Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello everyone!I am still newer to Sonos and have a Beam Gen 2, Era 100’s, along with a Sub Mini. I am curious if using an SPL Meter is still recommended for my rear speakers or do I just let TruePlay do its thing and keep it where it at.I have heard that we need to use our ears more with these setups as it’s more room filling pseudo effects rather than direct. I tend to be a slave to the SPL Meter and making sure all the channels are level. Maybe I just need to change my thinking.Thanks for any input!

My SONOS was working great for the past year- until it wasn’t last week (just as an app refresh was released.) After spending 4 days troubleshooting, with ChatGPT and multiple calls to SONOS, we narrowed down the likely issue to NAT interference between my Vodafone router and ExpressVPN. With that, we unplugged the power from my VPN, and tested with both Sonos radio and Gloval player. They worked. The larger NAT interference solution from the SONOS tech was for me to call Vodafone and ask them to put my router in bridge mode, or switch the router out for a modem. Only snag  is that I’m posted to Germany. Still, Google translate helped me schedule a call with a Vodafone rep later today to try to address the issue. In the meantime, even though my network is showing up in the app, my Sonos radio and Global Player are connected to the app, and I have internet and WiFi working, I’m getting an error message “Something went wrong. Hi, I have 3 perfectly great sounding but old Sonos 1, 3 and 5 speakers that I’d like to convert to Bluetooth. Am I right in saying that if I purchase “any” one Bluetooth enabled Roam or Era Sonos device that I can convert all of my current devices to Bluetooth?  If my thoughts from my research are correct will one Roam or Era cover all 3 of my old devices?  Many thanks in advance. I have an Ultra Arc connected via Earc to my LG tv.  When I set up the Ultra Arc I attempted to have Sonos recognize my tv remote.  It wasn’t working in some aspects so I skipped it. The tv remote controls the volume coming out of the tv.  When I play music through via Alexa through the Arc, end the music and later turn on the tv, the tv remote for sound control is not working.  I can change the volume on the Sonos app.  I usually have to turn of the tv off to get control back. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Hi all, I'm possibly looking at grabbing Sub gen4, whilst they are on offer, but I have a question. I know the Sub and mini cannot be paired together.So,I currently have a beam and Sub mini in my living room, a few ones darted round the house and a pair of ones in stereo in my kitchen. Can I unpair the Sub mini, and reconnect it to my stereo pair for music And use the gen 4 with my beam? Occasionally I have music play though all my devices at the same time, how would this work with the mini and Sub gen4?Would it work? Thank you. 

Does adding a Sub 4 impact the experience much more than what i am getting from the current set up of Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300

I reverted to Android 16.1 after the May 2024 update disaster and have been quite content to stay there until recently when I purchased a Sonos Roam 2, when it recently went on sale.   However ttempting to add it to my system appeared to require a system upgrade (i’m assuming this means firmware *and* app)!I have 2 S1’s, a S3, a S5, a Port and a Beam.  I also have a Sonos Roam (version 1) which bricked due to battery issues. (I bought a replacement battery and may attempt to replace myself)  I also have a turntable, a CD player and a vintage Kenwood Ka-8300 amp hooked to some vintage FMI speakers.  I use Sono’s music library feature (stored on a NAS) alot, and also stream Spotify and mostly local radio stations.So here are my questions:What is the latest state of the app?   I see that the latest update was about 2 weeks ago (5/6/2025)  and it mentioned fixes to Music Library folders - which I use as my primary Music Library interface If I do update and don’t like the results, can I sti

I am having a hell of time reconnecting my Sonos One to my WiFi network.  Just when I think I’ve found the secret sequence of steps (and I’ve documented them for myself and AWAYS requires a factory reset and setting up a New System), those steps no longer work and now I’m getting an error message I’ve never seen before (“Your Sonos has been connected to the network but may not show up...”).  What the heck is that?  I can forget about connecting this product to Spotify now.   Come one, guys.  I need a much more repeatable process from you.  Oh, yeah.  One other thing.  Why is the speaker unexpectedly dropping off my WiFi to begin with.  With this new error message I can’t seem to get it back on to where it matters...so I guess the question isn’t relevant.  If this product is too old to support Spotify on a WiFi network, let me know….and if you can guarantee that it will.

I have an issue which was reported in another thread, where selecting a track in Deezer then selecting Start Radio causes a track to start, play silently for 4-5 seconds, then skip to the next track.  It loops that play/skip sequence continuously. The song titles look appropriate as they whiz by, I just would have expected each to play fully. It’s not a Deezer issue in itself, because this works fine in the actual Deezer app; it just fails when using Sonos to play Deezer.  I’m using a Sonos Port, with the Sonos ecosystem correctly linked to my Deezer account (I can play other content from Deezer). This seems to still be broken today, although a reference in the other thread to it being queued up for a fix.  The other thread is locked.  Is this a known issue still? 

Hi, I recently bought a pair of Sonos Era 100 speakers and connected them for stereo. Works fine with Spotify. I then tried to send the sound from my Xming Page One Google TV/ native Netflix projector to the speakers via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connection works fine, but there is no sound when I watch video and connect it to the Sonos speakers. I tried everything, also removed the stereo couple and tried with only one of the two. No sound. It’s not the projector though - when I connect the projector to my Bose headphones via Bluetooth the sound is crystal clear. Anyone any idea? Could it be that the Sonos Era 100’s Bluetooth simply doesn’t work with projectors? Seems I still cannot use the Sonos app to find artist albums in full. Is this just me. I really miss the old app...

