Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

After the app update I just cannot use my sonos system. I did reset the app and added my speakers to the system but the app was not responding. I deleted the app and installed it again, but still the same issue. I spent literally hours with sonos support but they provided me with no solution. The situation is so disappointing. Does anyone know any workaround ?

HiGot a Sonos Connect.It is currently connected via wifi. Will both of the ethernet ports in current setup works a a switch?I mean, can I connect two computers using ethernet cable and connect to internet?The wifi is then acting as an uplink to the router.

I can’t work out why but support said there must be a little maintenance going on - but that was days ago. Why is Apple Music now on the web interface? Or the local library?

I currently am using Sonos 79.01-53290. Like many people, either this or the disastrous Sonos App for iOS and Android or both, I suffered the infamous Error 913 file sharing problem. Fortunately for me, but not for everyone, there was a solution posted on Sonos Community that was a workaround. It took a good month to fix that. And the solution DID NOT come from Sonos help desk but from Sonos Community.I have since stuck to no more updates hoping error free/stable software would eventually come.While I have a choice NOT to update to the latest software, my S2 controller (79.01-53290) now will not allow me to update my NAS music library unless I download the latest version of S2 --- Sonos euphemously says “you will have limited functionality unless you update”. Now thta’s limited functionality alright.I went to the Sonos download page and downloaded without executing the latest version and I can see it says Version 80.1-55014. Questions: Does this work? Any known bugs? Is this S2 Version

I have 15 total speakers throughout my house, the speakers are going in and out.  not an internet issue as the internet is working fine and close to the speakers.  

I purchased a Sonos Ace and Beam Gen 2. I set up my Beam Gen 2 with my surrounds (One SL and Sub Gen 1). I then set up the Sonos Ace. I then tried to use the TV Swap functionality and I was able to add the beam as a soundbar. The issue is when I actually try to swap, nothing happens and then there is a beep and the swap fails. The Beam is using Wifi. Additionally, if I then try to remove the beam as a tv swap device, it gives me an error. I am using an android device. I have ensured that all software/firmware is up to date. I have tried completely factory resetting ALL devices. I have also tried to just set up the Beam and Arc (no surrounds or sub), and nothing has worked. I would appreciate any help. Additionally, I have tried to take the advice of other posts here (turning off bluetooth and the speakers and then restarting the app, then turning them back on). So far nothing has worked. Also if it helps, im using a Google Pixel Fold on android 14

Strange situation just happened to me.Have owned and used a pair of Play one’s for years now as a surround sound for my Beam. No issues at all.Recently changed broadband provider and was re-pairing all the speakers in the network, when ONE of the surrounds cannot complete the connection process from the app, where it asks the speaker to emit a pairing sound. No sound is emitted at all.Other speaker connects and works, no issues at all, every time. Have tried a factory reset and even when it asks me to press the top play/pause button to try that method, still no sound at all. It was working perfectly until the change of BB provider. Now I have one live surround and one mute speaker. Any ideas about what else I can do?Thanks in advance.

I’m persevering with the new web app controller but this has now appeared on the home screen:  A whole list of BBC Sounds shows, labelled as “Pinned collection” with the error message underneath each one:  “No longer available.  Go to the Sonos app on your mobile device to remove”. I have no idea how to get rid of these. They do not appear under any favourites list on my mobile app.  They do not appear as saved shows in the BBC Sounds Service when accessed via either the desktop controller or the mobile app.  (They are shows that I have listened to via BBC Sounds in the past but they aren’t on any “pinned collection” that I can find). Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of these? Many thanks. Moderator edit: changed “Windows” to “web app” as screenshots show web app, not Windows Desktop controller.

I seem to have acquired a new bug over the last month or so. I have a large (18 unit) installation made up of several generations of Sonos players (all S2 compatible) Recently, one zone has consistently drifted out of sync with other zones when part of a group.  The “drifty” zone is a pair of Play: 1s.  It’s a bit of a problem child anyway, often becoming unresponsive to the new app until rebooted. I have a mesh (TP Link Deco XE75) mesh wifi system that provides solid coverage over the whole house.  The zone that drifts is connected to the same access point as the adjacent zone that continues to play nicely. I have tried rebooting the router and then the APs.  The problem returns almost immediately. Anyone else experiencing this?  Is it confined to the older players?  

I have two Era 100 speakers stereo paired in my Work Room setting and two Era 300 speakers stereo paired in my Living Room setting.The Era 100’s are behaving as they should and show only under the setting name on Airplay.The Era 300’s show as two Living Room settings on Airplay. One is the stereo pair but the other is a total phantom and has no function.I have un-paired and re-paired the Era 300’s and I have totally factory reset both Era 300 speakers, relinked and and re-paired them but still I get the phantom Living Room speakers with no function.Is this a SONOS issue or an Apple Airplay issue? Has anyone any idea how I can fix it?

After the latest update I cannot control speaker volumes independently - I only get one volume control for the group. Isn’t that one of the values of Sonos to be able to control each room/speaker independently???? 

While my music folder (on an external drive connected to a Mac) finally shows in the app, after various attempts and a lot of forum reading, there is no music in my library. None of the single tracks in the folder, or any of the subfolders, show. I can't find any solutions to this in my searches so far, so wondered if anyone knew what else I might be able to try.Needless to say, this didn't used to be an issue and I was using this folder for years quite happily until the well publicised recent issues ..

