Dear people from sonos,I have a sonos beam (gen 2) and I'm very happy with it. I have a issue with the voice commands lately and would like to solve this problem. If I ask ‘hey google, play ….. on spotify’ it says: '’Oke, I will play the playlist of ….. on spotify’ and then nothing happens. I already put the sonos bar off and on again, I reauthorised and reinstalled the spotify app in the sonos app en the google home app but now i'm running out of options. could you please help me? If i ask other things, like google search, it works. So it really is the connection with spotify I think. Hope to hear from you.kind regards,Mathijs
There is no way to set your Google Assistant volume separate from the Soundbar's TV/music volumes. This means that if you muted your TV before last switching it off, you can barely hear Assistant (though it appears at least to have a minimum volume). And it means that if you last listened to your TV at high volume and go to interact with Assistant late at night, you likely will wake up your whole household. There was a thread on this which Sonos closed a year ago. At that time, people were complaining Sonos hasn't done anything about this known issue for two years. Why are we even wasting our time with feature suggestions, if Sonos won't take one which already should have been obvious anyway?
I use Spotify (premium sub) through Google Assistant and it hasn't been working for months. Telling me to use the app is ridiculously unacceptable. I bought the roam for it's integration with Google as I'm not always at home and my kids like to use the roam to play music too. When can we expect this to be fixed? I've updated the firmware and tried re signing into Google. A number of times.
Hello. I’ve done most things I can find on internet to add google assistant to Sonos. Linked google home to sonos, have USA in profile, re-installed app, …I just can’t get an option to add GA in Sonos. Any ideas? I can add Alexa and sonos native assistant, but cant find GA.ThanksV.
Good day, I would like to ask when voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant will be supported in Panama. I bought the product at an official store in Panama and was excited to use the built-in Google Assistant, but it's not currently available.Sonos Voice control is incredible, and I would prefer to use it. However, it says that it's not supported for YouTube Music.
My Sonos One has been working for months correctly until a few weeks ago. Google Assistant works fine for everything I ask (timers, start playing, what time is it, ...) EXCEPT pausing music it’s playingI thought it would be fixed via this topic , but alas, still the same.MUsic is on my Synology NAS, it plays just fine but I can’t pause it!I’ve already readded the Google Assistant, shut down NAS, shut down One, didn’t help.
Hi, I live in Tunisia and I have a sonos play 3. My question is why sonos do not work with google home in my country? Thank you for your help
Hello Recently Apple Music is no longer supported with Google Assistant. But only through Sonos. It is still functional with Google. Someone this is why? Is it a bug? It's probably related to the conflict between Google and Sonos. Already YouTube Music was down for 2 weeks. Now it's Apple Music's turn.
So today I ran into an odd issue with both my Move and Roam, when I go Hey google play XXXX on Pandora. It will respond playing XXXX on Pandora, then silence. Same thing happens when I say play XXXX on YouTube music. It will response playing XXXX on YouTube music and then silence. If I go into the app on my phone and select what to play, it will start playing on the speaker.Losing the ability to have music play via voice command just started in the last day or so. When asking the google assistant about weather and such, it will respond as expected. It seems to be just with playing music currently.I’ve tried rebooting the devices, no change. I removed google assistant from the Move and no difference. I’m not sure if this is stemming from a larger issue I’m having with Sonos and google assistant where when Pandora is playing I can’t use voice commands to like a song, again I need to go into the app to do this.
When I use the sonos app I can choose for TuneIn radio and spotify. The music of choice will be played. But when I use Google home assistent, the voice (over the sonos app) tells me that spotify or tunein will be started but no sound will follow.I tried all the steps in this topic: What can I do to resolve this problem?
If you have an Android, you set your dual/separate audio to a sonos speaker and connect to it via Bluetooth and then connect to a google home speaker via Bluetooth. Then you can go into your google home and play on all google speakers. The downside is that you can only get the one sonos to play with google Groups.
