Home Theater

Hi I have Sonos AMP, 2 wired sonos celing spicers, sonos soundbar Beam Gen2 and sonos sub Gen3. Can I link them and use as surround ?

Can you add the ceiling speakers to the ARC, Sub and 2x One SL's? Been all over YouTube and Google search, but can't find anything solid. Tried to get the Atmos effect to the fullest.

I’ve been using SONOs products for the past year, and never had any problem with them playing music. However, I could never connect via Bluetooth to my Sony Bravia TV (2020, 65-inch - Model # KD-65KX75CH) so I bought an ARC this past month. I connected the HDMI directly into it, and … It wasn’t the miracle home theater experience I was looking for. PROBLEM:* The sound constantly cuts out every 30 seconds for a brief second (noticeable)* When turning audio up/down via my SONOs app or the remote control there’s also a blip in the soundREMEDY:* ?IS THIS:* A Google App/SONOs issue?* Do I have to play with my settings somehow? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or solutions.

Hi All,Hoping to get some support here as Sonos support has been highly disappointing. I have had a Sonos Arc and Sub Gen3 for 7 months and recently added a pair of One SL’s to make the system a compplete 5.1.2. There were no issues initially until last week and quite recently I have started to experience the below symptoms: Sub Gen 3 and Surrounds completely pair out and produce no sound Produce Lag when a track is played All speakers show Online in the app (Arc+Sub+LS+RS)  and I dont see “?” Problem is consistent across platforms when it happens » Playing TV, Apple Airplay, Netflix, YoutubeI have a basic Wifi setup with dual band wifi and mesh that has been there for 6+ months. Initially, I tried rebooting each device which resolved the issue temporarily until it occured again. I then resetted the whole system from scratch starting with Arc, Sub and surrounds each. However, the problem didnt go away. I raised a case with Sonos and to my luck, I came across engineers who dont fully un

I was wondering if anyone had a solution for a scratched top of a Sonos Playbase other than just living with it? Whether it be a cover, a special solution or even reaching out to Sonos to see if they’d sell a replacement shell. I’m less disappointed than I would have been when I first got it, but I haven’t quite progressed to just letting it go. Thanks in advance to anyone that answers.

The Sonos Ray sounds perfect for my system. My question is this. I don’t use my TV remote but rather the Apple TV (4K 64 GB) Remote!  Is this going to work if the Sonos Ray is plugged into my TV an LG 27 UN850?

Couldn’t find the answer to this but was wondering if I could use the Sonos Arc with the Beam as the rear speaker for a home theater setup. Considering they can both do Atmos...was thinking it could be a nice setup. Thoughts?

Hi - I have the Sonos amp connected to two 3rd party ceiling speakers and my TV. Would the Sonos subwoofer be able to pair to the amp? Or would the speakers need to be Sonos too?cheers, nick

Can Rat be used as a Center channel with Sonos amp?

Hi allI have a LG CX connected to a Sonos ARC via eARC and HDMI 2.1 cable. I use the internal PLEX webos app to play back a variety of ripped media.Plex server is running latest verion on Windows 11. Ryzen 5950x, 32GB Ram and RTX3070 gfx card. Enough to handle just about anything.Sonos ARC doesn't supports DTS after update (convertes to PCM I believe)The LG CX doesn't support DTS at all but pretty sure was updated to support 8 channel PCM. It will support TRUE HD + ATMOS via HDMI from an external source (bluray player etc). Internal sources (apps) will not passthrough True HD.The TV HDMI sound output is set to passthrough (webos settings).Plex webos app on LG CX set to accept all sound formats except DCA/DTS.When playing media back via the Plex app TRUE HD is converted to Dolby Digital+ by the Plex server (confirmed by looking at Sonos app and plex dashboard).DTS (unsupported by TV) is converted is to AAC by the Plex server (confirmed by plex dashboard). However the Sonos app shows Dol

Hi! I’m a music teacher with a Smart Board with wimpy speakers.  Can I connect to my Beam with S/PDIF?  3.5mm?  HDMI OUT (I don’t know if this port is ARC.). Thoughts or experience? Thanls!

Hello, I have a Simfonisk frame speaker and I am interested in use as a speaker for a microphone, ..... there is any microphone that I can use with this speaker?? Any app?? Do you sell any wifi microphone that I can hook up with this wifi speaker?? I will appreciate your help please. Thanks

I've just bought and set up a new sonos Arc, every time I try to turn the volume up it resets to 15%.I've been through all the settings, loudness is on night mode is off, I've checked volume limit, that's set to 100%, this happens on all sources, tv, music streaming, blu Ray player, I'm not sure what to do, is this a return item 😢  I hope not.Any help greatly appreciated I've submitted a diagnostic number 149572032

Hi, I have a Sonos Beam and two Play:1s connected to a Samsung TV in our living room. I also have a Sonos Connect connected to a turntable in the living room, and when I want to listen to that I’ll group it with the Sonos Beam so the music plays through that and the Play:1s.The problem is that when I then ungroup the Beam from the Connect to use the Beam with the TV again, my Samsung TV no longer recognises it. I usually end up have to unplug all of the HDMI inputs to the TV and plugging them back in again, starting with the Beam. This is a bit of a pain as the TV is on a wall bracket and it’s not easy to get at the HDMI sockets at the back of the TV.Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening, and if there’s a way to reconnect the TV and the Beam without unplugging everything? Turning them off and on again doesn't seem to work. Thanks!

