Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello, I have a pair of era 100 that I use at home as a stereo pair.  Both are connected to the home WiFi and everything is ok.i am taking both units to a wedding celebration to play some music via Bluetooth (at least that was the intention). I now realise that without the units being connected to a WiFi network they can only operate as individual Bluetooth speakers not a stereo pair. i have a spare WiFi extender I can take with me to the wedding party but the party is in a field hence there will be a WiFi network but no internet connection.the WiFi extender has a dns server so it can allocate ip addresses.I already tried the system last night on my home WiFi network and pulled the plug to the fibre to simulate the set up for the party, seemed to work OK.Provided that both 100s are on a network with valid IP addresses should the system work without internet access?any other way to set this up?thanks for any and all helpDave  

Hi!Im about to build my own home cinema, but i have a question.Im bying a projector screen that is mounted in the ceiling, and a tv on the wall, so i will connect the Sonos Arc Ultra to the Tv and Projector at the same time. Is it possible to conect the Arc to the TV with the optical input, and the HDMI Earc to the projector?I know that the optical input only can deliver 5.1, and the projector will have HDMI earc for the full ATMOS. Thanks! 

My Bufflow NAS drive stopped working due to SMB(!) issues, but did work perfectly with Windows 11 to stream music, approx 18 months/2yrs ago. I have since purchased MacBook Air laptop and need to purchase a new NAS drive to transfer music for iCloud, to again stream. I’d appreciate anyone who’s done this, advising which NAS drive they are using, I’m ok with reasonably simple setups, but nothing too complicated…. I don’t expect recommendations but would like to know what works with MacBook and SONOS… all a bit of a minefield…. Thanks in advance 

Can I reset Sono's system to out of box settings to get rid of an old Apple Music login that is no longer accessible? 

I’ve seen this issue discussed on various forums and across the internet, but no real solution has been provided to the users. Configuration: Arc Ultra + 2 Era 300 + Sub Gen 4 When I switch off the Sub Gen 4, the bass becomes much more present and dynamic—it really pops out of the mix. However, with the sub enabled, the bass in the 80Hz–40Hz range sounds muffled and recessed. Try playing Fast Car by Tracy Chapman in high resolution. It’s very noticeable: with the Sub Gen 4 disabled, the bass sound is clear and well rounded, but when the sub is active, it loses clarity, body and impact. I’ve already experimented with Trueplay (on both Android and iOS), sub volume, sub phase, and EQ settings. The issue persists and seems to be related to a crossover problem between the Arc Ultra and the Sub. Best regards Federico

Bot (received as gift) Sonos Portable Play 5 (Generation 1).  Challenge, after not using for months, I struggle for days trying to get it to operate; it won’t login to play music.  On my iPad & iPhone there are two apps installed: Sonos S1 to operate the Play 5 (Gen 1) device and Sonos (app) to operate the Roam (portable; which works fine).  BUT, the older Play 5 (Generation 1) feels obsoleted by SONOS.  That’s annoying as the system is good and plays well (when I can get it working).Now there is a SONOS S2 app that supersedes opening the Sonos S1, so I cannot move forward with the Play 5 (Gen 1).  Every “year” I am challenged to get this operating.  Annoying.  Why would I want to buy another Sonos device when different operational challenges occur.  To boot, one cannot talk to a live person for help.  Why Sonos???  I invite someone to help me.  Thanks,

HIIhave sonos play 5 how to connect to my Tv ?My Tv only have optical out

Prior to the app update, I would often use the “Go to album” function a lot. Its useful if you can only remember the name of a track from an album rather than the album name, its useful for exploring albums within playlists, etc. and in general it was just a useful and easy to use feature.The alternative, of ‘Go to Artist’ then scrolling through sometimes dozens of albums is clunky and frustrating. I’ll often end up literally googling an album name to search for that rather than finding the album in the app itself. Why is this seemingly very simple, but very useful feature still missing 12 months after the app update?

