Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Wife and I "gifted"  ourselves two new Sonos Roams in Dec '23, one orange, one green. Of course how little did anyone expect the Black Spring (year, and continuation for some) that Sonos would force upon us.Yesterday, her roam decided to up and experience the knocking noise all of a sudden while playing.FIX (PERMANENT?): It took about, if not over, 30 seconds of holding the power button to turn it off. Turning it back on, all seemed back to normal.  Time will tell.We were hoping that the Roams were going to be able to eventually link, wired or wireless, to build a stereo pairing for use at camp sites, picnics, and back yard hangs while relaxing with a beverage or gardening. But someone decided to torpedo the app, and the rest is history. We clearly knew the quality of device we were buying into for portability which could even be an extension of our other Sonos speakers. But the app-hot-mess and other shortcomings nearly immediately put the Roams into the buyers remorse column as soon

I have a large Sonos system (19 devices).  I have purchased another 10+ devices in the past but upgraded them.  So needless to say I know my Sonos.I have had a problem with a Ghost TV  as the main imput into two of my rooms that only have amp(s).  A while go I factory reset all of my devices and everythign was working great.   Then one day I choose to expand the TV to these other rooms.   I have not been able to remove the Ghost TV since then.  L2 has even replaced one of my amps.    The good thing is that after 9 months I think I know the fix.  I have to factory reset all of my devices (2+ hours) to get rid of the Ghost TV, and never expand the TV into those rooms again.    The problem with the Ghost TV is that those rooms become surrond sound speakers only.    NO - I will not talk to support desk any more.   Hours upon hours to get to support desk to go now where  - you guys are painful.   Enough with varify my phone number, email etc…..Every time - Every transfer after 20 min of let

Recently after updates on both SONOS and WebOS I started experiencing problems with playing content  over eARC.what happens is that DolbyAtmos or 5.1 shows do not use all speakers on ARC and content especially  dialogues are muffled.i need to change to PCM to have a decent sound quality but then no Atmos or 5.1.My setup: ARC, 2xEra 300 and Sub gen 3TV LG C1 WebOS 6.5.1-35Settings:HMDI Bitstream, eARC ON, Pass Through, SIMPLINK ONTroubleshooting: reset to factory settings both TV and Sonos system, unplugged from power both, contacted Sonos and shared logs few times, nothing.only solution which works for now is to unplug eARC, plug in to Optical disable eARC and SIMPLINK, play the content for a while and then re-plug eARC mainly for Dolby Atmos content.usually works for few days and then same problem occurs. no idea whether it’s an issue with TV or Sonos.any ideas or help? many thanks   

Hi, I just got a brand new pair of Sonos Ace headphones. Connected them via Bluetooth to my OnePlus 10 Pro, running OxygenOS 15. Then downloaded the Sonos app and tried adding the headphones to it. The app finds the headphones, tries to set them up, then when the screen displays "preparing the Sonos Ace" it interrupts and says it couldn't add the ace and to check the Bluetooth connection. I've tried resetting the app, resetting the Bluetooth connection. Nothing is helping. 

Hi Team,Already have read almost every forum post and tried every trick from completely reinstalling all my Sonos devices till completely redesigning my wireless.Iam using a arc with a sub and just replaced my Sonos Play 1 surrounds with 2 ERA 300 devices.The problem is they keep losing there connection in the surround enviroment and i don't get it why. There is not a real error but sometimes after 30 minutes and sometimes within 3 minutes the ERA300 speakers disappear in the app and I cannot get them back.I tried reseting them, unplug and plug the cable again.Also set my wifi to only use 2.4ghz, 5ghz, disabled things like client loadbalacing, band steering, added fixed IP addresses etc etc.. but iam pretty lost now.Iam at the point of returning them because my play 1 were always working fine but for some reason its not possible to get a steady connection with the ERA300’s...(EDIT) added my play 1’s again..but they disappear now as well.. so not sure if its me / the app/ my wifi setup

AirPlay to my Era100 from my iPhone music library was working yesterday. It is not today, but it works from the radio channels from the Sonos App. Chatted with the help centre. Made me switch to Bluetooth. Ok, it works but the sound quality is clearly worse, which is what I was impressed with, great sound via Airplay.Anyone experienced this?I will submit a new request to Sonos.

