Soundbar crackles sometimes. How do I fix this? Seems like a lot of people complaining about this. My diagnostic #8262397 . Thank you

When I group a Connect AMP and Playbar (which is connected to a TV), I can't control the volume using the TV's remote as a group, it only adjusts the volume of the play bar. This means I have to reset the balance of the speakers within the group everytime someone adjusts the volume using the TV remote. This is a real pain. Is there a way the group volume can be controlled by the TV remote?

I had my playbar connected to my Panasonic Viera. I got a new TV and connected the playbar to the new TV and I want to use my old Panasonic in another room without Sonos speakers, but no sound is coming out of the TV. How do I reset my TV speakers and remote so that I can use them again without Sonos?

I am thinking about buying the 5.1 home theater system as seen here: https://www.amazon.com/Sonos-Home-Theater-System-PLAYBAR/dp/B01KU6YQTY/ I have a few questions: How many drivers does the system have in total? What is the frequency range of the entire system altogether? What is the amount of watts this system has altogether? I hope you guys can help me with my questions! Thanks very much! Sonos used to have fantastic support. Where has the support gone? Anyone else agree?

It appears that the sonos system relies on a network broadcast to add components to the system. Unfortunately, this limits the system to a single IP subnet. Could enhancements be made to the compnents and software to allow for the system to exist across multiple subnets? Think of this as an advanced configuration for system administrators to do and not your average home/small business user. This would enable the sonos system to be utilized through enterprise deployments where multiple locations all have wide area network connectivity which would allow for control of all of the offices from a centralized location. Furthermore, additional basic security could be added to perhaps limit access to rooms.

Make sure you update all software on your tv, blu-ray player, and set-top cable box. I made two changes on my Samsung blu-ray player bd-f5900 (changed digital output setting to the 4th menu choice - Bitstream (Re-encoded Dolby Digital) and set Downmixing Mode to Surround Compatible); and two more changes on my tv - I changed the HDMI Audio Format to Bitstream and turned HD Audio setting to On. Then, I changed a setting in my ATT dsl cable box from digital output Stereo to Surround Compatible. Now, all my Hi-Def content shows up as Dolby Digital 5.1 input on my playbar - all my 5.1 movies, netflix, etc. Sounds great!

Hi there Just installed a Bridge, Playbar and Play5. Having problems though accessing fully my iTunes on my iMac. Also neither my iPad nor iPhone5 can access all of my iTunes library and play music on the Playbar. Message states it cannot access iTunes on my iMac Please can you help?

I ran the update last night and woke up this morning and my Playbar and two Play:1s won’t give any sound from the TV. Music still plays from Apple Music but nothing when I select TV. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The instructions provided by Sonos don't match up with current magic remote. The symbol provided after choose "home" does not show up. There is no choice to choose manufacturer. If I choose Optical connection only (vs. sync with TV speakers) the remote will not work.

Controlling audio Remote control from Samsung q7 55 to a Sonos PLAYBAR - how does it work

I am trying to hear My Sony system through a new playbar instead of the speakers that came with the system. There is a HDMI output to my tv and I have the Sonos supplied optical cable from the tv to the playbar. I can see a DVD played on my Sony system but not the sound. There are no other audio outputs from the Sony system, except for individual speaker connections.

Hi. I have a kinda large great room where the TV is. The room is all tile will windows to the left of the TV, front door to the right. Straight out is a wall and it also opens up to the kitchen and dinning area. The room itself it 26Lx22Wx16H. I currently have two Definitive Tech Pro1000's (left/right) and a ProCenter 1000 along with a ProSub 700. It sounds good, but nothing amazing and nothing bad by any means. I connect that to Sonos via a Connect. I'm seriously considering dumping all the AV gear and going with a Playbar and eventually adding the Play Sub and then later the surround sound Play: 1's. In a big open room like I have, am I better off upgrading the "traditional" AV gear with bigger speakers or do you think the Playbar will fill that room and be an "upgrade" of sorts over the DT speakers. I can say this, the ProSub 700 is WAY, WAY too small for this room. Thoughts?? Many thanks!!

