I am looking for some help with an older Sonos system. It is a simple system with just a Sonos Connect plus a Sonos Connect Amp. All connected to a Fritzbox 7582 and a Synology DS 220+ via ethernet cables and controlled by the Sonos S1 app on Android or Windows 11. The system has always been also connected to the Wi-Fi network.My “simple” problem is that any system configurations, for example the room configuration, are erased every time the Wi-Fi is disconnected. This in not such a big deal but is simply annoying, especially as far as I remember was not a problem with earlier versions of the app.From what I have read the solution is to disconnect the Sonos from the Wi-Fi network. This should be simple to do as there is a position in the app for exactly this. But when I do this, it simply switches the Wi-Fi back on after several seconds and tells me I have to check that an ethernet cable is connected.Apparently according to some internet forums one can send a http command to the Sonos

Hi, Has anyone noticed there appears to be a bug with the Sonos app / Sonos Ace Noise Control functionality?  Selecting the noise control options with the Sonos app on Android does not change the mode on my Sonos Ace headphones.  The function can be changed directly on the headphones and reflects in the app when it changes, but it cannot be changed from within the app itself.

If you’re getting a “password incorrect” error when you’re trying to connect your SONOS product to your WIFI, below is what is likely wrong (*Spoiler alert, it is likely NOT that you entered the wrong password, accidentally copied and pasted a space into your password, or used a “tricky” special character). The culprit is most likely that your SONOS component (or app if you are a S1 user) is a model that cannot connect to your router’s current setting...BUT...you can probably do a quick setting change to your router to fix the issue. For example, my old Connect Amp running S1 needs my router to be set to 2.4 ghz and 802.11g. My new router broadcasts in both 2.4 and 5 ghz (so no issue there), but it defaults to 802.11n only. Hi all,I'm not sure if this issue has been reported before — I couldn’t find anything similar after searching.I’m using a Sonos Era 100 speaker for Microsoft Teams calls on my HP EliteBook 630 G10, connected via Bluetooth.The issue arises when I answer or start a call (either incoming or outgoing). While the ringing sound plays normally, once the call is connected, there is often a delay before I can hear the other person, or sometimes I hear nothing at all, regardless of how long I wait. In those cases, I have to end the call and try again.Additionally, Teams chat notification sounds are inconsistent — they play only sometimes, almost as if the speaker is in sleep mode and doesn’t always "wake up."I’ve already tried several things, including disabling Hands-Free AG Audio, perform all the updates etc. but the problem persists.I understand the Era 100 isn’t Teams-certified, and otherwise it works great (especially for music), but since I work from home, a reliable Teams experience is es

SO I have an Ultra Arc, 2 rear ERA300’s and Sub.My question is, Sonos doesn’t support DTS:X so what happens when you play DTS:X content?  

We recently purchased Polk wired speakers for our outdoor patio setup, but when we try to play sound from the tv through the speakers, the sounds comes out glitchy and cutting out. How do we get this to stop and get sound without the glitchiness. When we play music through the speakers from our Spotify or Sonos app we do not have any issues with the sound.  The sound has been run out of the tv via HDMI and optical cable, into the house and down to the basement where it is then connected to the amp.

Sounds good… except every second appears a lag or drop in volume. Happens no matter what the streaming app being used.Tried all the Sound Format settings, eARC on / off, CEC SIMPLINK on / off, changes to Auto / Passthru / PCM, changes to digital sound format MPEG/DD5.1/DD5.1+/HD ACC something / AutoProblem only goes away when output format is set to PCM. But then this is only Stereo 2.0, losing the surround etc.Haven’t tried Optical yet, because I can’t find the Beam adaptor. May need to order one onlne.Tried turning everything off 2 mins, on again [at the wall, not standby]. 

