A month ago my playbase play 5 system developed a glitch when playing my music playlists The techs couldnt figure it out so in frustration I bought a new system Arc ultra and era 300s surrounds . I thought I had everything set up But noticed that some of the songs in my playlists were played in Dolby Atmos and they sounded awful and you really couldnt listen to them. I asked the community for advice and got a few suggestions of like turning off trueplay but I didnt really want to keep having to tweak the system every time a song was played in Atmos. Today I reached out to the support team and instantly problem solved. I had in the app Spacial Music immersive 3D button switched on. Big mistake If anyone else thinks atmos music is awful turn Spacial Music off and the music now comes out in HD or ultra Hd . It is very simple when you realise but all things technical are a complete mystery to me

+9Thanks for sharing! Which streaming service are you using? I’ve a similar setup and never have problems with Atmos, nor Apple or Amazon.
And, to avoid the problems with Atmos the solution is to turn off Atmos capabilities? Really? 😅 Never call Sonos Support in case of headache…
Atmos is a great experience for me, and the reason I got the Era 300 instead the 100. Keep pushing to find a real solution! It’s worth it.
Hi I use amazon unlimited The Sonos tech sorted out the problem I switched off the Spacial Music button in the Sonos app and all my music now comes out in HD which is much better Some of the music remixes are badly done and Atmos makes them sound so bad I cannot listen to them. But what I will do is when I put a movie on I will switch the button on again. As I said I am awful when it comes to technology I think its an age thing. But as of now I am happy with my new system, Thanks for your reply greatly appreciated.

The Spacial Music toggle is only relevant when streaming music, it has no impact on TV sources received via HDMI.
