Replacement options for Gen 1 Sonos Connect/Bridge

I have a Sonos set up that was installed in 2013.  In the last 1-2 months, my system will cut out for 5-10 seconds.  This will move from room to row with no specific pattern.  Sometimes it will happen 3x in a row about 10 minutes apparent.  Other times it will only happens once or twice with an hour between.  When it cuts out in one room, you will still hear the Sonos playing in another room.

I currently have 3x 1st Gen Connect that connect via a Bridge to the Wi-Fi.  These 3x Connects support three different rooms.  The speakers are not Sonos and are powered by a separate amplifier.  So each Connect attach to a different channel on the amp which power the speakers in the respective room.  We also have a 4th room that uses a Connect Amp that powers a set of floor speakers.  All Connect components are connected via a Sonos Bridge and controlled through the Sonos App (not the S1).

I normally steam SiriusXM and Amazon Music.  Sometimes we will listen to a CD

To trouble shoot, I have installed a new Bridge (still a Gen 1, just new in box) and moved Connects to new rooms (trying to isolate Connects to see if one is bad).  None of these have fixed the issue of it cutting out occasionally.  I have not heard the Sonos Amp cut out yet.

I am running out of ideas on how to fix the problem and figure maybe there is an issue with the compatibility of Gen 1 system with original app since neither are supported by Sonos with updates.

if anyone has a suggestion, I would love to hear it.

also, if I was to pull the trigger on a new system, what would I need?  Just the Port and if so, is it a 1:1 swap for each Connect (I.e. 3x Ports to replace the 3x Connects) and there would o longer be a need for a Bridge?

Can you hook any of the Sonos to Ethernet and remove the Bridge? That would be my first option as the Bridges are showing hard to diagnose issues internally as well sa failing power blocks.

A possibly better alternative is to move to a wifi only setup with no Ethernet involved.

Not sure why you aren't getting updates, all your Sonos and even older gear is still supported, not getting new features for S1 and maybe limited features for older S2 that has no memory to gold the new stuff.

Worst case wait for the issue, submit a diagnostic and CALL Sonos support.