Hello, since I bought Sonos Beam my experience has not stopped deteriorating (impossible to broadcast from YouTube, Group impossible with other speakers, and recently Sonos devices can no longer be by default in Google home) . The reason is this war between Sonos and Google. Although on the bottom it is Google which is wrong and which is largely responsible for this bad experience, I could not replace goggle assistant. So it's my sonos that I risk replacing. Wouldn't there be a way to make google assistant and sonos voice control cohabit? THANKS
I see a few other posts about “Sorry, I don't understand issue” playing in the middle of the night from the assistant EVEN with the mic off. None of them have a solution! This is happening to me and is maddening. Please help
I read that there’s an outage that causes Google Assistant to say that it’s playing a song but the song doesn’t actually play. I was having that issue and so I removed Google Assistant from my Beam and Move. I didn’t see that the outage was happening until after I did that. Now I’m trying to add Assistant back to my speakers but every time I get the, “There was a problem adding Google Assistant” error. Is this also related to the outage? I’m guessing so but confirmation would help ease my mind a bit. If anyone knows, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks!
When I say hey Google play Pandora, it's says it will play it then nothing. Anyone else having this issue. Started a week ago.
Hello. uaing a one year old Sonos one for a year with GA voice control to play TuneIn radio stations via my Spotify account, The Spotify account id setup as the default music sercive and worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. After the voice command, nothing happens, but I can start th3 service via the Sonos App (old on3) w/o problem. I can also ask GA to stop playing but not start,. Anyone with ideas where to start ?
I am trying to link google assistant and my Sonos app and am getting error messages saying I need to link speakers to my Sonos account. When I check my account, the connect:amp shows up as expected. I’ve tried linking the two services from the Google side and Sonos side, but same result with both. I’m using the same Sonos account everywhere, and have reviewed the support articles posted already. Anybody else ever face a similar issue? Or is this product not compatible with Google Assistant?
I switched all of my Sonos devices at my upstate home this weekend from Alexa to Google Assistant (2x Beam and 2x Sonos One) and everything worked great and controlled all of those as well as my 3x Connect:Amp devices. The Beam CEC control to turn on and off TVs with Google works great! I attempted to update the Beam and Sonos One at my apartment when I returned to the city and when I run through the process, the Google Assistant app fails to find any devices. My apartment setup has the same Sonos account with the latest firmware updates, same Google Account (which is configured for two homes) and is on the the same UniFi networking equipment (different SSIDs). Are there any known limitations with a single Sonos account at multiples homes? There shouldn't be any limitations on the Google side as I have Ecobee thermostats at Google Home locations. The only other difference is that that I don't have any "real" Google products like a Home Mini at my apartment, so I'm wondering
I have setup Google Assistance and when I ask to play music from e.g. Spotify Google confirm and say it will start playing. Nothing happens. This goes for all my Sonos devices. I tried to remove Google Assistant and set it up again. Same result. I can ask Google Assistance for other things like the weather and then it works. I am running the latest version of the app and all devices are updated. All worked fine until maybe a week ago. What to do?
So the Sonos Era 100 and 300 have been officially announced - without support for Google Assistant. The following article from The Verge (https://www.theverge.com/23627044/sonos-era-300-100-announced-price-features-hands-on) mentions this: ‘Sonos says this is due to changes that Google has implemented for companies that want to run the voice service on third-party hardware. Patrick Spence claims it’s unrelated to the ongoing legal battle between the two companies and insists Assistant is now more of a “heavy engineering lift” than it was before. “Right now, we don’t see it being worth the effort. We hope Google will take another path that will allow us to continue to offer it in more of a lightweight manner the way we do today.”’Does this mean that those new speakers cannot be controlled by an additional Google Nest speaker either via the Google Home integration? And will this lack of Google Assistant support eventually affect owners of existing Sonos devices, such as the Sonos One/Move
How can you use ifttt to play radio 4 on sonos through Google assistant
I have just setup my two new Sonos One 2. gen. When I try to connect/setup to a voice assistant, I can only choose Sonos Voice Control (see picture). I already have the google assistant app and google home app.
We are four people in our familiy and we have four sonos devices spread around the house which we all use from time to time to stream Spotify from our own accounts. It all works very well when we use the app. However whenever somebody uses Google Assistent voice control to play a song on spotify it automatically streams music using my spotify account - regardles of who gives the control. This happens even if i’m at work. How can we set it up, so it uses their own? If that’s not possible how can we then make a shared account for the house - and use our own private when out? Cheers!
Alarms don't seem to be set through Google Assistant. Steps to reproduce: "Hey Google, set an alarm for xxx" Google responds that alarm is set "Hey Google, what alarms do I have set?" Google responds that no alarms have been set
