Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I recently got a few Symfonisk speakers, and encountered and issue when adding youtube music, my primary streaming service, to my account. When i go to access my playlist, most being over 100, with a few encroaching on 500, i find that the list will loop after the first 100 or so songs, meaning i am unable to view any songs in my playlist after the first 100. Steps to reproduce the issue:Add Youtube music account Open any playlist over 100 songs Scroll down the playlist until you reach the 100th song, and voila, you will see that same section of the list repeat over, and over, and over, and over, and over!This is an issue I've had for a while, i had a Sonos play:1 a few months back, and it had the same problem. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, using different phones, and as previously noted, even using completely different products, all with the same problem.I can add any more details if necessary, but

Hi. I own sonos arc, era 100 and sub (gen3) i usually use my speakers for 3-4 hours a day and i plug them on and off every single day. I want to know by doing this am i damaging my devices or is it okay to turn them on and off from power every day

I have a Marantz SR6014 with 3 Sonos amps already installed across 3 zones. I added a Sonos Port to the receiver so that I could stream music through my TV surround as an additional zone (added to the phono rca connections) however the sound is not very clear and even after adjusting the eq etc, still a little muffled. My question is, if I replace the Sonos Port with another amp, would it sound better? Could I just hook it up to the rca ports on the receiver, or is there a better way for optimal sound?     

Hi,For more than a year now, I’ve had a persistent issue where I need to re-authenticate my YouSee Music account in the Sonos app **every single day** to be able to play music.I’ve contacted Sonos support (ref: ******** ) and was told the engineering team is aware and working on it – but no ETA has been provided. Also, there’s been no clear statement on how or when affected users will be informed.I’ve followed the “remove and re-add service” workaround from YouSee, but it’s only a short-term fix. Hi Just bought a Beam and connected to system with existing Play 5. Works fine in a group while playing music, but the minute I change to tv the Play5 drops out of the group.   Anyone got any ideas? 

Hi!I have a Play5 speaker which keeps turning itself down. Other devices are unaffected. It doesn’t seem to be a stuck button on the device or a controller.Is there a log I can view to see what is causing the volume to reduce?Thanks. 

Hi-i have 2 Sony cd mega players- a cdp-cx450 and a 300 disc version. They can be daisy chained together (which means only 1 input to the amp is required). I’ve got a Sonos port and a Teac amp (with numerous input and output possibilities. One Sony player uses the A1 control system and the other uses A1-II.I also have wired speakers hooked up to my amp (I’m using port both to create a zone on another floor and also to accommodate streaming of analog equipment (the cd players). I can get streamed music to play through the Port, but not my cd players. I’ve done this setup previously but in spite of extensive effort so far (and one not at all helpful call to Sonos support), I haven’t gotten it to work. I’m thinking it is a Sonos software setting (maybe related to pass through or group (which I don’t recall using when I used a previous version of the Sonos app). Has anyone gotten this or a similar setup to work? Anyone have any ideas?Thank

This is me: I am a 79 year old guy who began my hi-fi journey in 1971. Last year I upgraded from an Arc to an Ultra; I hear a positive difference. My rear surrounds are in-ceiling Klipsch speakers powered by a Sonos Amp; works fine, a real improvement from the SL Ones, which I sold. My Sub 3 is in the hardware mix, too. Good device.Late to the party I guess, but I just heard about Sonosequencr a few days ago, and I am interested. I am reading all I can find on the internet, but need more information from real users.I would choose between a pair of Era 100s or Fives as exernal l/r speakers, but space and budget have me looking to the Era 100s. Looks like I still have a 15% discount coming from Sonos. I would love the Fives, but WAF would prevail. I have a Sonos Ray connected to a somewhat old (~2017) Samsung smart TV (through optical cable). I followed the remote setup guide, and it worked. But a day or two later, the remote stopped working, or actually works only very rarely (it may change the volume once or twice, but then stops). If I remove all the universal remote setup in my TV and go through the process again, it works again, but only for a while. I have gone through this a couple of times already.An obvious bet could be my remote's batteries, but I have tried with new ones. I just wonder if anybody has encountered this or knows how to solve it. (Apologies if it's been asked already, but I didn't find this precise issue asked).

I'm planning to wall mount two sonos five speakers in a large game room. Better to mount in vertical or horizontal position? 