I am on version 16.1 and I have not updated the Sonos app since the major meltdown with the release in May of 2024. I have seen all sorts of posts on the web as well as within the forum but it all gets complicated to know for sure whether I can finally come out of the woods and count on Sonos to deliver.My music is ALL on my local Synology NAS. I use PLEX to select from my nearly 1,000 playlists. I am in the media/radio business so it’s all part of my deep and robust library to fit my whatever mood.  I NEVER stream using Spotify, iHeart Radio and other streaming options.  I have all the music I want and need and continue to add to my library.  If the group could confirm my questions/concerns below, I would be grateful. And if you can share any screenshots of areas showing that it’s working, that would be appreciated.Will my local library show on the latest version of Sonos? Hello - is it possible to connect my Sonos Move 2 to an existing S1 system? My current system only has S1 components (all connects). I recently purchased a Move 2 but it seems as though it cannot be setup using the S1 controller and asks to use the new Sonos app. When going to the new Sonos app I cannot add it either because I cannot join my S1 system via that app. Please let me know! 

Hi,New Sonos user here, just bought an ERA 100.  Have it all configured the way I want it, sounds great, but am having a problem with personal playlists with Spotify.  Spotify is connected just fine, I have a premium subscription, I can play anything I want through the Sonos with it using the Spotify app, BUT it seems to have difficulty finding some of my personal playlists using voice commands.If I say “Hey Sonos, play ______ playlist from Spotify” it works sometimes, but other times it ignores personal playlists with the exact name I gave and and jumps to some other playlist (not my personal one) that has a similar-but-not-the-same name.My list names are not complex.  For example, “Female Vocalists” works fine, but “Dance Music” does not.  Asking for the former results in hearing that playlist, asking for the latter results in playback of a similar playlist from somewhere else on Spotify.The interweb thinks there’s somewhere in the app one can go to manage playlists, I see that for p

Good Morning All,I have a customer who has a sonos one speaker it will randomly “lose” a room in the sonos windows app,I will have to unplug the power cable and plug it back in then the app picks up the room  the above only works for a short while eventually i will need to reset the speaker and re add it using the mobile app Could this be something to do with some kind of conflict in windows 11? 

 I've found that there isn't a lot.if battery info in the app. My speaker was at 6% and I had to go hunting for it. There's plenty of space to put the battery % here or even just display it when the speaker is  below, say, 10%. 

I use m3u playlists created elsewhere to play my SMB shared music on Sonos.The playlists are imported/added through folder add in library.All files are on the same share, in the same folder structure.The playlists are added properly as far as I can see in the (Windows) desktop app and it plays fine when I hit shuffle until it stops randomly. I can see (on screen and in the useless help/log) that Sonos desktop app thinks the share does not exist (or the file, the wording points to the whole share) "Unable to play XX - the share //XX does not exist".It was playing just fine until this. So I hit play manually on the songs it thinks it cannot access and sometimes they play right away, sometimes Sonos keeps stating the same error for a few tries and then plays it anyway. I’ve also seen it playing a file while simultaneously saying that it cannot play it because the share does not exist.What is this? Is there any better logs than the help/error log that says almost nothing?Just to weed out s

Why do i have to appeove my YouSee account on Sonos every second day?? If i dont do it i cant play music. 

Just pulled my old pair of Play 5 Gen 1s out for a listen. They still sound so good.  Does anyone know if they are capable of playing a lossless stream from Apple Music?  I’m playing it but there’s no “lossless” logo appearing as it does in the new Sonos app when using a compatible speaker.  I found a list of Sonos devices that don’t support lossless and the Play 5 isn’t on it so I assume it can support it - I’m just unclear whether it’s actually playing lossless due to the lack of the lossless logo.  EDIT - I’ve confirmed that Deezer HiFi is supported as you can see the track format is showing as FLAC.  Here’s the list of devices from Sonos: ”Can all Sonos products stream lossless audio from Apple Music?Most Sonos products can stream lossless audio from Apple Music. Hi all — hoping for some insights or a solid fix. I’m running a large Sonos setup (7x Sonos AMP, 1x Arc, 1x Sub Gen 3 unused currently) on a UniFi network with the following gear: UDM-SE USW Pro 24 PoE Multiple U6 Pro access points (Garage, Kitchen, Hallway, Master Bath) iOS devices with latest Sonos app  The SSID is unified (“LifeIsGood”) across all APs (2.4 + 5 GHz, same VLAN), and most of the Sonos AMPs are wired into the switch (see attached screenshot of MACs labeled SonosZP).    ❗Problem:  The Sonos app fails to find the system on my iPhone unless I am physically near the Kitchen AP. As soon as I roam to the office or other APs, the app shows: “No products found on LifeIsGood” Once I return to the Kitchen AP — it all comes back and works perfectly.    ✅ What I’ve checked so far:  Client Device Isolation = OFF Fast Roaming = OFF Multicast Enhancement = OFF (but willing to test ON) Multicast/Broadcast filtering = OFF Proxy ARP = OFF Same SSID for all APs (non-hidden) No VLAN separa