Has someone experienced trouble getting your Bandcamp collection (new and older bought music) showing in Sonos app to play? or does the collection appear out of phase so that when you play a track another one reproduces instead?Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sonos Roam 2. second time dead now. Last time I had help from SonoS Service, thank you, great service👍. It happens again. Tried out Standard reboot, forced restart and factory settings. Nothing works. Status at the time is red light while charging and nothing else. Any ideas?

Hi all i have a Sonos one second gen and it’s been very good for a long time. However since changing my internet provider to EE in the UK I can’t get it to work. I did a factory reset, plugged it into my router with an Ethernet cable, but I still can’t get the app to connect me. If anyone has been through this and found a fix I would be very grateful   

Hi!If your Sonos cannot connect to WiFi, it uses an internal alarm sound to wake you up in time. Initially that it fine, I am not getting late.But if the WiFi is coming back, the speaker still insists on you getting up, run over and press the button to stop the alarm. Even it should already have recovered and WiFi should be back up. At least, checking the app, I see the speaker and can try to start a normal station on it, but it continues to beep. I first have to get to the speaker an tap it before the radio station can be set.I wonder if that is really necessary?

i have had the app for about 4 months. At first everything was working perfectly fine and all of a sudden it logged me out of my account and when I tried to sign back in, it redirected me to the website and the “sign in” sign was still appearing. it has been like this for the past couple of months and in the meantime, the app logged me out of my Apple Music account, which is very similar to my Sonos account and now I cannot login into my Apple Music on the Sonos app so basically I just cannot use the speakers from you because I used them mostly to listen to my music from Apple Music and set on my alarms in the morning! Please help me do something about this issue! 

Hi there - I have a lot of smart wifi devices so Ill start with this as NOT using a mesh network is simply not an option for us due to how many smart devices we have in our home.  Having said that, I have multiple Sonos devices and am running on a router specs below: 3 sonos one speakers  1 sonos amp 1 sonos playbar 1 sonos subwoofer  2 sonos one sl speakers  I have an Eero Pro 6E router. I have tried everything I can think of that i found online to no avail and the lack of features in the app is not making it any better. The last ditch effort is what i recently did I connected the playbar directly to the Eero via ethernet I have no way of telling whether or not it successfully connected as there is no way to apparently see the WM (wireless mode) on the app on the iphone and the web app does not show this information - so I cannot physically tell’ It is how ever playing music so its connecting to somehow apparently this was once a feature that was removed and is pending being brought

My alarms kept disappearing until I installed the app update. Now all is well 

Bonjour à tous, je rencontre un problème récurrent de décalage de son vs image lorsque je regarde la TV en direct en UHD.  ma configuration: - décodeur TV sosh relié à TV connectée Samsung (modèle de 2019) via HDMI - TV connectée à la  barre de son sonos ARC ultra depuis port HDMI ARC via câble HDMi sonos d’origine.  problematique: - décalage de son par rapport à l’image lorsque je regarde la TV diffusée en direct en UHD. -pas de décalage de son si je déconnecte la barre de son de la TV et que j’utilise les hauts parleurs de la TV -pas de décalage de son non plus si je regarde du contenu UHD en replay ou sur plateforme de streaming en différé. La problématique ne concerne que les flux UHD en direct.  Auriez vous une idée de la provenance du problème et comment on pourrait le résoudre ?  en vous remerciant d’avance   

Hello, new to Sonos speakers and I love how clean they look in the living room. I do value accuracy with my home theater TV/Speakers. I have two Era 100’s as surrounds on a console table behind the couch with a Beam/Sub Mini and just curious how to angle them or how to properly set them up.I currently have them pointed straight to the TV but depending on where I’m sitting on the couch they can be pretty loud. Especially with stereo content playing music with speaking as music seems to go to rears. I have used TruePlay to get them started and after I was able to reduce TV Surround to -3 which matches other speakers with my dB meter. After running TruePlay the surrounds say they are more than 10ft which i know is not accurate and the only way to change that is by turning TruePlay Off. When I turn it back On it defaults back to more than 10ft.Any suggestions? Is it better to run without TruePlay? Are we able to have rear speakers off when Stereo content is present and only play in front,

