I have an Arc, sub gen 2 and a pair era 300’s.  I found an old thread that was advising if you have an arc connected via Ethernet, the sub should not be connected Ethernet because of the 5ghz network the home theater setup creates for itself.  The person in the tread had a gen 3 sub and since I have a gen 2, I was wondering if this is still the case.  FYI, I also have 3 other rooms that are all wireless connections  Thanks

My entertainment space is rather limited, around 3.5x3m currently having an Arc and Sub gen3. It would be nice to have a pair of Era 300s as surround speakers but I’m not sure if they would work in this space. Especially as I need to keep the shelf on the wall (I can move it but it has to be on that wall). This is the space, would it make sense to get those speakers here and if so, how should I place them? 

My Ray sound bar is about one year old. It is connected to my TV. Recently it has been making a high pitched alarm/alert siren sound. The sound is deafening so I unplug it and that is the only way it stops. The sound goes off after close to an hour of using the sound bar, but it never did that before. It just started happening last week. Please advise. 

Hi, I have an issue with my Sonos soundbar setup.I have a 2021 Samsung AU8000 TV, Sonos Beam Gen 2 (Sonos HDMI cable) and Apple TV 4K 2022 (connected via HDMI 2.1 cable).I have just upgraded from Apple TV 4K 2017 and I started having a strange sound issue with eARC, Pass-through and Dolby Atmos enabled. The sound is distorted - high pitched and out-of-sync.If I disable any of the mentioned options, it goes back to normal. Also, this applies only to content from ATV, all internal Samsung apps sound fine.I’ve upgraded my ATV HDMI cable (no change), updated Sonos to 15.10, re-adopted my Sonos System and tried myriad different options on the TV or ATV.So in conclusion, the only change was upgrading Apple TV from 2017 to 2022 model and the issue appeared.

Sonos arc volume increases on its own

First of all I apologize for my not perfect english.I bought a whole system with sonos arc + 2 sonos one sl.I spent a lot but I was super happy with the quality of the audio and the superb rendering of the dialogues. To my amazement I discovered that I didn't need the sub woofer as the bass was really full and high quality.However then comes the surprise: continuous sound dropouts made watching content frustrating. I had to pause, wait 2-3 minutes, and then resume listening. This happens really often. I replaced 3 sonos arc and they all gave me the same problem.Before sonos arc i had jbl bar 9.1 and lg soundbar 3.1.2, the audio quality is not comparable to sonos arc but they never gave me problems of sounds dropouts.To my enormous regret I have decided to make the PERMANENT RETURN of the sonos arc+ 2 one sl system and never to buy SOnos again until they decide to recognize and fix this crap!For now I would say: FAREWELL SONOSP.S. my own

Hi.I currently have a Beam (gen1).If I buy 2 sonos one SL will they work as surround speakers?Thanks in advance

Looking to add 2 Sonos surround speakers to pair with a Epson ls800, Sonos Arc Soundbar, and a Sonos Subwoofer for a big family room.  What would be your recommendations?  Thank you in advance!

Hello,I have a Sonos ARC + Sub mini and 2 Sonos One, everything works well.Now I want to add a Sonos One SL on the same “room” and it seems imposible…Also doesn’t work on TV. (only ARC + 2 one)So if I understand on TV, I can't add more speakers ?

Hi everyone,I have a problem with my Beam Gen2. I just got it 2 days ago and I’ve been trying to set it up with my LG TV but there is always some issue. It is connected through eArc HDMI port. This is present situation:PHONE: If I play music on Youtube music or Spotify (both premium versions for what it’s worth) through Sonos app it is ok.PHONE: If I use Youtube or Spotify app directly it won’t find speaker so it is not ok - sound is only on my phone.TV: If I play music through Spotify or Youtube TV app there is no sound at all. Actually there is sometimes intermittent sound for splits of second which comes and goes. So music video is there playing on my TV but sound is not there.Netflix is working fine except there is every now and then some short glitch in sound. I could live with this last thing cause I cannot be sure whether it is due to speaker or TV or Netflix or my internet connection, but the problem with TV is killing me.I’ve tried

Hi is Sonos playbar compatible with the sub mini

Edit: please don’t mind the last part of the title.So I have the following room (two options below): Given that I want to use the room for cinema and mainly spatial music using the minimum space possible:Do I need the most potent sub, speakers and soundbar? Do you think the soundbar should face the end of the room, or is it the same for sound quality if it faces the other (open) end? Finally, where do you think the rear speakers and sub should be placed? 

I have a Ray and a Sonos One and wondered if the One can be used as surround (ish) sound with the Ray.  This would be for tv playback mainly.   I’m getting a new Era 100 for my home office and want to make use of the One.

