Hey:I started to use my Sonos system for surround sound.Since I switched from stereo to surround sound, my Sub started to make a low-frequency popping sound. I think this happens whenever the system enables surround sound.I submitted a diagnostics report: 1110098891It would be great if I could get some help.Best wishes,Martin

I have the latest Apple TV 4K (2nd generation) and a new 2021 65” Samsung Q70A tv and a Sonos ARC paired with two Sonos one SL’s.  When using the native apps on the Samsung TV everything work great.  I get Dolby Atmos sound with the apps that support is and the sound is fantastic.  When I use the Apple TV 4K, I consistently have issues with the audio dropping.  We use the DirecTV Stream app the most, and the problem occurs there a lot.  This was also the case when it was AT&T TV.  When starting the app, sometimes there is no audio and if we keep changing channels, it eventually will work, but then stop again sporadically.  Also sometime the sound works fine at startup, but will drop when changing channels.  All devices are up to date with firmware and I have tried every combination of settings and recommendations from Sonos, Samsung and Apple forums.  Does anyone have this same setup (or similar) and have a solution?

I have a Sonos ARC that was prefessionally installed on my LG 65UN8500AUJ about 5 months ago. It worked fine until last week. Then stopped sensing the TV. I have reset it three times and that works until I turn off the TV. Next time I turn the TV on the TV icon is not available on my iPhone App. I have to reset it again. What happened?

I hesitate to even suggest this solution, as for many months my LG CX 55 inch OLED (OLED55CXAUA) randomly stopped outputting ARC audio to my [Sonos Beam Gen1 + Play:1x2] system requiring me to physically unplug the Beam’s HDMI cable from HDMI Port 2 on the TV multiple times a week. The TV would just output to its internal speakers while completely ignoring the Sonos setup until I re plugged it in. I was getting to the point of worrying about the TV’s HDMI port 2 getting worn out.All prior suggested solutions on this website have been temporary at best, but I seem to have found a durable solution that has lasted me the past four weeks of regular usage, found by reading multiple posts about this issue and parsing together a solution through trial and error. Of note, I first thought this was an Apple TV / LG CX / Beam problem, but I have realized after changing multiple settings on my Apple TV 4K Gen 2 (tvOS 15.1 with output forced to Dolby 5.1) over many months that it was a red herring 

Hello. I own both a Sonos One and a Sonos One SL. One of them is in my living room, the other is in my bedroom. I’m having issues with my Sonos One, which is the one in my bedroom. If I’m listening to music on my One SL, and I press the “play/pause” button on my One, it will give me an “error sound” and blink orange 9 out of 10 times. If I have manually connected and played music on it within the last half an hour, it will accept the “play” command, but there will be a buffer of 20-30 seconds before any music is played through the speaker. I have a brand new Asus RT-AC86U router, so wifi connection should not be a problem, also the One in my bedroom is no more than 3-4 meters from my router, with only a wall between them (which doesn’t have anything inside it interfering with the wifi connection). Hi, all. Seems like quite a few of us on this board are having issues with loud popping during Atmos or other codec playback. I have read each thread on this board with no resolution from Sonos offered. I see this problem going back as far as Nov 2020.Here’s my suggestion: Write an accurate/truthful review on social media or the review board of where you purchased the product from. Let other potential buyers know that this problem is out there and has not been addressed by Sonos.Maybe when Sonos sees these accurate/truthful (yet negative) reviews of their product we will get some fixes from Sonos.For me, I will be posting my review on Crutchfield and Twitter.

Hi SonosHow easy is it for guests who come to my house to play their own music?Is it simple? Hi all, I recently upgraded to both a new TV, along with my recently purchased sonos arc and sub gen 3 I have had for a few months.My TV is a Philips 65PUS7556/12 65 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV. It said it has atmos sound along with E-arc hence my decision to buy it. I currently have a SkyQ box connected with premium Netflix plan. I use this for Netflix.The main question I have is, does my current setup enable me to have dolby atmos. Is it absolutely essential to have rear speakers added to my current setup for atmos to be enabled, and will this in turn show up on my sonos app? Can the arc and sub gen 3 give a true atmos experience just by itself? Kind regards. 