How can we remove other guests from spotify connect.So they are no longer linked to a speaker or multiple.We have a house that we let friends and family come in. And we ourself are also in the house often. But sometimes the Sonos starts playing music - and then someone's Spotify is still linked to sonos.How do we get rid of it. Since there is no Sonos account linked in the services.And since there are many friends who also can connect to the Sonos. We never know who is / was there. And played on the different speakers.We have Home Assistant running - if this helps with a solution.

When the HE, double Hockey Sticks is Sonos going to fix the Android S2 app so that there are playback controls on the phone lock screen??? This is a ridiculous, and somewhat insulting, oversight!

I have tried today to get support re my ace headphones via phone with sonos support. Headphone volume not very loud when listening to streaming services in swap mode. I was cut off after 30 mins on the first call then the second rep did not appear to know a thing or knowledge of sonos. I have been with sonos for over 10 years and this is the first time I have needed tech support and this was rubbish. How can I speak to a supervisor or someone who does not have to look at the computer to find out what he has to do to help. Worse customer service ever. Rant over sorry but spent the last hour being wound up by sonos so called support.

I have a 4k Panasonic dvd player ub450. It has 2 outputs of HDMI. One output for audio video combined and another for audio only. Here’s my question, audio video out to tv for video, the audio out to beam sound bar. Now how would I get other sources to the soundbar such as Directv, netflicks,etc if I’m using audio out from 4k dvd player to sound bar? Also this seams that I would not be using E Arc on my tv since sound bar is occupied with HDMI from 4k DVD player. My feeling is, this set up is for an AV receiver only am I right? How do I get my Beam to play music from my network library? I have a Microsoft environment. 

Hi everyone,I’m trying to recover my old first-generation Play:5 (ZonePlayer S5). It had been working fine for years, connected over Wi-Fi through a Sonos Bridge. Recently, it stopped responding and disappeared from the system.I tried performing a factory reset (Mute + power), and the LED now flashes green as expected — indicating it should be ready for setup. However, the device no longer shows up in the Sonos S1 app, and I can’t find it on my network (it doesn’t appear in the router's DHCP client list, no IP assigned).To troubleshoot, I turned off and disconnected the Sonos Bridge, then connected the Play:5 directly to the router via Ethernet. I’ve also tried different cables, ports, and repeated the reset several times — still no detection.Has anyone experienced something similar or found a way to bring the device back online?Thanks in advance for any ideas!  Olivier

In the past few days, my Sonos app shows a small circle with a "1" in It showing in the upper corner of the speaker image in the display. It looks like.a notification indicator of some sort.  But selecting it does nothing.What is it for, and why has it just started appearingThanksRon

Hi there I have been using Amazon Prime for streaming and just seen its now £20 a month.  Please can anyone recommend a good streaming app for my in multi room amp the speakers are built I to ceilings.Thank you.  

So, like many, I have older S1 SMBv1 compatible units that can no longer access shared drives on my NAS, even if I enable SMBv1 on the NAS. I was frustrated and had read many on here with the same issues and frustrations. So I set about finding a way around this.My solution will not work for everyone (I know, sorry) but those with a compatible NAS should be able to do this.What worked for me.I run TrueNas on my Beelink NAS. (It’s available as a installable package on many NAS brands) I installed Plex server on my NAS and configured it to run a media server on my local network only. I then added the Plex music service to my old S1 devices and now have access to all my music again! Here’s a video to help with the setup of Plex on the NAS. Just got a secondhand Sonos Play:5 but the previous owner didn’t transfer ownership, and I don’t have any way to get in contact with them anymore. Is there a way to fully reset the system so I can get set up as the new owner? I’ve tried factory resetting, but the app still says I need to sign in as system owner to get it added to my network.edit: Got it! Thank you both!

Last year I had to travel over Mother’s Day, and I set up an alarm to play a Mother’s Day playlist for my wife that has become a comical tradition in our family.  That playlist has been long since deleted (and doesn’t trigger weekly), but every Sunday I still get an iOS notification and I can’t for the life of me see why.  Anyone else seen this or have a suggestion on how to make it stop?   

I finally given up and thrown the multiple of thousand dollars of Sonos equipment into the garbage… Because it is just garbage now. After months of trying to get it to work, it cannot work reliably and it is worthless so great job. 

My Sonos 2 has the alarm set for 7:00am every day, to Watercolors on SiriusXM. Some days it plays the music, other days the chime plays.  I can override the chime by selecting the Watercolors through the app, but it is quite frustrating. 

Has Sonos lost the plot, the new app is rubbish.  Tried to listen to Beethoven’s 5th and I couldn’t get the speakers to go on full surround. Apparently this function has been removed?