Arc Ultra soundbar is my first Sonos piece. I cannot use it because it keeps demanding I sign in as system owner.

My system is a Roam, OneSL, Play:1 and Connect.  All four appear in the app and disappear, reappear if I recycle the power on an individual unit. For some reason both the OneSL and Play1 are no longer able to play. When I select a source on the App I get “Couldn’t play content, try again” and “something went wrong” This has only occurred recently, but can’t identify any specific date. Nothing in my network has changed.Both the Roam and connect perform as normal. Any clues?

Hi,When playing music from the the Sonos App on Apple Music, I keep encountering connection issues - songs not being able to play or skipping or play halfway and skip…This issue happened last year, with one of the App update, this issue seemed to be resolved for the most part until recently. Recently, I have not been able listen a full album or playlist on Apple Music. The issue appears to be more severe when playing Dolby Atoms format, but also happens to other lower quality formats too. Only when playing on Apple Music.I tried remove Apple Music and re-add, reset my systems etc. Not helping. Contacted Sonos support multiple times, they kept defer this to my wifi connection/interference, which does not make sense as this is not happening when playing music on Spotify.Anyone else experiencing this?

I have two Sonos Connects and two Sonos Amps. (4 zones). All managed by Control4 and all worked fine until I upgraded the C4 controller to a Core3 and at the same time upgraded the C4 OS from 3.2 to 3.4.3. Now volume control of the Sonos Amps is fine, but volume control of the Sonos Connects does not work. The Connects go to either 100% or 0% when voluyme is adjusted. Both Connects line out settings are ‘passthrough.” C4 had no solution. Any ideas. The Connects are worthless in their current volume control state.John

Apologies if this has been answered but I can’t seem to find the exact answer.   I’ve built a golf simulator in my basement and wanted to place a Sonos Soundbar behind the screen for audio.  Can choose from either Sonos Playbar or Sonos Beam if it makes a difference.I have a media cabinet built into an adjacent wall about 20’ away from where the soundbar will be.  Media cabinet will house golf simulator computer, gaming systems, Apple TV, and an AV Receiver.   Can I use a Sonos Connect or Sonos Port with the AV Receiver audio output to connect to the Sonos Soundbar to play the audio from whatever the media source is?  Or how can I best connect the Sonos Soundbar to the AV receiver recognizing they are kind of duplicative in function.   thanks, 

Have connect my Beam 2 to my Samsung QE55Q90TATXXU via the HDMI ARC socket.  The problem I have is that the TV automatically plays through the Beam even if the Sonos app is set to TV auto play off. When changing the audio source to TV speakers it automatically switches back to the Beam which I prefer not have when just watching stand TV programmes. Any idea how to change this. TIA

So my beam is all set up with my tv. It looks like it’s playing sound but it’s not.i have a Samsung tvi can play music from the beam through the app but I can’t get any sound from the tv.please can anyone help 

I have just purchased a new Sony Bravia tv and attached my arc ultra to it. The sound is great until I switch off the tv for maybe 10 mins or more. When I switch the tv back on after this short period, there is no sound coming through on the soundbar. The only way I can resolve it is to switch off the power on my arc ultra and switch back on again which seems to work until the next time.