My Samsung Frame TV is connected to my Sonos Beam (Gen 1) via an HDMI-ARC connection in the Samsung OneConnect box. I subscribe to a variety of streaming services (Netflix, Prime, ...). All my Sonos audio sources, and all the streaming services play at a normal volume. However, when I am watching live TV, max volume is about 20% of the other sources. When I look at the volume slider through the Sonos app, when TV is playing, the slider is at 100 and barely audible (whereas with my other sources, the slider is rarely above 30%). How do I boost the TV volume?

I’m sorry but as much as I like your hardware, I just can’t use your product. Your software team has let you down so badly. I have a sonos era 100 that I bought 3 days ago. Already I know I can’t use this long term. I’m using the system with an apple iPhone runing spotify and apple music. The Sonos is in the room where my router is. My other system (Denon Helios) works fine - never had any connection problems. The Sonos app had numerous connection problems out of the box. Then when it finally found the device (Im not sure how as I just kept trying and retrying) it locked it so that I couldn’t play spotify or apple music through it until I restarted my phone. Since then I find if I play from my computer and then from my phone the phone won’t connect until I restart it. Just to restate. This doesn’t happen with the Denon/Helios system. If you could see the ridiculous picture of my phone leant up against the sonos device. It is finding every other device in the house apart from the era 10

We are facing the following issue with a system where 2 Sonos Ports are connected to a Sonos Ready amplifier by Onkyo. Despite pass-through mode, the volume fluctuates unpredictably and constantly. Please advise. 

I was using Play:Ones in a couple bedrooms for white noise, but for the past several months+ the white noise (one "song" from Spotify, on loop) will change during the night to other music. The music change seems random, not when the track comes to an end.The music is not from any of my play lists, and if often of genres I generally don't listen to.No one nearby has or had ever had access to my Wi-Fi.Monitoring software on my laptop isn't detecting any network interruptions. The Wi-Fi signal at the speaker locations is 5/5 on my phone. Any ideas as to what is causing this, and more importantly, what could fix it? Thank you.

Just a warning to anyone who hasn’t upgraded their IPAD to the latest Sonos App (80.20.34) yet be aware that having updated mine it is now stuck in the “setup loop” issue where it prompts for me to go through setup EVERY time I launch the App.  To debug I deleted the App and Re-installed it   but that has made no difference. Diagnostics submitted but no solution from Sonos support just yet.  

After listening to a radio station or TV sound there seems to be no easy way revert back to playing the loaded queue for the device.  On the old (IOS) App (from a year ago), the now playing screen always used to have a ‘queue’ icon in the bottom left which would quickly enable the loaded queue to be re-started after listening to the radio or TV - this no longer seems to be an option with the new App?Can it please be re-instated.This facility is still available using the Windows PC controller (and also using SonoPhone App).  Would be nice if this were available in the official App.

Sonos ace says there is an update in app, however the update splashscreen continuously polls and doesn't reach a conclusion. This is after an app reinstall, a headphone reset and on multiple WiFi and also 5g. Any users had similar issues.Android 14 Samsung s2280.20.33

I have a perfectly functional Sonos Gen 1 system with several Sonos amps driving in wall and freestanding speakers and subs. Obviously the older stuff is not really supported anymore, but it still works fine. Question is…can I purchase a Sonos port and integrate it into the existing system to upgrade to the newest operating system? Will it then feed to the other amps (there are 4 total.)I hate to toss perfectly functional equipment. I typically listen to only 1 or 2 rooms at a time from my iPad or iPhone as it’s just me living in the house.
