I take the Arcana out of the equation and keep the same settings then CEC works.Has anyone got this setup to work with CEC and if so any tips on what else I can try.TIA

I’m trying to determine how to best setup the following scenario.  I would like a Smart TV and a TiVo Mini to be able to send their audio signals to a Sonos AMP that powers two speakers.  The TV is separated from the AMP and TiVo Mini.  There is a single CAT6a cable that runs from the TV to the AV Closet.Sonos AMP - located inside AV Closet, powers 2 outdoor speakers.Outdoor Smart TV - outside on rooftop deck, its video sources are its own internal streaming apps and a TiVo Mini Vox.  This TV has HDMI ARC as well as additional HDMI ports.Tivo Mini Vox - as noted above,  a video source for the outdoor TV and located in the AV Rack next to the Sonos AMP. I’m almost certain that i’ll have to use an HDMI extender (HDBaseT or other) as the only cable between the two locations is the CAT6a run that is about 130ft.  Since i’d like the TV’s own audio from its streaming apps and the TiVo Mini’s audio to play over the Sonos powered speakers I’m pretty sure I need the HDMI ARC port of the TV to c

Hoping this helps out a Panasonic plasma owner in future  🙂 This tv has 3 HDMI ports. HDMI 2 is the one with Audio Return Channel (ARC).  Initially I plugged my Firetv 4K into HDMI 3 and did appropriate setup.  Nothing   Changing the Amazon stick to HDMI 1 did the trick   Cheers   

hello,The Sonos phone app is not connecting/ finding the Sonos beam, i.e. When I got to the Sonos app, it does not discover my product during setup. When I first installed the Sonos beam, the app worked but it stopped working without any changes to the system or network. I haven’t been able to get it working since. My setup   I have a sonos beam connected to my TV using HDMI-ARC. The TV has a ethernet connection to the router. The beam works fine as it is playing the TV sounds. I have no other Sonos devices. The beam is not connected to the router directly (only through the TV). I have 2 wireless networks - one from  eero and other from FIOS router. I have tried the following but without successreboot the beam install/ reinstall the Sonos app rebooted my phone tried connecting to beam using 2 different iPhones (don’t have an android phone to try) tried from different distances (close to the beam and further away) setup both wireless networks on the TV and tried connecting with both net

Hello Experts, I’ve got a pretty square room and the ARC works great. We are planning to get a new TV unit which has a raised shelf on the right and i’m worried it might act as wall and reduce the distance the ARC needs to bounce the sound. The ARC will sit on top the Unit above the hole. Will the ARC be able to cope with the slightly elevated section on the right or will it be a problem?   

I have 2xplay:1 speakers and 2x One SL (kitchen & office) speakers all in different rooms. They are all on network channel 11 and all 4 have the white light on the top.First the kitchen one no longer appeared on the list of speakers. It would still play music from the previous time it was used. I reset it and my router and still no luck. Then randomly it came back, but the office one disappeared off my list.Tried resetting the office one but no luck. It is now still got white light. Edit: after typing this the office one is now showing on my iPhone, but not my laptop. If I try to join it in to a group it says it can’t connect.

I’m looking to setup a 5.1 system using an Arc, Sub and two One SLs for rear channel.I hate the look of the rear speakers mounted on the wall, plus I don't have much space behind me as the couch is flush against the wall. I was wondering if anyone has mounted the Sonos One or SLs inside the wall? I did find this interesting mount from widgetsinc but I’m wondering how much sound I will actually be losing by doing this, even after trueplay tuning. As I understand it, the Sonos One’s are not just front facing and so being enclosed like this may be too boomy or distorted? I’ve also considered the alternative by simply going with traditional third party in-wall speakers and Sonos Amp to start, but don’t want to lose trueplay ability +plus cost of Amp. The sonos architectural speakers seem too expensive for what it is.

Hello guys, So I'm a bit perplexed. I've tried reading previous entries and discussions, yet still no luck. The YouTube Music integration is simply useless. It connects fine, but then show nothing other than the playlist "Liked songs", where I'm unable to play any of them because of "Access Denied". It works wonders with Spotify though. This whole Sonos ecosystem is suppose to be without any hassle. So can anyone tell me, what button i have to click, so actually use YouTube music on my Sonos Arc?? Sorry if I sound angry, but this really shouldn't be needed 

The Arc work perfectly as you would assume. The sub only works when I switch the Arc to wireless. I though I could have the Arc hardwired while having the sub wireless. No matter what I do, I cannot get this to work. At one point, It said the sub was connected to the Arc but it didn’t produce any sound. It had a white light. Again, if I switch both the Arc and Sub to wireless it works fine. Thanks

I just bought an ARC for the the living room so I moved the Beam to our bedroom.The bedroom TV is a Samsung 43" Class TU7000 (un43tu7000fxza). The ARC port is labeled eARC and that's what it's plugged into, from what I understand that should work. My Beam is the only thing plugged into the it and it's the same cable that was working with my Sony TV in the living room.HDMI eARC mode is enabled along with Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). I've hard power cycled both the beam and tv, both unplugged and plugged in, I've also factory reset the beam and that did not resolve the issue.I can mange the beam with the Sonos app and am able to play music on it, but when running the connection troubleshooter on the Sonos app it's telling me CEC is not connected.Any and all advice is appreciated, thank you!

Hello,I own a Sony 65XH9077 running Android TV, that’s hooked up to Sonos Arc.I have the strangest issue where I can never switch back to TV’s built in speakers, while the Arc is connected. If I change the output to TV, playback stops (e.g. Netflix, HBO Go, etc.), and the output gets switched back to the Sonos Arc after a couple of seconds.Any ideas how to fix this please? My current only solution is to phisically disocnnect the Arc or unplug it from mains.Why woudl I want to not use the Arc? That’s a different “issue” I’m kind of facing. The Arc, at the lowest volume (which on TV shows as 2, even though on TV speakers output I get increments of 1’s, with the Arc I get incremetns of 2), it’s still too loud to use durring the night. One solution was to use volume limiting in the S2 app for the Arc, but that’s just like trowing away half of it :)

Any help pleasei turn my tv off and it turns the arc off but then about 10 seconds later the arc starts playing the tv audio although the tv is still off, so u then have to tap the button on top to stop itanyone have this issue?