I was getting Dolby digital plus 5.1 (as it was showing in the Sonos app) while watching Netflix and prime video contents when I put the digital audio out settings on my Hisense TV to RAW. Since today morning it’s showing just Dolby Digital 5.1 rather than Dolby digital plus. But I couldn’t feel any difference in the audio quality. But how to make sure if I am getting actually Dolby digital plus 5.1. By the way the product I own is beam gen2.

I know Sonos does not release any of it's future plans but I'm just wondering about future speakers.Does any suspect or think Sonos may offer Atmos enabled rear surround speakers. I see quite a few brands have Atmos sound bars plus Atmos Surrounds.I'm adding more Sonos speakers to my home but If rather just move my current Sonos One's that are currently surrounds to other locations in my home if there is any hope of new surrounds coming.  Do I want to play the waiting game or take chance and purchase new speakers now

I have a oled Lg Tv and just hooked up a arc and two one SLs for surround. When watching a movie with Dolby atmos everything works great but with DD+ 5.1 sound only comes from the arc.  Below are pictures of how everything is currently set up. The arc is hook through hdmi arc port and is set to auto not pcm

HiI just got my sonos arc.I connected it to my samsung UA55F6400 tv ARC HDMI connectorAlthough My TV supports Dolby 5.1.The SONOS app shows the output only as Stereo PCM.Why is that?

So I recently bought a Samsung q800a neo qled 8k TV and has decent speakers as it is. If I buy the ceiling speakers and amp and connect to TV will I only get sound through the ceiling or will it be ceiling and TV? And will this be the same if I use Spotify on the sonos app?

I've got a Playbar connected to my TV paired with 2 Play 1s as surround (no sub) My PC used to be connected to a half decent Sony surround amp via toslink with 5.0 speakers. Only I wasn't using it - I was using headphones through a USB DAC 99% of the time. I've also got 2x Play 1s in my study for music.I think I still want my PC to have speakers, so I'm thinking.…I've got my upgrade discount to use. I could replace the Playbar connected to the TV with a Beam gen 2. I can't see how I can justify (room size?) or really afford (wife) an Arc.I then use the playbar toslinked to my PC. It can also replace to 2 x play 1s, which are then spare.Any downsides?? How much of a downgrade / upgrade will a beam be compared to the playbar? That leaves me with some spares.... How steam proof are Play 1s??  I've got a "spare" play 5 that I use around the bathroom (not in) and I kind of think a pair of 1s on the floor in the bathroom might be better? (obviously I could use the play 1s as surround speaker

Hi, I have a beam and 2 play 1’s as my TV setup connected to HDMI ARC. Been working fine for over a year and I haven’t changed any settings I have audio ouput set to follow content so depending on channel/show it will change from Stereo PCM to Dolby 2.0 and 5.1. However all of a sudden when changing channel or entering an app eg Netflix where the output is changing between one of these there is a sharp bleep noise lasting 1-2 seconds which is pretty unpleasant almost everytime you change channels. Any assistance? I don’t want to have to change audio settings to just pcm as kind of defeats the surround sound point! Thank you

Hi, I am currently using a sonos beam under the screen with two sonos one on each side of my couch and a sub beside my couch for my home theatre setup I am remodeling my home and would love to replace the beam with 2 in-wall speakers placed on each side of the screen and replace the two sonos one with two in-ceiling speakers placed on top of the couch and keep my sub near the screen. Can this be accomplished with only one sonos amp?

Is there any posibility that the screensaver shown when the Beam is selected as an HDMI input on your TV could be modified? I know it’s a bit retro and perhaps not too cool, but something like a spectrum analyser, or at least some colour nice...

Hello friends,I own a Beam 1gen working with 2xOne SL as surround speakers. When I play movies encoded with AAC 5.1, the audio is played on the Sonos system as Stereo PCM. I understand this is due to Sonos not licensing AAC audio.Howeve, today I read that the Beam 2gen and the Arc are both compatible with Multichannel PCM and Dolby Multichannel PCM. Does this mean the Beam 2gen and the Arc will play media encoded with AAC 5.1 audio as Multichannel PCM?Hope someone can clear this up for me.

Keep losing sound from my Arc after loud pop.  Diagnostics ticket 182111920 and 1452917050Please advise
