I’m using an Insignia FireTV and some apps, despite S2 reporting a dolby digital signal, will NOT send sound to my rear speakers.  I’m using a Playbar with a connect Amp feeding surrounds.  Some apps like Netflix work perfectly, but others such as Xfinity Stream and Paramount Plus won’t send sound to the rears.  I tried streaming the same exact content via Roku ultras and it worked.  Anyone experience anything similar?  I’m leaning towards this being an issue with the apps or the tv itself but figured I’d start here. 

Help I have a beam gen 1 and 2 one sl as a basic home cinema system. The connection between the three keeps droppingI keep factory resetting the one sl"s, one shows then when I connect the other both diappear. I can tell you how many times I have rebooted. It has worked fine for months but recently (updates?), nothing works. I am so frustrated that I am close to chucking them in the bin! The Best I get is 2 showing in the app but not all three! When connect the third, that's when it goes wrong. Any suggestions as this is supposed to be plug n play. The router is WiFi 6, in the same room and no physical barriers, so don't pass the buck and blame the router. Help 

Hello,I have a 75” 2022 frame tv mounted on a concrete wall above our fireplace.  i purchased the Arc soundbar to mount under the tv and wondering how close to the tv i can mount it.  the directions say 5.5” and i’ve read in the forum 4”.  Is the reason for that distance so the uplifting speakers don’t block with the tv, cause if that’s the case the frame tv only protrudes 1” out from wall so I don’t think there would be a blockage?  I’d rather mount it 1-2” below the tv if possible.  I have 2 OneSL sitting behind our viewing area as well. Thoughts? Thanks, Jill

I have a Playbar connected via optical to my Sony KD-55XH905.Until recently I used my SkyQ remote to control the sound on my TV but I have cancelled my subscription and have to send back the Sky equipment.This forces me to use the Sony remote but although the TV shows the remote responding (volume bar appears on screen going up/down), the Playbar does not respond.I have gone through troubleshooting in the iOS app but it says it cannot find a response from the remote.Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi. It is not clear for me if I can use only 1 one SL for rear sound. I have an ARC + SUB and 2 one SL for front left and right. So i have no rear sound and my room config is not made to have 2 rear speakers. Can I just use 1 one SL for that? Is it going to work? Will I have sound going thru when I’ll watch a movie? Or listening music? Thanks in advance for your support.

The TV remote still works and the light blinks on the sonos if I adjust the volume but then sound is not working. Sometimes it will start working again and other times it does not. The setting for audio is the beam, it is not set up automatically choose audio. The connection is HDMI. I was told from the prior owner this was an issue he had with the beam and his TV. is there something I can do to fix this issue? All products are up to date. All products were have been power cycled. There are no other products connected to the TV. the beam doesn’t seem to give me any issues when I use music through the sonos app.

In my living room I have had two Fives and a Sub for some time. My turntable is plugged into one of the Fives, and everything works perfectly. Last week I bought an Arc. My plan was to use the Arc under the TV, and the two Fives as surround speakers, with the sub still tucked away in the corner - perfect.Sadly, this appears to not be possible as I had expected, as using a Five for a surround speaker turns off Line-In, which means I can no longer play records. As a result, I now have two setups in one room - one that I had before, and a separate setup for the Arc with no sub and no surround speakers.Have I reached the edge of what I can do? Does buying an amp fix this problem? (that seems mad). Is there any way to get all of my speakers to play nicely but still be able to play records? I would be extremely grateful for any coaching or ideas. Thanks.

Had Playbar and the volume at 15 was very loud. My Arc.. I have to put up to 30-35 .. help.. 

Thank you to all who reply, I appreciate your help. Currently I have an Arc with a Sub 3 and a pair of Moves. They are two separate rooms. I have just now ordered a pair of Fives and a second Sub3. I would like to remove the two Moves, but keep them paired and now if possible with the Arc and Sub3 add in the two new Fives which will of course be a stereo pair and the second Sub3.This I believe will allow me to have a surround system. Is there a best way forward to achieve this? Thank you for any and all suggestions. I 

Hi everyone, Does any of you know what could be the reason for the Sub casing to meltdown ? The sub is functional, but I am not sure if any of the internal components are affected. The sub was purchased new 8 months ago, and the warranty is still valid. I really love my SONOS system, and didn’t expect to see this on the case. Thank you in advance  

My One SL surrounds and Sub Mini no longer work after 14.18. I've had Arc and surrounds for almost a year without issue, and got the Sub Mini last week. Trueplay gives me a "lost speaker" error as well. The One SLs work individually and also in a stereo pair. Things I've tried…- Hard wiring Ethernet - Router reboots (Nest Wifi)- Assigned IPs for all Sonos products- Speaker reboots - Factory resets of everything, router included- Unpairing, repairing- Called Sonos support on 2 occasions One strange thing is that when playing music while surrounds are paired, the surrounds don't work but then suddenly work for half a second, then goes quiet again. Happens about once every 10 minutes. There's also a solo Beam in another room but I doubt that's causing any issues. I have no idea what to try any more. Open to any ideas or suggestions. Hi,I went from a 10+ year old 5.1 sound system for half the price to a sonos beam (gen 2) with sub mini and 2 one sl. Over all im impressed, the sound is amazing. Music sounds way better than before and so does the over all environmental sound in movies. However the speech sounds like it comes from a boosted small telephone speaker, no depth what so ever. On my old system the speech was not as clear but it still had more depth and sounded more natural and in sync with the rest of the soundpicture. Now it feels like the speech is coming from a different sound source than the rest of the sound. I vissited a friend who have an arc with sub gen 3 and 2 one sl and i actually felt the same way. We only tried console gaming, but the speech in the games sounded the same as on my system in movies, high piched and out of the picture. My companion in game (god of war ragnarok) sounded like i talked to him on the phone and not in the same environment.I have tested the loudness feature, trueplay tu