I've tried uninstall/reinstall, restart both apps, remove and reconnect..refresh Playlist, pretty much everything I can think of and Sonos will only see about half of my Amazon Playlist. I do have the Amazon unlimited. The ability to play my full Amazon Playlist on my Sonos system on shuffle is about 95% of the reason I have this system and I would really like to figure out how to get it back to working properly like it always did up until recently. Does anybody know what this issue between Sonos and Amazon Music is? Thanks!

My speaker will register on my network but not my app 

When I plug in my Sonos Roam, the red light on the front appears but it does not respond in any way to pressing power buttons or any other buttons. Prior to this I was having a lot of software issues with it, it needed a factory reset at least once a week to function normally.  It’s essentially an expensive paper weight, any idea what is wrong with it? Any advice to get sonos to replaceit?

White light on won’t respond to power button for 10 seconds. I can hear the switch click.  tried The Play/Pause hold and then power button.  nothing.  Suggestions?

I don't change this setting often, so I believe today it was the first time I played with it since the new app was released, and it seems to be doing nothing now. In the past, there was a big difference between Ambient / Full when listening to non-Atmos Music tracks, a.k.a. non-Spatial Music tracks, on my Beam 2 + Symfonisk surrounds.Anyone else?

Hi Sonos Team,Since the recent app update, I’ve encountered several critical issues:1. *All my products (Playbar, Sub, Sonos 1 x2) have disappeared from the app.*2. *I performed a factory reset on each device to reconnect them, but they are not reconnecting.*3. *The Playbar shows an error indicating it's connected but doesn't appear in the app.* I’ve attached a screenshot of this error and followed the suggested steps without success.4. *The Sonos 1 speakers get the same error message as the Playbar.*5. *The Playbar does show up on my WiFi network.*Everything was working perfectly before the update without any issues. Please advise on how to resolve these problems as soon as possible.   

I changed my Amazon password.  Now I can’t use the Alexa voice assistant thru Sonos. I went to the app - and when I try to add a voice assistant, I am told that Alexa is “Already added”OK but it’s not working. So then I go to the “Voice Assistants” option under Settings > Manage -- and I see no Voice Assistants listed.  So there I tap the “Add a voice assistant” option and I am taken to a list which tells me Alexa is “Already added.” Sonos - please fix this bug.  Or can someone tell me how to work around this failure?

I know the warranty is for only 1 year, but as my luck would have it one of my Amps just stopped working will not power on. So I called support knowing it would be bad news, but thought hey since my wife wants me to remove all Sonos speakers after the app update since she hates the new app and I know it’s a huge big issue for a lot of people, so I thought maybe Sonos would send me a refurb replacement once I shipped my broken one back. That seemed fair to me and my wife will not see I had to spend money on any Sonos products and everything would be back up and working for me. However, I was met with strong push back that all Sonos could do is give a 30% discount. Again, totally get it and hey 30% is better than nothing, but right now when the company is trying to keep any loyal customers they still can (and boy am I loyal I have my entire house all rooms with Sonos and I also did my parents house the same way as well) and thought maybe they would be more flexible with their warranty du

I have a house literally full of Sonos…please please explain why your App is sooo poor?  Cant search Amazon Music or Spotify Cant change volume Can’t change roomscan do all of above on Alexa…however funnily enough sound quality isn’t quite the same …Please please sort it out!

I have been listening to Apple Music on my Play 1s from my MacBook Pro for about two years without any issues. A few days ago I swapped out my old router for a new eero Max 7 and have been working through the usual issues.  Now Apple Music doesn’t show/recognize my Play 1s.  After extensive time with Sonos tech support, they said to delete the Sonos app on my MacBook Pro and re-install it.  I was able to download the 63 MB dmg file from support.sonos.com/downloads but the app wouldn’t install when I tried to drag it from “Sonos” to “Applications”.  Apple says it is an incompatibility problem with the Sonos app and I tend to believe them.  I have reset and reinstalled my Play 1s on the new network using the Sonos app on my iPhone and I can play from Apple Music on my iPhone to the Play 1s without any issues.  How do I get the Play 1s to show up on Apple Music on my MacBook Pro?

I set up 3 alarms for my Move.  Finally got one fired up, set the duration for 2 hours - 2 hours and 10 minutes later - it is still playing!!  What gives???  This is on my S2 system.  I  have an alarm set on my Play5 on an S1 system for later, will have to watch that one now

Just picked up a discounted roam 2 and I am having a HECK of a time getting it to work like a sonos speaker.Aside: I’ve learned done research at this point and learned about the issues with the controller app update. I didn’t actually touch the sonos apps often - mostly just played directly to my previous One SL from apps or airplay. When that speaker stopped working recently I sold it and used the money to buy this one.I mention the SL because I assumed it was no longer working due to being out of production, or maybe because I had recently switched to mesh (TP-Link Deco) wifi.Long story short, i got the new Roam 2 to connect to my mesh wifi in 2 or 3 tries yesterday (after a factory reset and logging out of the app, first setup failed on ‘need to update your Roam’). Then this morning app says it doesn’t detect my system. I’ve tried to add it with factory reset and logout 4 or 5 times, and i’ve gone into my mesh wifi settings to tell the router to keep this devices on the 2.4ghz netwo