I’ve never had Sonos equipment, but am looking to simplify my setup and am very interested. What I’m looking at doing is getting a new TV and get rid of my huge TV stand that houses a standard 5.1 receiver setup. I’d like to instead wall mount the TV and a sound bar and get rid of the equipment that takes up floor space. What I’m planning is:65” LG C1 OLED TV wall mounted Sonos Arc soundbar wall mounted Sonos Amp connected to my outdoor speakers (Klipsh AW-650’s) Probably not important for this question, but a small cabinet or wall mounted shelf to house my internet modem, router, and Sonos Amp. My questions are:What would the recommended wiring/connections be for this setup? I’ve gathered that I’ll use the HDMI 2.1 connection between the TV and soundbar, but it’s unclear to me how the rest should be connected (although I’m hoping they’re just all connected wirelessly through my home network).  What is my interface for controlling my outdoor speakers? Hi, all. i recently purchased a Beam Gen 2 to pair with my AppleTV 4k and Sony TV. While a show is playing or while I am listening to music, I get a loud pop noise and the TV turns off. Very annoying and problematic. Any suggestions? Thanks, Paul

I have the arc/sub setup with my new Samsung QN84 through the E-arc port. I have my Apple TV 4K plugged into HDMI port 1. If I watch any content on Netflix, Disney + that has Atmos audio, everything works perfectly fine and sounds incredible. However, if I then go to play a show that is not Atmos quality, “sometimes” the audio does not come through at all. “sometimes” it does play in Multichannel 5.1 as it should. It seems to be very buggy and inconsistent. I have tried multiple HDMI cables, all HDMI ports other than the E-arc where the Arc is connected, and the issue remains. The TV settings I have are HDMI-earc Mode on auto and Digital Output Audio Format to Pass-Through.  If I turn Atmos off on the Apple TV and select 5.1, everything plays completely fine with zero issues. Unfortunately Apple support seems clueless on this, so hoping somebody here has seen this issue and has a recommendation that could prevent me from having to manually turn Atmos on when I want to watch certain con

Hi sonos experts, I have a set up with sonos beam 2 and a pair of one, for the surrounding sound, I wonder when I am playing music, and the music is stereo, is this surrounding set up just playing stereo sound from the main speaker which is Beam here, then what is the sound coming from the two rare speaker? part of the stereo sound?  thank you for answering  

I just purchased the Sonos Sub (3rd gen).  Dropped $750, it’s beautiful, was excited to try it out. After hitting the join button and doing the NFC phone connection, it prompts me to choose a wireless network.  It can’t detect any 5ghz networks.  I live in a densely populated area and so there are plenty of both 5ghz and 2.4ghz networks, but it can’t detect any of the 5ghz networks. I only have a 5ghz network at home; I don’t have a 2.4ghz, so that’s not an option for me to connect to. The tech specs clearly state the sub connects to 5ghz wifi.  What gives? https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/sub#2WiFiConnect to WiFi with any 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4 or 5 GHz broadcast-capable router.

Since they we have been trying to find a solution to an ongoing issue. The sound stops working when going into apps and hoping around channels via our Direct Tv Stream App. The fix thus far is to just keep clicking back and forth between channels and usually the sound comes back. When it does not after multiple attempts, we close out the Direct Tv App and re-open and then it can work again.Also has effected other apps(Hulu, HBO, Showtime, YouTube) seemingly at random. Again, can try hopping around some in hopes in works or close/re

Is their no other way to pair play 1’s with a smart tv, other than taking the tv digital output into a connect/or similar then pairing that to the play 1’s. Thank you in advance. 