Dear Sonos Community,I have 2 Stereo Pairs of Era 300s with Sub Mini in my house and just love the sound and dynamics using the Sonos App.Just bought a third pair of Era 300s to use on our patio / winter garden for partys during the summer.The aim is to feed via line in from a laptop as I want to use a software that controls & synchronizes audio, video and lights (via DMX)(Audio stream is: Laptop -> Soundblaster GX6 via Optical -> RME ADI 2 DAC - > Era 300 Line InThe first pure audio test via VLC Media Player was successful, however the max volume and dynamics via line in on the Era 300 are nowhere near vs when I play the same track via the Sonos App. I test various settings re the input gain in the Sonos App, but this did not make a real difference.Since the Equalizer settings etc. in the Sonos App als have an impact while using line in, would I need to crank up the volume in the Sonos App first to the max level to get the full performance of the speakers via line in when

I’ve turned status lights on and off. Muted and unmuted the speakers.  Any others suggestions other a piece of tape?

Hi All,Long time listener…I am having this issue in the Sonos App when I search on Spotify.  More prolific artists have lots of albums but it only adds so many.  I can’t seem to find this issue on the forum anywhere.  Can someone help me out? 

Hey guys, i hope somebody can help me solve this or can tell me what i do wrong :-)Just installed my sonos original wall mounts for the Era 100’s. The wall is made out of concrete, so i used the provided plugs and everything went well.Now i have 2 problems with both mounts it seems;At step 6 i need to place the wall mount into the bracket on the wall and slide it down to “lock” it. Both of my wall mounts wont lock and they’re loose. I can wiggle and move them and this prevents me from positioning the speakers right. So the part with the speaker does not lock tightly with the part on the wall. The 2nd problem is that the mount does not seem to hold the speakers weight well at the ball joint. I unlock the mount with a 90 degrees turn, then i position the Era 100 right and then i lock the mount again. I have a daily alarm set on one of my Sonos speakers.  If I disable that alarm in the app, eg when on holiday, the alarm is successfully cancelled on the speaker, but on the phone app I still get a notification each day to say that the alarm has started.  Is this a bug - is there a fix?

Any info on this. Nothing in the release notes area. Can’t see any changes or new (aka returning old) features. 

Unable to set alarms. System fully updated. All existing alarms deleted but nothing new is saving. 

This is so, I work installing sonos at homes something like "distributor" I have a problem with a client that when trying to connect his sub mini to a beam (client has 2) does not work It connects but to the seconds it appears that it is not connected. Technical Service told me that it is something about the proxy but they have not answered me about what should be done. Has it happened to anyone else?

Have seen lots of comments on this. Purchase the Sonos Ace headphones for my wife last week at the airport, and when plugged in to watch a movie, the sound is barely heard. This is using the USB C to 3.5mm cable.  Good to know the issue isn’t isolated to me but not good to hear it might be a broader issue. Has a resolution been identified?  Thinking it will be easier just to get a refund and buy the Sony WX5’s as this is what I use and there has been no issues. Main reason I purchased the Sonos Ace was because the Sony WX5’s don’t bluetooth well to the Sonos Arc on my TV and Sonos advised there is a known issue with LG, so best to the buy the Sonos Ace headphones. Go figure...

Ciao a tutti, ho provato a collegare le mie 4 era 100 alla rete wifi in 3 stanze diverse. Una prima volta ci sono riuscito, ma non riuscivo a farle suonare tutte ma solo nelle singole stanze. Successivamente non sono più riuscito a collegarle non le trovava, nonostante le avessi resettate tutte. Cosa devo fare?

Info overload trying to find this answer….I am not smrt when it comes to this type of thing. We have a Sonos amp, which we have situated in the furnace room next to the smart wiring in our home. The kitchen ceiling speakers (not Sonos) are connected to the Sonos Amp in that furnace room as that is where the ceiling speaker connections are located. Now my question…..it is possible to connect the tv on another floor to the Sonos Amp via the smart wiring (somehow) in the furnace room without moving it from the furnace room? Like through the router? ethernet cable? or some other way…..I know it is likely easiest to connect the amp directly to the tv using the arc; however there would be no way to connect the ceiling speakers as there are no wires to connect them near main floor tv.I am hoping someone can make sense of my question……..

I have a home full of Sonos. Have had them since 2008. For the past five years or more, the app and products have gotten less reliable and glitchy. Now, I can add to the list the orange light brick of a Roam. I’m not going to call support or attempt to get a new one. Other attempts at support have resulted in zero meaningful help. Once in every room. I’m now not replace defective Sonos products. Totally disappointed. I’ve been loyal, now feeling scammed with crappy products and service. Once I used to recommend Sonos, now… I just for each one to fail before moving onto to another brand   Roam bricked. Move glitches. App randomly plays, stops, plays. A totally unreliable experience all around. Sad

As the title suggests - I strongly suspect my 3 year old Playbase’s WiFi card has given up (I know how common this issue is/was). It has gone from the app and no amount of un-plugging from the wall, or re-booting the router helps. It is used in my bedroom as a standalone TV speaker and to be honest, that is all I use it for. It still works with the TV and luckily I had programmed the TV remote to control it and had the bass and treble levels all set up as I wanted it.From my understanding of searching the web, Sonos no longer replaces these like they once did and only offer a money off coupon upon the return of said Playbase.So my question is, I assume it will continue to work totally fine with the TV via the optical cable and therefore I should not worry about the lack of connection to the internet? If that is the case, it’s better for me to just keep it rather than spend money on another speaker that will only ever be used with the TV upstairs.Oh and to add - it does not show as conn