HiI recently upgraded to Sonos Arc, Sub and Era 300’s from Playbar, sub and Sonos One.  The Playbar and Sonos One set up worked on all TV channels.Now when watching Foxtel I only get sound on some channels.  HD Free to air channels work but SD don’t.  Some Foxtel channels work but not all of them.I’ve tried playing around with sound settings on both the TV and Foxtel box to no avail.Arc connected to HDMI ARC and Foxtel connected through HDMI.  TV Sony 65X8500D. 

So I currently have a sonos beam (gen 1) and soon to add two symfonisk picture speakers as rears, plus a (gen 1) sub.In the same room, I have an existing, old 5.1 setup, which is 3 KEF motorised ceiling speakers, two rear ceiling speakers of unknown make, a KEF PSW3500 subwoofer and a DENON AVR-2807 amp.What I am trying to work out is whether I could replace the amp with some kind of sonos amp and link it all together for some sort of mega super duper dolby atmos 7.1 or better system?I doubt both subwoofers could be used. I also know that I would need at least a gen 2 beam for atmos.(btw, i know it’s a bit mad to have two 5.1 systems in one room. The reason I bought the beam, and began the whole sonos journey to begin with, is because the ceiling mounted cinema system speakers are right beneath the kids bedrooms and can’t be used while they’re in bed, which is every night after 7pm. But we still use them when they’re not.)  

Should they sound like they are directly above the listener on the couch? or should they sound like they are coming from above the the TV/soundbar?I watched Roma(Atmos confirmed in app) during the forest fire scene, and played with the height volume. It definitely made a difference in terms of sonics but I could mainly place the sound, not directly above my head, but more above the TV towards the ceiling. I didn't get a feeling like it was directly above me or around me in a 360 effect.My sound bar is on a media unit. The top firing drivers are not obscured by anything. The bottom of the sound bar is 6ft 4 inches from the ceiling which is flat. My listening position is approximately 7ft 8 from the soundbar.Peter Pee's arc placement video says I may need to til the rear of the soundbar forwards by an inch, to fully optimise the height channels. Has anyone else done this? i

The HDMI cable will not stay in the sonos ARC. Anyone else find a solution? 

Hi, going to buy a Sub (Gen 3 ) to go with my Beam (v1) - any suggestions RE: rear room speakers ?

Controlling volume on my Arc from my Amazon remote is often spotty, sometimes no reception.   I usually have to turn the remote upside down to get reception.  I have changed the batteries and re-paired often.  Re-pairing seems to help but only a short time (only a few hours) before reception degrades again. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?  Any fixes?       

Hi We have a 5.1 set up with a 1gen beam and 2 sonos play in our front living room. We are creating an open plan extension and looking to create the same (or better) in the TV area (which is the wall with the 2 single windows). The floor will have wet UFH and I assume I need to cable in power to middle of the floor to have power sockets for each speaker. Thinking double socket to live under sofa (which will be an L shaped sofa. I’ve attached floor plan and also looking to how this should tie in else where. We will get an Arc and we have several sonos 1’s that could be used for rear speaker. Considered using ceiling speakers for atmos instead of 5.1 set up. I’d love some advice on set up for all open plan area inc dining and kitchen. I’m also thinking of finally adding a sub as no attached neighbour on the media wall. All advice welcome as I;d like to ensure I get the cabling right for contractors and take advantage of black friday deals before my other half says we cant affor

I see this problem has been reported for over a year and no fixes still. I can’t even listen to Atmos music on my appletv or use it to play atmos movies because of the super loud pop and shutdown. This has been a know issue since back in 2021. I read no fixes at all on the forum. Just tried to listen to a new Atmos Remastered album and it sounded like my Arc blow up then shut down. On top of that I’ve never heard a single sound come out of the top firing speakers on it using atmos on any other app that plays atmos.  At this point I’m unsure if the Arc even plays atmos content at all. 

Ive had my arc for a few months now.  Today I was playing xbox and a sudden loud pop happened then my audio left. The sound eventually returned.  I'm considered about any speaker damage or electrical damage.  

I’m still getting this issue if my Apple TV is set to Dolby Vision, which is confusing since the Arc goes through my Sony TV & not my Apple TV box? Looks like it’s been an issue for a while? Come on Sonos can you sort it oot? (As they say in Scotland😃)

My Sonos Beam (Gen 2) frequently makes a loud pop sound and then loses audio and restarts when playing Atmos content. My connected equipment is an AppleTV 4K (2022) and an LG OLED C2. All equipment has the latest firmware updates. Disabling Atmos does not seam like a reasonable fix since Atmos sounds is an advertised purpose of the Beam (Gen 2) and why I upgraded. Are there any things to try to resolve the issue?