I have a Sonos Beam that is connected to my Roku TV via Arc. I also have two Sonos SL speakers. Whenever I use the TV, which is setup to only play though the Beam, it works fine. When I then want to play music on all three speakers, the Beam disappears from the system in the app (the TV is powered down when I do this). If I unplug and plug in the Beam, it shows up without doing anything to reconnect it in the App System settings. This is super annoying to have to unplug and plug-in the Beam whenever I want to use it for music through the App with the other two speakers.

Hi,I’ve recently gotten a Beam (Gen 2). At first, touch controls were working just fine, but since a couple of days they’ve stopped working.I’ve checked the settings in the app, toggling touch controlls off/on doesn’t do anything.I read through the forum here, and some suggested a factory reset, which I did, but did not help either. I made a diagnostic, 43670915. Is there anyone that can help me with this issue? :D Kind regards

Hi all, Joined the community in the hope someone could confirm something for me.Just set up my Beam Gen 2 this evening and I’m having issues.There doesn’t appear to be any volume control showing, from the various forums I’ve read this appears to be an issue with my Samsung TV, I take it there is now work around for this?I am also getting lip sync issues on Sky Q, only works fine when using normal PCM thus missing out on DD / Atmos.I am trying to weigh up whether to just return the Beam or see if I can cope without a volume indicator and have to miss out on DD / Atmos whilst watching Sky Q.Hoping I am just being a complete novice here and I am just doing something stupid and would really really appreciate someone helping me with some advice.Thanks in advance! 

Hi,I got a beam g2 + symfonisk frame/picture speakers for rears (in a condo, will try to avoid adding the sub).Not sure how to place them. The common "av wisdom" is to place front speakers on ear level,and rear ones significantly higher for ambient sounds.However a bar sitting below the tv, if the tv is ear level, can not be that high. More importantly, most discussions on the subject here tend to advice ear - level placement for rear ones too. I also wonder about the distance from side walls, should it be based on same standards as regular surrounds, or does processing and flat on-wall form change something in that regard? Thank you

Have an OLED 4K Samsung TV sonnected vis E-ARC to the Sonos ARC & Directv with 2 GEN 3 Subs & 2 SL ones for Rear. I have Seatcraft theater seats with “soundshaker’ in them -- bought the AMP to use the RCA in and out to power these and so the seats will shake when playing a movie….Question is th following:When I added the AMP to the App it added it as its own room and will not allow me to add to “Home Theater” where the rest of the components - why? Need help or if this solution wont work Ill have to ship the AMP back as it would be a waste otherwise...

Hi all. So I want a wired network connection to my Beam. Rather then routing a separate ethernet cable, will a HDMI with ethernet cable from the Samsung TV’s eArc connection provide a wired connection to the Beam? TV has a wired connection via ethernet.

Sorry for what might be a basic question. I have the ZP100 and ZP80 in my house to do whole house music system for wired speakers through my house. They work great and do not want to update them. I am t thinking about the Arc and stone One speakers for a home theater setup. I have to use the “legacy /old” app for my current system. I assume I can add the Arc. But do I add it using my old app (add equipment) or do I add it using the new app and set it up as a new system?

I have a new Arc paired with a Gen 2 Sub and two Play 3s for surrounds.  All are running on S2 and the Arc is wired. I also have 8 legacy devices running on S1 and the root zone is wired. All S1 and S2 devices have reserved static IPs.  The problem is that lately, when I open the S2 app, under “System”  it indicates “3 Issues” and a red dot.  When I click on that,  I am given no more info, and when I click on “About My System” the Arc is missing, but the Sub and the two surrounds are shown. I do not see the Arc as a connected device in my router’s admin screens and I can’t connect to it using a browser to look at the network matrix.  I CAN connect to the surrounds and it shows the Arc as having the correct IP address but the network matirx shows the Arc as being undefined.The Arc is playing TV sound so it is definitely powered up and working. The usual fix is to “Find Missing Products” or reboot etc. but that is getting old.  This was happening before the recent DTS update (from today)