I have only had the unit fora few weeks and when playing music the sound is fantastic and outperforms my expectation entirely. Unfortunately though it's primary duty of being a soundbar for me has been a terrible experience. My old TV was a cheap HD TV bought a good few years ago so the issues I was having I attributed to that, I had things running through a cheap optical splitter to get sound from both my sky q box and Xbox one without having to change cables all the time and had notices some auto clipping sounds and stutters which I attributed to this switch. Last Wednesday though I got my new TV a nice upgrade from the previous a 55" LG 4K and plugged in the optical eager to get rid of the manual switch (and be able to enjoy the native 4k netflix/prime apps). Since ... still getting the auto clipping/dropouts. The only thing it has resolved though is my Sky Q box when plugged directly into the playbar or through the optical splitter I would lose sound completely on some chan

Planning a whole house system. Want to share sources like Roku Ultra in main room with 5.1 audio with traditional wired speakers AND with the five other zones using the Connect AMP(s). Can I connect my AVR Zone 2 or Zone 3 output to the Connect AMP's line In? Considering using the Denon AVRX6400H. Thanks

Hey guys - so I'm pretty new to the Sonos ecosystem and pretty dang happy with it but I have a question about some setup possibilities I've not been able to track down an answer for. I currently have two Play:Ones mounted up above my TV and a Playbase hooked right to it. Playbase works great with the TV and when streaming music, the Ones kick in in stereo with it splendidly. What I was wondering is if there's some way to set up the Ones so they play in stereo along with the Playbase when my TV has control. This is largely due to the fact that all my TV watching goes through my Apple TV box and it WOULD be great to control my music through that too. I'll admit to not being all that knowledgeable about theater audio systems. I do have the Ones setup as surrounds - but like, how do I even take advantage of that when it seems I get nothing from them when anything is going through my TV. I have a Connect:Amp in my living room, with terrific speakers, that flank my TV. And as gorgeous as the sound from the Playbar is, I wouldn't mind using my Connect:Amp as Front L/R speakers, and have the Playbar just do Front Center and coordinating the whole setup. Alternatively, there might be people with Play:5s that they'd like to use as Front L/R speakers.

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the sonos community and just installed a playbar and sub to my media room. I purchased a pair of Play:1s that I would like to pair with the playbar/sub for 5.1 surround. Until i can afford additional speakers, is it possible to designate a Play:1 speaker for multiple scenarios as they are moved to different rooms? Here is what I was thinking, Im not sure if all scenario are possible or just a combination: Scenario 1: 2 Play:1s connected to playbar for 5.1 surround in media room Scenario 2: 2 Play:1s in stereo in the kitchen Scenario 3: 1 Play:1 in bathroom I'm hoping I can unplug and transfer 1 or 2 of the speakers from room to room. I would place the speakers in the same spot so that the trueplay acoustics would remain consistent. Cheers

I want to get the TV sound out into the room. It's a large room with very high ceiling which makes for echo and muddy sound. We can't understand a lot of speech on the TV. I'm wondering about using a soundbar behind the sofa where we sit - about 15 feet from the TV. This could get the sound closer to our ears. Can this be done?

Hi I have a Philips flatscreen that does not have a toslink connector. I haven’t been able to use the Playbar unless I plug it into the cable box, but we never use cable, only Roku. I bought an analog to digital audio converter and I can get some sound to come through the PLAYBAR but it is garbled...the signal is corrupted or getting dropped. Has anyone had any experience with this or know if there’s a workaround? Perhaps may TV just flat isn’t comparable even with this converter I bought. NOTE - right now I’m trying RCA cables but will be buying and trying the digital audio coaxial cable option. Hoping that works better than the RCA audio out.

How can I link up my LG 4k tv, sonos connect and playbase to operate tv and playbase thru my Denon a/v receiver?

The Sonos speaker is never off. I wish I could just turn it off. (Please Sonos - it would be nice) I have the TV hooked up to the Sonos Soundbar with the optical cable. It's a samsung if that makes any difference. In the Samsung menu, I can say that I want the speaker to be the TV speaker or the optical - I set it to TV speaker, yet the Sonos is relentless and raising the volume on the TV remote (Disk Remote) raises the volume on the soundbar. I just want the TV speakers to be the only output! How do I fix this? I wish I had never coupled the TV remote with the Sonos and could just control the Sonos from my iPhone.

Currently my home theatre setup consist of playbar, sub and 2 play 1's. The playbar is connected to the optical out of a Oppo BDP 103. Since the sub does not have an in/out port, I was wondering if I could directly connect the bass shaker to the tsub woofer out of the Oppo or do I need to purchase a connect amp for this purpose. Hi, In a configuration playbar + 2 play 1 as surround, is it possible to have always a multichannel stereo configuration always? I mean music and TV? Because of noisy neighbors I need to always have audio also in the surround. Thank you Camillo