I have an amp and Ace headphones. The amp is connected to my Samsung laser projector through hdmi arc and my headphones through Bluetooth. Whenever I select the audio output to Bluetooth it selects it for a second and the the amp recapture the audio selection

Can I use Spotify connect with Play:3 and Play:5 generation 1 ?The reason I want to use Spotify connect, rather than just the Sonos app, is the iPhone will be in Spotify offline mode (and hence playing playlists previously downloaded), purely to save data.It’s being used in a garage with no PC, or broadband, but there is a 4G router (with limited monthly data). I tend to listen to the same playlists, so it’d be daft to use data for no reason.I tried it today, and none of the speakers showed up in Spotify connect, though the same iPhone works fine on my home Sonos set-up which is multiple Move:1 Gen 1, and an Amp Gen 1. Sonos app working fine in the garage set-up, with Spotify account, but data use too high as mentioned.It’s a new iPhone set-up (recently reset), with a fresh install of Sonos S1 and Spotify.cheers

Hi ForumI am considering buying and Arc ultra soundbar to replace my Sonos playbar (optical connection only) I plan to keep my sub and 2xsonos 1s connected as a sound system in the room with the TVMy panasonic TV TX55EZ952B (2018) has an HDMI ARC portSo my first question is will this be a suitable connection to the HDMI eARC port on the Arc ultra soundbar?My second question is will there be limitations of connecting Sonos Arc ultra to an HDMI ARC port (after some limited research I cant find out if the port on the panasonic is HDMI 2.1 either it just says ARC)I have heard there are compatibility issues between Sonos and Panasonic is this true?😯 Thanks in Advance

 I just bought both a new TV LG OLED G4 and a Sonos Beam. When I try to paid the Sonos to the tv via the app, even though the Beam is connected to the tv via HDMI eARC, it says that TV speakers not connected and I can’t get my Sonos beam to work. The TV does recognize that the soundbar is connected, tho.

I’ve just put Sonos Era 100 in my workshop. But “workshop” isn’t an option I can choose as a room name. Is it possible to customise the list of rooms that Sonos provide??

I was one of the many users who experienced issues with the app re-write, but slowly, very slowly most the issues were fixed. Then a few weeks back there was a minor app update, supposedly to fix bugs and improve reliability, but it has had the opposite effect for me. Issues have included:* Being logged out repeatedly* Having individual speakers disappear - particularly my Beam.* Having the entire system temporarily disappear* Having my favourites or recently played lists grey out / disappear.Nothing has changed on my network. Its a simple single wifi router network in a freestanding house with little network interference. Router is a ~9 months old mid-range TP-Link.This is driving me nuts. I was finally not detesting using this system and now I'm back to wondering about the resale value.Have others noticed recent downgrades in reliability? What can be done? 

There is still one big issue for me regarding to volume control of grouped rooms. In the past the most comfortable way to set all grouped rooms to the same volume level was setting the main slider to zero. Then you immediately were able to raise volume for all grouped rooms at the same level.Now I have to wait for about 8 seconds!!! after setting to zero before I can raise volume in sync. Otherwise the grouped rooms won’t set to zero.I really hope Sonos will find a way to get this sorted. A maximum of 2-3 seconds to wait would be welcome for me, or an optional button in group control would be fine to activate synced volume for all grouped rooms (maybe at level of the most „silent“ room of the group).

Elles sont positionnées à côté de moi abAvec le wifi en face dans la même pièce. Ce problème est insupportable surtout avec un système à ce prix.

As per the Oligo Airborne announcement, some high level exploits using AirPlay have been made public.  Tow of them - CVE-2025-24132 & CVE-2025-30422  affects Speakers and Receivers made with AirPlay SDK. Can someone from Sonos comment on whether Sonos products are susceptible to exploits, and if so, when they will be patched, and any products that may not be patched?thanks,Rob

I have a full sonos setup with sonos sub playbar and the other small speakers, i just ordered a laser light for partys but i did some research and found out sonos does not have any way to connect to DMX? Does anyone have any other suggestions/ recommendations/solutions??  can i forexample connect to my sonos system on s pc and run a dmx cable from the pc to the laser?

I noticed that after updating the app and speaker firmware, when I unmute by clicking the mute button, the volume jumps back to what I set it to but no music plays from that speaker. After a few seconds it drops to 0. This only happens with airplay. This is not happening when using bluetooth or playing directly from the app. 

New generic batteries don’t seem to work ?   

I received a shipping label from the trade in program. I packaged and sent my Play 5 and it was received by Sonos 1 week ago. when should I expect to receive notification of a credit amount available to shop with?

Given the system/configuration: Room 1 with a TV/Ray and Era 100, and adjoining room 2 with a TV/Ray. Sourced from room 1’s Ray, but muted so that sound is only playing from the room 1 Era and room 2 Ray.It is awesome that Sonos supports this configuration. However it is impossible (so far as I can tell) without the Sonos app to restore this configuration when it is lost. And, even with the app, it can still take several steps (and become frustrating) to restore it exactly as described, and very challenging to train someone unfamiliar with the app (i.e. just make it work they tell me).So my question is what is the easiest way to set / restore that configuration?I have tried, for example, to use Sonos Voice (talking to the Era since the Ray’s done support voice), e.g. “hey Sonos, source room 1 ray from the TV” almost works but breaks the TV/Ray off from the original group (and starts playing the Era’s previous source on the speakers left in the broken group). 

Where are the Sonos Ace release notes? I keep getting firmware updates but no release notes in the app or the website from what I can tell.

When will I be able to connect two Sonos Ace to one Sonos Arc Ultra?!?

I want to connect my PC to sonos ray through wifi or ethernet, I could not find any tutorials on how to do it