I was reading the support article that explains the wireless modes, and I noticed that a surround speaker or Sub should be in WM: 2. In my ‘About My System’ it shows my Sub in WM: 0. I have never seen it in WM: 2 regardless of what is playing (HDMI source vs streaming audio). The Arc also shows WM: 0. Neither Arc nor Sub are hardwired via ethernet, but I do have a Sonos One in the next room that is.Does this indicate that there is an issue or is this normal?  I do not currently have surrounds, so it is just the Arc + Sub.Thanks for your help!

I'm not the first reporting it, but not understanding from the other threads what i should do as a next step...Suddenly my sonos playbar gives a continous pitching noise. Doesn't change if i plug in out ethernet or optical.In any case, i expected this device to last a few decades. Anything i can try to fix it? Kr  

Just bought a Sonos arc and sub refurbished from sonos.com connected to Samsung qled via hdmi arc and original cable. But after 30 min there was a loud pop/crack and then shut down. This happen again after a reboot.  there was also some crackling/static sound once. diagnostic id : 1295034610   

I want to avoid having to pass wires through the wall if possible. Does know if I can connect a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) to Samsung Smart TV wirelessly?

I have two rooms with Sonos, Office with a Play 5, and Lounge that had a Playbar, and two Sonos One SL surrounds.  They have worked flawlessly for years.  A few months ago I had to disable the lounge system for home repairs and just reconnected the system.  In that time I have also upgraded to a Nest Pro 6e wifi system to replace the previous mesh. When reconnecting the lounge system - nothing worked - had to factory reset several times, the app could not find the devices, would fail halfway through etc.  The Playbar kept saying it wasn't getting power or wifi and I spent hours trying to get it to work.  Since I had an upgrade discount, and the room was refurbished, I decided to go ahead and get a Sonos Arc to replace the Playbar.I have the Arc paired with the two Sonos SL surrounds, but now I can’t tune the system, or check for updates as it can’t connect to the system.  My Amazon Music account can’t connect, but the system plays fine over eArc HDMI, and curiously has no issue connect

Anyone else having issues with the end speakers on their Sonos Arc? Purchased Sonos Arc just last year along with Sub and additional speakers and once installed they have not been moved or rearranged, etc yet one of the mesh fittings on one of the end speakers has completely come apart. Any recommendations or suggestions?

I have an Arc, One SLs and a Sub Mini connected to my Sony X95J through eARC and an AppleTV 4K. I keep encountering a problem where my Arc gets an HDMI error and my TV will only use the TV speakers and the Sonos app just stalls when I try and switch the audio to the TV (it says an error happened but no code). The issue is immediately fixed when I unplug the HDMI and plug it back in.From my initial observation it appears to happen mostly (only?) after I’m airplaying to the Sonos system and then try to turn on the TV to watch something.I do use my AppleTV remote as my primary remote that powers on the TV and starts to the last used input.I’ve spent hours googling this issue and can’t find much about it. Not sure if it’s the Sonos or my TV.

When Tv Autoplay is enabled it takes control of the Sonos Ray bar when playing music from Spotify (when Tv is off). I'm thinking the TV must be sending a signal via the optical cable and the bar detects this and changes input sources. With TV Autoplay disabled I have no issues, the same when unplugging the fibre optic cable with TV Autoplay enabled. Samsung TV.Anyone have any suggestions?  

I have recently purchased a 65” Samsung Frame TV and a Sonos Arc, they preform great and I love the sound from the Arc.The issue I’m finding is that under certian circumstances the Sonos does not connect porpoerly to the TV. I find that after the TV has been in the Media mode (displaying art work) for some time when I switch to TV the Sonos does not either connect or power up. The TV reverts to internal speaker and I have to go into settings to and change it. It works fine once this is done and even if you go from media and back to TV the Sonos remains working, it really seems to take some time before the same issue occurs. I’m wondering if others have seen this similar effect and or if there is any suggested resolution? I have chatted with Sonos support and they quickly sent me to Samsung before I could even ask if this was a know problem hence my post.

Without powering it up. Unit it disconnected from my system, so all I have is the serial number. The Beam itself does not say on the unit. Purchased new in October of ‘19. I’m fairly certain it’s a Gen 2. » I’ve powered it up. Still nothing that says G1 or G2.Bottom of unit says “Model S14”. Runs Sonos OS S2. Hardware version 1.23.1.10-1.9. Series ID: A100. Hi , I really need some advise as I’m getting lots of mix messages , To obtain surround sound can I use Sonos Celing and wall speakers with the arc 3rd gen and sub 3rd gen all runnning from the Sonos ampive been told that I should only do the Celing speakers or wal speakers combined with the arc and sub connected in to the amp to get the best sound surround tv experience  can someone please advicethanks
